I made an appointment to have interior ambient lighting installed on my 2024 Camry Xse. I reached out to multiple lighting shops across the Bay Area and Tao gave me the best price out of the shops I had contacted, so I decided to go with him. It also helped that his yelp review was basically 5 stars. Anyway, I go to have the ambient lighting installed and the install took about 4 hours, which was quicker than what he had estimated. He estimated it would take him 6 hours. Upon seeing the lights in action, I was extremely satisfied. Fast forward two months, the lighting strip on my driver-side rear door went out and I suspected it to be a loose wire since the light would still flicker upon closing the door. I contacted Tao again and he was able to fit me in the same week to fix the issue. I've been going to T&R Lighting since 2018 after having bad experience with my overpriced HID kit installation from Xtreme HID in San Jose. I called T&R Lighting and explained my issue. I came in the next day. Tao who is the owner upon looking at the HID kit that was installed in my vehicle he told my the kit they sold me was very old by 6 years and it had different connections going into the ballast and headlight which caused my headlights to randomly turn off at night while driving or sometime not turn on at all. Xtreme HID added duck tape to get the connections to make contact. The duck tape was added when I went back two days in a row to get it fixed because I was still under warranty. Instead of giving me a new kit because of the warranty they when the ghetto cheap way and use duck tape to fix to supposedly fix the issue. It had been almost 5 years since my last installation. I recently came back to get an upgrade on my headlights because the right headlight would not turn on and I already knew it was time for an upgrade. I also had an issue with my right blinker would not turn on. Tao fixed everything around 30 minutes and I was out the door. T&R Lighting is probably the best auto lighting business I have ever patronized. I went to get replacement HID headlights for my SUV and the business I originally went to OC's OMARS CAR STEREO had terrible terrible customer service and did not give me what I paid for. Additionally when they installed the headlights, I discovered on my first night driving that they were not working at all. I did get a refund from the owner Omar, however he was very very rude. I will not patronize them again. I called T&R lighting the same day and the ownet Tao said to come in. While speaking to Tao over the phone he made me aware that HID lights/technology is outdated and the LEDs would last longer and are just as bright as HIDS. He installed the light in a matter of 10min and also noticed that I needed a device that attached to the lights that was burning out and would eventually need to be replaced. When I went into his office to pay for my balance, I noticed that they also had light strips that could be installed underneath the car. To make a long story shorter, Tao and his assistant Johnny did a superb job installing everything I asked for. Tao was very professional every step of the way and did not leave me questioning anything. When my parts were ready he called when they arrived and was on time for my 2 appointments. When Tao is not there in person his assistant Johnny is there to support and his courtesy and professionalism are also superb. I would recommend T&R Lighting hands down.
