I tried a couple of places in Wheaton in the 3 years I lived here, but the very best was Full Key. I only visited one time on Saturday, July 20, 2018 on a date. It just so happened to be the rainiest July day since 1970 in DC and 5th rainiest day ever in July, 6th after 2022 day had more. I lived a very close walk to this center, and I trudged out in the heavy rain with my biggest umbrella & rain slicker to meet up with my date. Service was prompt and cordial. Wow, this was one of the best Chinese I've had! As for the date, it was great. She was from one of the dating websites. We went on a 2nd date the very next day, but she ghosted me. Then, I came across her again online about 9 months later, and we went out on another date in May 2019. I asked her what happened, and she explained whatever excuse with personal stuff going on or whatever. All 3 of the dates were good, but she had her issues. In summary, in spite of my kind of weird date & such a rainy day going here, I'll need to take my girlfriend here to enjoy the outstanding food if we're ever in Wheaton hopefully under sunnier skies.

After 3 visits, I can say it's one of the best in the DMV, thanks to its flavor and food choices. You will find Japanese options like sushi, American-Chinese dishes like orange chicken, similar dishes, and Cantonese food like roast duck, Hong Kong-style noodle soups, and whole fish. They are family-owned and operated. Every time we come, the elder father is always gracious and provides excellent service. The restaurant is always quiet; you can hear conversations in the back, and as customers arrive to pick up their orders, we haven't witnessed any negative interactions. Customers are always happy with their food, and the staff say thank you. The only negative is the space. The building itself is older and outdated. In the summer, it is hot, and now in the winter, there is no heat. They have found ways to make it work, like space heaters on each table, but it can still get uncomfortable if you are dining in. The back area near the bathroom and the bathroom itself need a thorough cleaning. To me, it's a turnoff; it doesn't affect the food, but it does affect the dine-in experience. Again, overall, I love their food and believe it's a local gem worth a try.

I personally ate the chicken mei fun and the food was so good I forgot to get a picture. It was so flavorful and addicting. I added a bit of their chili oil on top and it was the perfect level of spicy that complimented my food. I spent about $108 for all our food which isn't bad to serve 7 people. This is what really ticked me off. I went to the front before we left and asked to speak to a manager. The girl looked and then looked over at her friend (who probably wasn't the manager) and said here she is. I told her what happened and she said "yeah sorry, we have someone coming next week and he didn't kill the mouse, he let the mouse go right outside". SERIOUSLY? That mouse is coming right back inside! This is a problem that pest control needs to come out IMMEDIATELY! I just watched a mouse get killed/caught while trying to eat! Instead, they put both orders together in one container, and the rest of my order was also incomplete. What made the experience even worse was the way the staff handled the situation. When I contacted them about the mistakes, they were extremely rude, dismissive, and showed absolutely no empathy. They offered no apology and refused to provide any solution or remedy for the missing and incorrect food. Even when they handed me my food, there was no "hello," no "thank you," and no basic courtesy whatsoever. The way I was treated made me feel like they were basically saying, "Just take your food and get out of here." As a paying customer, I should never be made to feel unwelcome or disrespected. Mistakes can happen, but the way a business handles a mistake and treats its customers is what really matters. Unfortunately, this experience showed me a complete lack of customer service and professionalism. I will definitely not be coming back to this place, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for good food and respectful customer service.
