The area around eatatSYRUP has no shortage of breakfast restaurants and although initially intriguing, 'elevated' anything in this area is usually a stretch. So after an initial moderate star open (mostly service) I was hesitant to try a new place especially since big breakfast isn't usually at the top of my list. This week it so happened that I was at eatatSYRUP both Saturday and Sunday morning. Saturday was in the tent with just two of us dining but Sunday was the whole family. To start, I like the decor inside as it's two or three steps above other places around the area. Even the menu design appeals to the modern farmhouse style and is reminiscent of a popular place in Geneva. On Sunday we had a 30m wait and upon checking in, received a text confirmation with website link that showed our place in line, 17th. We took the 30m and Home Depot as the website updated automatically, no refreshing. I had also set a 30m timer on my phone and we were seated before the timer ended. The menu is elevated and has several food and service options. I like that in some cases you can order a smaller portion of a meal, also their side options give you a very customizable experience. Other features include a good coffee bar with cold brew, nice boozy drink options, a waffle flight, special bacon, sandwiches with a twist, standard plates plus elevated versions like their chicken & waffles or potato pancakes. To their name, they offer 5 different types of syrup with their standard option being insanely delicious, it's a mix of salty and sweet by the addition of some dairy. My daughter ordered the loaded potato pancakes and ended up not liking them, although everyone else thought they were great. Our server was filling water and heard this, quickly sending over the manager who offered/insisted on replacing her meal which quickly arrived. On Saturday our service was fine with no issues but Sunday gave that extra level. So, give eatatSYRUP a shot as it's worth your time. Good value with large portions (even the small options!), nice menu with some unique dishes, plus well executed service and food. Taking into consideration that Syrup is very new and very busy, the wait time to be both seated and for our food to come was quick. I have done 3 takeouts at Syrup for breakfast. I order online. Less than 10 minutes I get a message my food is ready for pickup! My food is brought out in a minute. The employee running the food is always friendly. The portions are very generous. Pancakes are light and fluffy. I really enjoy their skillets as well . Food taste very fresh. I finally came in last week with my niece after hearing many good reviews about this place! Eat at Syrup is a great place with a wonderful coffee bar! Their cappuccino is so delicious. Thanks to my server's recommendation of adding vanilla, my niece loved it! I ordered a chicken and waffles and my niece had the mini waffles fight. The place looked very clean and the food presentation was excellent. I went to the front to pay and an elderly woman demanded me to go back to my table so that my server can take care of my payment. Well, while waiting to be seated at the front, the same woman was taking payments for take out orders. I thought it was inconvenient and my server came up to me and apologized for not taking my payment right away. Payments are taken by server's, but hopefully next time, she would've taken care of my check rather than bothering my server on a busy Sunday! Delicious high end breakfast in a relaxing atmosphere! The food here was excellent with generous portions. I had biscuits and gravy, which came in a skillet with two of the biggest biscuits ever! Rest of the family had an omelette, cinnamon bun pancakes and French toast, all of which were decadent and delicious. We also received excellent service from our waitress Alicia, who took her time to go over the menu with us, and made us feel welcome.
