Tried contacting the service department by phone, e-mail, their on-line chat. No one would call me back or help me schedule service. Given we are in the midst of a pandemic, I know that purchasing a vehicle is a little different than normal. However, trying to purchase a Jeep Wrangler from this dealership was one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had when shopping for a car. The salesperson was not knowledgeable and every time I asked a question, she had to run and talk to her sales manager. I wasn't decided on whether to buy or lease so I asked for numbers to be run a couple of different ways with different amounts of down payments. I recently bought a used truck from Terry at Szott M-59. It had just come in on a trade and had not been checked over or cleaned. It was just what I was looking for, and he let me test drive it. Both Terry and the sales Manager Paul were low pressure and very helpful. It really came across that they deeply cared about making the customer happy. We came to a very fair price and the truck was to be checked and cleaned and would pick it up. When I picked it up it was still dirty and the owners manual packet was missing. Terry made it right and got the manual to me. Remove if not allowed, So I'm sure everyone locally is familiar with the Scott M59 Chrysler Jeep dealer on M59 and Bogie Lake rd, I would be very cautious taking your vehicle to them! I never complain or have anything to say but we are so bummed out and disappointed!! We just took our Jeep in on OCT 11th to be serviced for a recall on the passenger air bag, to have ALL of the brakes inspected because there is a random squeak and for an oil change, they called us the next day to say that they found leaks on the radiator and Intake gasket also the driveshaft boot was torn and need replacing, we said great... let's get it all taken care of! during that phone call we let Hannah know (the middle person) that when the jeep starts it runs a little rough on cold start, has a idiling tick and we want that to be addressed also, she said sure I'll let the tech know and we'll get that fixed as well! So... I get a phone the same day from Hannah to let us know that the tech looked at it and it's definitely the intake gasket that's making the loud idiling sound so we say let's fix it, we get a call Friday evening that it's done and we picked it up Saturday morning, we pay 4000$ for everything and take it home, as we're pulling in the driveway, it's squeaking same as before and it's still idling rough, their closed Sunday so we called them yesterday to let them know that we paid all this money and the problems weren't fixed! We bring it back up there and they look it over, They claimed Thursday that the squeak was from an adapter on the rear brakes that they charged us for but yesterday according to Hannah the tech says now apparently it's the fronts that are making the noise, mind you all of the brakes we're supposed to be inspected but they claimed there was nothing wrong with the fronts so they did nothing to them and now it wasn't the intake gasket making the loud idling sound, it's the exhaust manifolds are cracked on both sides now and they want another 2,300$ to fix the front brakes that apparently have nothing wrong with them to begin which is what they told us so why am I paying from new front brakes if there fine?!?! while my husband was talking to her I was on the phone with Millers getting a quote for the cracked manifolds, he says 800$ out the door for everything! I took the phone from my husband and let them know that I wasn't going to pay another dime because the problems we're supposed to have been fixed already and they we're trying to take advantage and overcharge the shit out of us! I tell them I'm coming to get my vehicle and take it to Millers, cause these people have no clue what's going on. on my way to the dealership, the manager calls me and says, he'd like to make it right, he apologizes for the fact that Hannah doesn't know what she's taking about or doing, ( that's not my fault that he has a girl relaying information to customers about the repairs to their vehicles with inaccurate information)! I WILL not pay for her mistakes! he wants to know what Millers is going to charge so he can price match. I tell him once again I'm not paying another dollar, he says... "let me keep the jeep until tomorrow and look everything over and hopefully I can call you and tell you we're going to make it right and take care of everything for free, we really don't want to loose you as a customer! I say ok but if you call me tomorrow and ask me for a dime I'm coming to get the vehicle cause I'm not paying for something I already paid for that still hasn't been fixed and if I'm paying anyone anything, it will be to millers where they know what they doing and I would never been dealing with this, I get the call this morning and guess what?!?! He wants more money! he looked at it and NOW according to him, only one of the exhaust manifolds are cracked and he can't even see the other because of a heat shield so he and the tech have conflicting information again, needless to say this is a complete shit show! He wanted me to go get a price comparison from millers and I laughed and told him give me the keys, he says" if you have any problems call me" I told him I would never trust them to touch my vehicles after what happened to us, he was just fine with sending first time customers out the door with an experience like that and had no problems with that happening, so shameful! We took it to millers with the laundry list of things szott claimed to have done to make sure the work was actually done cause now I'm really not trusting this whole situation. I had a very bad experience in 2000 where I was looking for a Jeep Grand Cherokee but the sales guy was pushing a 4 cylinder sedan instead. When I got upset about it, they told me that I didn't deserve a Grand Cherokee. I told them I would buy from someone else. I went to the Jeep Dealer in Auburnhills and got a New Grand Cherokee with lower payments than that little 4 cylinder! Since then I have purchased 5 other jeep vehicles. NONE from this place. Extremely disappointed with the overall customer service at Szott. I test drove a Wrangler that was listed for just under $27k on Facebook Marketplace. Was told that the dealer initially didn't have the title(which means the vehicle shouldn't have been listed for sale in the first place), once it was updated in the system they told me the price was $31k. I spoke with the used car sales manager, Paul, who attempted to make me feel as if he was doing me a favor by selling it to me for $29,500 plus tax and title fees. My fiancé spoke with the general manager who delivered even worse customer service stating we were "like the 700th person to call" on that vehicle and was unwilling to make it right. When we pointed out that these are illegal bait and switch tactics, they claimed these listings were "system errors" and denied responsibility for their actions. However, the advertisement remains on Facebook Marketplace as it was originally posted. Ask for Brian Velkey (sp?). I was referred by a friend who works for a local company called AEV. American Expedition