Took my new Tesla Model Y Juniper to UP to get my car equiped with lowering springs since I couldnt not stand looking at the wheel gap of my car. Also had them put on my new brake caliper cover. They did an amazing job with the installation of the lowering springs and my caliper covers. Its been about a month now since the installation and wanted to get a feel for the springs and comfort before writing this review. Comfort has been great with the springs and the looks of it moderately lowered is much much better for the looks. Derek (owner) was very knowledgable and honest answering all my questions and concerns. He even didnt try to upsell me shocks when I was curious if I needed them to match the lowering springs.He recomended to keep it stock for normal driving use and told me it works well with the stock shocks so I kept it as is. I highly recommend doing all your tesla tuning here at unplugged performance. Unplugged Performance Fremont! My 2016 Model S was just a few weeks shy of its 9th birthday. Since I have my brake fluid changed every 3 years as a preventive measure and needed a few other things done, I took it in for service. I decided to try out Unplugged Performance in Fremont. They made a great impression at their recent event, and are conveniently located. This turned out to be a great decision! Derek and Bennett communicated better than any shop I have ever used before. They replaced the brake fluid as well as my front lower control arms, which had torn bushings and were responsible for the alignment being off and an imprecise feel of the steering. Then they perfectly aligned the car. Derek took plenty of time to answer all my questions before and after the work was done. I felt that my car was in very competent, caring hands. I could feel the difference immediately! Now the steering is as firm and precise as it was when my baby was young. What a joy it is again! Bought a tire from tire rack to replace a non repairable puncture. Called these guys the same day and they accommodated. Nice and clean shop, good communication, the work is good and they know what they're doing. I've had some mixed experiences at other tire shops. Suspension upgrades UP offers are a must for any model 3 owner, at least of those before the 2024 refresh. It's a much more pleasant ride, and it mostly feels like a 2024 Model 3's suspension. I went there recently and they aligned both my cars (model s plaid and model x plaid) after getting new tires. They did a custom spec alignment as my cars have after market adjustable control arms. They did it correct the first time with no issues. Now it drives straight, steering wheel is straight and now has proper specs for a long healthy tire life. Recently, brought in my Model Y initially to address some noises coming from the suspension, which was addressed and resolved. A few days later, I made another appointment to due for a persistent fault that shows up randomly when going over small bumps on the roads. The faults would disable the ABS system, traction control and regenerative braking. I spoke to Derek (owner) of Unplugged Performance of Fremont location and he explained in detail on what was going to be done to diagnose and hopefully resolve the issue. Shortly after it was determined that the culprit was a faulty ABS wheel sensor that was causing the multiple faults. A new ABS wheel sensor was replaced and installed, since then....the issue has been resolved. My experience with Derek and his tech was great and I left as a satisfied customer. I really feel that customer service is extremely important and unfortunately is lacking and almost nonexistent nowadays. Derek, Bennett, and their teams were fantastic! Although Unplugged Performance Fremont is well-known as a great Tesla shop, they responded to my inquiry bids on Yelp about a custom Ford Raptor-style grille for my F-150 Lightning. They were intrigued by the challenge and willing to experiment, so I decided to trust them with the job due to their strong reputation and excellent communication. I ordered an aftermarket grille and brought the parts in for an initial evaluation. We all hoped it would be fairly straightforward cosmetic work as long as the grille fit correctly. The most complicated part seemed to be cutting a hole cleanly in the grille for the truck's front camera and figuring out how to optimally mount it. I scheduled an appointment for 8:30am the following week and expected to have my truck back by noon, but the job ended up taking eight hours. This was NOT a negative, though! Most of the extra time was spent researching the Ford electrical system to ensure the LED lights on the new aftermarket grille worked seamlessly with the Lightning's stock front light bar since it wasn't as easy as we had originally thought. Ford's documentation and some online forums were lacking in guidance, and the few who had done similar work that we found in various Ford enthusiast forums took different approaches, so there wasn't a clear-cut solution. In the end, they nailed it!! The grille looks OEM-quality, and the camera cutout is exceptionally well-done. They stuck to the initial quote, even though it took much longer than anticipated, recognizing it was a learning experience for them too. I'm thoroughly impressed with their work and professionalism. As a Tesla owner as well, I won't hesitate to return for my future needs. I highly recommend Unplugged Performance Fremont! The guys at Unplugged are great! They were able to get me in for an install of the UP luxury coilovers. I had bought the coilovers used and they came with a different brand of camber arms but the UP team was more than willing to install them and got everything to spec afterwards. They dialed in the camber and alignment to help negate tire wear in the future and were also willing to help with diagnosis of any other concerns. Great group of guys and would highly recommend. Will see how the coilovers are long term but I could feel the difference right away. My 2022 MYP had insanely stiff suspension and this was the perfect solution. read more

I purchased the Luxury Pro coilovers and the UP-05 wheels in black for my MYP. I had some life left on my tires on my Uberturbines so they pulled them off and put them on my new wheels since i went with the same 21 inch wheels. They did the mounting and balancing on them as well. After they installed the coilovers, they did an alignment. The finished product was amazing! I'm so happy with my car now! MUST READ: from a customer. My story starts here. I ordered Unplugged rear sway bar for my model S. I had it shipped to my house and had it installed by a local mechanic. Let me tell you the sway bar worked amazing! But after sometime about a year, squeaks started to happen when going over speed bumps. I didn't know what was causing it. Was it the dreaded tesla control arm squeaks or was it the sway bar? Here lies the problem --- ME. I had it installed elsewhere. I should have use an unplugged authorized installer. MY FAULT My experience: So I called the unplugged rep and was referred to the Unplugged Performance shop in Fremont. I called and Derek (owner) answered, after a brief conversation, he asked me if I could come in on Monday. Absolutely I can Monday comes and I bring in my car. Bennett greets me at the door. By the way, super awesome employee. Respectful, courteous, and very informative. I relay to him Derek asked me to bring my car in. I meet Derek I remind him of our conversation and he remembers exactly my issue from our phone call. He asks to take the car on a test drive to hear the issue. Of course. Then comes in says "we can put it up on the rack right now and diagnose the problem" (By the way the shop is pristine condition with a lot of cool install stuff). When he finds the problem he tells me they can fix it right now. (Im shocked in a good way) In about an hour my car was back to non squeaking condition with a brand new swing arm replacement as it falls under warranty. I didnt even know about that. (even more shocked) What I learned: *If you buy an unplugged part or parts. Have them installed by an unplugged authorized dealer and don't try and cut costs bc you know someone who can. *Next, Both Bennett and Derek are amazing people. From the patience, the kindness, the expertise at which they work, and the final outcome of my car.
