You don't have to live in pain!!! I have scoliosis due to an accident when I was a kid, and have been seeing a chiropractor 3 days a week for many years. This was starting to take up a lot of time and money, and there didn't seem to be a long term fix for my problem. My husband insisted I try something else, as this was not only time consuming, but very costly and I started to only feel "normal" with an adjustment. I was even dreading our honeymoon because I was afraid I'd be in pain. My husband referred me to Tapan and his team at synergy rehab-who he saw for back pain. I was quite skeptical but I went to appease my husband. When I arrived, I was greeting by the friendliest office staff! They are so warm and genuine! They truly care about the patients and always have a smile! When I first met Tapen, he did a thorough consultation. While my condition wasn't an easy fix, he was confident he could help. They are much more thorough and hands on than your typical PT. They make sure all exercises are done right so you don't cause more damage. They really know how all the muscles are connected and can help ease pain by certain exercises and stretches. I forgot to write about their excellent RESULTS! I've been getting PT therapy for several weeks now, and it is SO encouraging to wake up pain free most mornings... to find I'm slowly losing the weight that has been clinging like bark on a tree... not fast in an unhealthy way, but slow, steady - just from the extra, intentional movement that is also unlocking some "charley horse" knots that have been with me for years (no kidding)! Some days I have pain from new muscle work, but it passes and leaves me stronger and with increased range of motion or energy. This is my third experience with the therapists at Synergy Rehab. I have had a total hip replacement and two total shoulder replacements. I am so glad my Doctor referred me to Synergy Rehabilitation for Physical Therapy for my heel spur. They're so thorough and they genuinely care about the patient. I have know the founder of Synergy Rehab, Tapan Raut for 25 years professionally as a therapist, as a teacher and as a friend. I have referred over 300 patients, friends and family including myself, wife, sons, sister and mother (90 years old.) Most of the people I referred were difficult conditions that often failed standard treatments including jaw, neck, neurologic conditions, arthritic, failed surgeries, chronic and acute standard athletic injuries like football, basketball, but also dance, cheerleading, gymnastics, tennis golf, ping pong and so forth. The first patient I sent to Tapan was a middle-aged female with hip pain resistant to conventual treatments for years. She was pain free after a couple weeks of treatment. I saw her several years later and her pain had not returned. Afterward Tapan taught me of pelvic and back conditions that affected nerve patterns mimicking other conditions. In 2000 I suffered a back injury. I went to countless doctors, received back injections, attended pain management and was sent to many different physical therapy clinics but none of these measures helped. Eventually, my doctor recommended surgery. He informed me that there was a 50/50 chance that I could become paralyzed and with that information I declined. Started my physical therapy in the middle of June and stayed with it until the beginning of August.
