So much so, that my young boys have even befriended their favorite Garbage man (Roy), who never forgets to wave to my sons and make their little hearts day every time he picks up our trash. Not once in my 5 years since moving to the area and receiving trash pick up from Sterling Superior have I ever experiences any rudeness in ANY manner or any miscommunications/ missed trash day pick-ups. This company has always been extremely professional, consistently reliable, and quick-to-service with total poise and friendliness! The reason for my review today was due to my completely felt satisfaction upon Sterling's picking up of my family's trash today and my family's shown happiness, as well as our garbage's clean and quick removal per usual, prompted myself to go onto Yelp and finally provide a review that this company deserves after years of loyal service to my household. However, I was in total shock towards these negative and absolutely MISREPRESENTING reviews on here....... I would have to fully and totally disagree with any negative reviews towards Sterling Superior due to my personal experiences being absolutely wonderful and so much so, that I truly felt the need to leave a complimentary review on this companies consistent professionalism, friendliness, and respect towards their work and customers, as well as even my small boys. However, the Westerly PO manages to open and Charlestown does not, even when it says it is online. Mail delivery has been terrible for years and is worse now. It's often 5 days or more between mail deliveries. No truck goes by and no mail is picked up for days. Never mind the old PO motto "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds". I remember when mail was delivered to your door 2x a day. Now we're lucky if we get it at all and often it's someone else's mail delivered to my address. And if you ask a question, a snarky retort can be expected. The worst!

Every package that gets sent via USPS does not get delivered. I've tried calling to get it resolved. Each time, they swear the postmaster will get back to me. It's been 3 phone calls, 2 branch visits, and 3 weeks later, and the postmaster still has not called me. I've filled out the white card where I can designate where to leave packages. They seem to be ignoring that completely. Every time I call, they tell me that they can't deliver to my front door because they're a rural delivery service. Hm. Okay. Charlestown isn't the first "rural" town in which I've resided (and the other rural towns in which I've lived had no problem leaving packages at my door). Got another one? Oh, that's right. Then they say there's not enough space to turn the mail truck around. If I can turn a 23-foot U-Haul around at my place (which I did several times while moving in), I'm pretty sure a small postal carrier car can do the same. Today's excuse was the best: "Carrier is unable to gain access to front door to deliver the package." My God, I didn't know I was trapped in my own house! Thank goodness USPS tried to deliver a package and told me I can't get to my own front door! Nice excuse. My front door is perfectly accessible, thank you very much. Bottom line, zero customer service (literally zero.........nonexistent. they don't even contact you). The postmaster treats you like she's doing favors for you gratis; not like you're a customer who's paying her with your tax dollars. If I could have another mail service deliver all my post and parcels, I would.

Parking is ample, the machines are plentiful, the place is clean, and the staff is very friendly. But this place is expensive. Washers start at $3/load for their smallest front-loaders and it costs 25 cents to dry for 6 minutes. If I didn't like clean underwear so much, I'd be saving my quarters for my own washer and dryer.

Picture 15 years worth of monitors, hard drives, motherboards, cables and sound cards stuffed into a closet. Enter Indie Cycle. They will take your computer parts as well as any other old electric items and recycle them free of charge. Yes, free. I would have had to pay the town $10 each just to take the monitors and for all I know they could have ended up in the landfill. Indie Cycle will recycle your items in a responsible manner. It's a win-win for all. They frequent the farmers markets all over Rhode Island. You can check their website to find out where they will be and what they will take. We recently met up with them at the Barrington Farmers Market. There were two friendly people just waiting to help us unload. What more could you ask? I need to find a new place…read more Used to be clean and fairly priced, now a little grungy (ex: look at the dirt around the air vents.) And they keep reducing dryer time per quarter. Washer rinse cycles too short to get all the suds out. Always broken machines and they stay broke a long time. It seems to be about profit vs upkeep (my guess) but they did seem to solve the issue about opening on time. My only use of cleaning service resulted in damage which they claimed existed when brought in. Someone lied - it was not.
