I was looking to have our boiler system repaired, first technician said it was a bad ignitor, which it was not. Second technician said it was a bad pressure switch, which was ordered and installed. Boiler ran constantly and would not shut down, even after thermostat temperature was attained. Third diagnosis was another switch (since the first one installed was incorrect). After that installation boiler ran constantly, without burners ever coming on. Total incompetence, with no apologizes. $500 dollars later, and still no functional boiler. I contacted D & M because I was in need of air conditioning and heating repair or replacement . I will only be able to review the work, professionalism, and not the air conditioning itself since I never got an appointment to repair or replace. D&M is owned by a man named Dan Jackson. At least that is the name he gave me. He said he and his wife own the company. He states he has some employees, but didn't say how many in total. At first Dan seemed like a caring and friendly guy. He gave his sales pitch after reviewing what I currently have in my home. As he went through his sales pitch he would state that we were ripped off, and that the company before cheated us, and didn't know what they were doing. He would also throw in about his former employer, and others in the HVAC field. He would go on to state that others didn't know what they were doing, and that he left one employer because he said they didn't know what they were doing. This all should have been a red flag. He would throw out some info about other customers, and their issues that he has dealt with in the past. He said some are currently on a wait list, due to them wanting this or that done. And even talked about if they need something right now he didn't want to do, he made them wait if they had a window air conditioner. I felt from hearing this information that he thinks of himself as being above the others. Another red flag to me. At the end of seeing what I have in my home currently, he gave his sales pitch. He gave the model info, and repair/replace options. I told him what I was interested in, and he in turn said he would contact me to schedule a time within a week or two. I waited the time frame and never heard from them. My thought process is if you want my business, you can call me. I am not going to chase you down. After that time frame I contacted another company for a quote. They were prompt to arrive. They did as they said they would. I didn't hear bashing of any sort. Or what seemed like anger towards other people and companies. They came in and did what they said they would do. They even beat D&M's price. I would consider the red flags, and then the no follow up for my appointment. It's very unprofessional. Go to other installers. I am glad it worked out the way it did in the end.

The technician called me back immediately and stopped by us on his way to another job within 30 minutes of the call. As a single girl, y'all know it's hard to find good help. Wayne and his dad are AWESOME! They've installed and maintained my HVAC system with consistent excellence. I was told after a cleaning of my furnace a diagnostic of why my furnace was cycling every few…read moreminutes would be done. The technician had very little to offer to help the situation. I am not sure he even throughly cleaned the furnace. The new furnace company found the filter dirty and dust in many chambers. I had to advise the technician multiple times how to replace the panels. He kept putting the wrong panel on before the right panel. There are only two panels. The next company came out and diagnosed the problem in a rather short time. The insulation in the air conditioner had fallen on the coil preventing air flow heating up the area. He also took the blower motor outside and throughly cleaned it. Ran an electrical diagnostic and found a capacitor not within specs. The furnace is working properly now. This information was reported to the company on their feedback section. No one ever contacted me about my concerns. I thought I had done my homework. Very good Yelp reviews and a good BBB rating in Park Forest trying to give a local company my business. It didn't work this time.