Vehicles, all they do is pimp out Jeep Wranglers, so you know he's gotta have the hookup. They send all of their business to Brian, so he gives the best prices around... I checked 3 different places, and he was $55 and $60 PER MONTH cheaper than the other two! I purchased a vehicle from here a couple of years ago (the first vehicle I've purchased on my own) and realized some unscrupulous things on my retail contract just recently when I was taught a couple of things... I was charged a few hundred extra bucks by their finance manager for misc charges and accessories. This is highly illegal and the dealership can be fined HEAVILY and that manager can even face jail time of up to 5 years for this!!! It's called stuffing the deal at some dealerships and they got me! I'm going to be looking into how I can get this fixed by enforcing legal action because I'm sure I'm not the only one that's fallen victim to these practices! This was my son's first purchase with his own money, and they definitely did us dirty! It is a ford focus that was posted on fb market place for a little over $5,000, we were half way into our hour drive home when he was behind me, telling me his check engine light was on, well because we purchased as is, I thought we would look into it, so it turns out as I'm googling issues with 2012 Ford Focus's, I find that there was a big lawsuit settlement on fiesta's and focus's, that there is a dual clutch Transmission issues! So then it starts not wanting to go in gear, so my son takes it in, his dad pays $1,769.12 at a transmission place, so problem solved yes... think again, he picks it up drives to his dads ... it stalls when he's turning, now it's stalling at stop signs, then today 9/16/20 he's on the freeway driving back to college in Toledo, and his car lights up with... Transmission malfunction service now, then transmission overheating stop safely, then transmission overheating wait 5 min. He has had this car literally a month, and already so many issues, so looking into the car fax, the previous owner has also had the dual clutch replaced. I believe this dealership had prior knowledge of the issues with this car and pretty much did whatever it took to keep the lights off just long enough! Trust me if we could return this junk of junk we would! Now my son has nothing but a headache on his hands!! I most definitely would Not recommend going to this dealership, extremely dishonest and we feel extremely taken!! read more

I took my car to Zsott white lake! after it had been in an accident! The service was terrible!! They did not put the plugs back in the wheel well to hold it together. They did not fix the gas tank door! The paint did not match ! There were fingerprints all over the inside and outside while we are going through the coronavirus! There was compound left all over car inside and out! They did not fix the doors on my car and level them out so rain snow and water can get in the doors! Very very troubled, disappointed!! We scheduled our oil change with maintenance repairs. I do not recommend giving them to much info at once it appears the service department cannot multi-task. Ever since we purchased my town & country they've hemmed and hawed around the issue with the brakes. We scheduled an oil change. We were concerned about hearing a squeal in the dash. ( I have experience this before the belt needs tightening or replaced.) the heater was kicking out fine and no issues with force of air from the blower. They were to replace any bad belts or check the dash for maybe a losened belt to the blower. They kindly offered a loaner ( which they charged my Mom $35 a day for) With the contingency to not smoke in the vehicle or be charged $75. The moment we entered the loaner my breathing was affected because of the residual smoke odor not clean out before loaning to my Mom. We immediately called to clarify why they had given us a smokers vehicle after making us responsible for any smells in the rental. WHAT THE! Where is my nice clean rental ?? read more

I bought my Patriot there and I also take it there for oil changes. While I can't recall the name of the salesman I worked with, he wasn't too pushy and I liked him. They are always fast with the oil changes in the service department. There was only one time I had to wait for more than 20 mins, and they were totally up front with me about the wait time when I first got there. Even though the diagnoses of the repairs was not what I wanted, the service adviser Ralph made me feel appreciated and had a great attitude, he made sure I was happy as possible before I left the dealership. I bought 2 of my cars from mark rose and it was the best experience (1 star) I go to get an oil change and they say an hour you will sit there for 2 then you ask them to check your breaks because you know they are going and they just mark them as ok? I was just at belle tire I know they need to be changed. Rotate the tires... Haha what a joke. We marked them 2 times because we knew they weren't rotating them and we were right. We told them 2 times so they take it back and do it. They charge us both times to do it and knew they didn't Rotate them but they tell you they did. This place is such a joke. I would like to let you and everyone know what I think you tried to pull on an uneducated customer. I purchased two Preowned Grand Cherokees from your Dealership in the past few years, one for my self and one for my wife. I spent over 10 years selling cars between Golling and Shuman and I know about cars. I took my wife's Grand Cherokee in for an oil change on Saturday. After about an hour a Tech comes in and throws out my wife's name, which makes me think they tried to pull this over on a women. I stood up and told him it was my wife's car but I was the one that brought it in and he look surprised. He then proceeded to tell me he needed to show me something on my car. We walk in the service bay, my car in the air tells me whom ever did the oil change before over tightened the plug and is now stripped as they have tried everything to get it out. Then proceeds to show me a quote of $1,348.00 to replace my oil pan as that is my only option. It took every ounce of me not to break out laughing! What a joke. I had them put my car back together and get it down, drove 45 minutes to Basha in Clinton Twp. Where my wife had the oil change done the last time. Place has been in business probably 30-35 years and it's the only place my in-laws will take their cars as they live just around the corner. I get there and explain to them what just happened. They get the plug out, replace the stripped one which your guys caused with a new one, did the oil change, gave me a free car wash to their car wash next door, oh and didn't charge me a penny!!!!! They will have all my business for the rest of my life, I will never service or even consider purchasing a car from your Dealership ever after what you tried to pull yesterday. You basically tried to steal over $1,300 dollars from me yesterday and your Dealership should be embarrassed by what you tried to pull. I hope this actually hasn't happened to someone there that unfortunately fell for this crap and paid that bill and had unnecessary work done. What a JOKE!!!!!! read more
