Sunrise just keeps making me happy…read more There are new owners, or the kids have taken over, because I no longer see the staff I'm used to. But the food is still just as good. There is such variety in Chinese food, I try to get something new every other time. But usually, my favorites keep,drawing me back. The House Special Lo Mein noodles, and the Singapore Mae Fun are so good, I get them over and over. The roasted pork egg rolls aren't quite as good as they used to be, but I still get them. The interior of the restaurant is quite entertaining, so when it's Chinese time, come to Sunrise! Closed on Tuesday.

I would not recommend this place. The tables are obviously cleaned with a dirty rag. I could see the streaks on the table and it was filmy/greasy to the touch. It smelled like feet in the bathroom. Feet, of all things. My fried rice was bland and I had all of one small piece of egg in the entire pound of rice I was given. My food tasted burned. I looked through it and there wasn't any burned food. This tells me one thing, the grill was dirty. My egg roll was the best part of my meal and it tasted like it was cooked in dirty grease. Good grief! How does this place pass inspections?! I didn't even look through the place thoroughly and I could tell it was filthy. It's such a shame because I remember going a few years back and ordered the duck. It was amazing. The service was fantastic. The restaurant was beautiful and clean. Now, not so much. EDIT: I'm not sure what happened with this place, but talk about a complete turn around! My family loves eating here. read more

This restaurant is owned and operated by a very talented Chef. He visits the tables to ensure that the food and service are the best. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. You can carry on a conversation without significant background noise. The menu is a complete offering of Chinese food. The wait staff provides fast quality service. I enjoy the Lemon Chicken and the Sweet and Sour Chicken. The Moo Goo Gai Pan is also a great dish. read more

So my husband and I decided we would go there for our anniversary. We had just moved to Abilene and heard this place was good from locals. I assumed that this would be authentic Chinese not Americanized. Was disappointed. Something you can get at some hole in the wall Chinese restaurant you get here for double the price. My fav Chinese food in the country. I travel for a living and eat all over the place. Nothing's tops Szechuan! No wonder they won top 5 Chinese restaurants in the country! I'd suggest General Tsu's chicken and pot stickers. read more

The steak plate was good, the onions and peppers had a nice texture and was not soggy. it did have A LOT of juice in the box so it made quite a bit of a mess in the carry out bag. I think I will just stick to my usual ordered plates like the orange/sesame/general tso's chicken plates which are very delicious and when I add extra meat I can definitely tell there is EXTRA. The place is clean, the sushi is good, and I'm excited that Abilene has a legit sushi spot.
