I loved the layout of the theater, where it seemed like all seats were good seats. They had both floor tickets where it was standing room and then seating that looked kind of like colosseum or stadium seating. Although they had this seating, the place still felt intimate and really added to the ambiance of the concert. I also loved the layout of the lobby area where there were different entry points and a good space for the vendors to sell tour merch and several areas where they had mirrors that gave great photo ops or an area to check your outfit. As someone who has acted before, I can say the issues we experienced were more on the production company than the venue itself. The main problem? Smoke. So much smoke. It was hard to breathe, my eyes were watering, and I'm a pretty tough guy--but my fiancée was really suffering. When I called to request a refund, I learned it wasn't just us. If you're going to use a fog machine, you need to disclose it ahead of time, especially for children, people with respiratory issues, or anyone sensitive to it. On top of that, there was a child crying during the performance. Instead of quietly and discreetly taking them outside, staff tried to address it in the middle of the show, which was distracting for everyone. That said, I do want to thank the venue for working with us to get a refund. The space itself is nice, and I'm open to returning for other productions in the future. Just a heads-up--the seating is very intimate, so be prepared to be close to your neighbors.

I prefer a venue like this over a large stadium or arena concert since you can get a lot closer to the artist and see clearly. There's 3 levels total with the bottom level typically being general admission, standing room. There is an ADA section on the side, though, or at least there was at the last corner I went to. Getting in is a breeze. The security people know what they're doing and move everyone along swiftly, so even if there was a line, it would take less than 5 minutes to get through. I've found that every concert or show I've gone to here so far starts pretty much right on time. The music can get very loud in there so I would recommend having some ear plugs.

Few years later we were able have a visit with our kids and there is no place in place felt bored. The interior designs and the exterior design is so wonderful and kudos to people who maintain this property in pristine condition. I was worried about the music being too loud, but it was just right. Security took longer than expected to let us in. Doors were supposed to open at 7, didn't actually open u til 7:30. It was a nice night out so we didn't mind standing on the sidewalk. When they did let us in, security was swift and efficient. Bat tenders were great.

I am sure, if communication was better, then the entertainer would try to stay on some sort of schedule. Parking is good and kept further away from the venue than other concert spaces - that help with getting out faster at the end. Unless you really want to see the artist up-close, I'd definitely opt for the lawn tickets. You still have a great view of the stage and the vibes are much more casual for eating/drinking/dancing. One major issue - drink prices are INSANE. Definitely be prepared to spend in that sense... that's the trade off for cheaper tickets than other concert venues I guess. Overall, definitely my favorite concert venue near ATL (that I've been to so far).

Interesting neighberhood with plenty of pre- and/or post- dining or drinking options. Concessions/drinks high as they are at most such venues. Clean restrooms, friendly staff. I'd definitely see another show here. I think this type of venue is best for a certain type of show--for more active shows where one might want to dance or otherwise engage a venue like The Eastern is more fitting, but for a show where you're more of a spectator absorbing the music being played this one works very well.
