We were told that the company was sold and we bought ours from the former company so the current owner is "not in a position to compensate us." It's still the same name and they will uphold the warranty but are taking no responsibility for what we have gone through. To any and all who have had windows installed by them just know they may not have installed them correctly. We never would have known had one not leaked. And we have no recourse now. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for replacement windows.

Originally we wanted black windows but after looking at the price we switched to white windows. Our sales guy David must not have changed the color of the exterior trim to match the white windows. When the windows were installed on July 22, 2025 and they put up black trim. That day I tell the people installing the windows that it's supposed to be white they say that's not what is on the contract and that they are just doing what they are told. We tell David, he promises that it will be fixed. 4 and half months later the trim is still not fixed. We waited to install our kitchen window because we wanted it bigger but didn't know how much work would go into that if the header needed to be changed or not. They estimated a price for that window but ended up not needing to change the header therefore not as much money as the estimate. So we are trying to order and schedule that to be done and the trim to be changed to white the same day. They are giving us the run around. They can't figure out the new estimate for one window but are still sending requests for more money. They offer to give us a discount to keep the black trim. When we decline that they are being vague when we ask about the trim being fixed. It is clear they are trying to get out of fixing their mistake. And abundantly clear they care nothing about client satisfaction, and everything about money. We talked to the manager today Trent who acted like he knew nothing about the situation when we have been told for months that it was David and him working this out for us. My husband, me and our 1 and half year old are currently living with my in laws during this renovation and paying a mortgage on a house we are not living in. The installation of this kitchen window and color change of the exterior trim( because I do not believe they will ever make it right if they don't do it the same day) is holding us up on moving in. We are just trying to move into this house and make it a home for our family. We have been nice, patient, and understanding but nothing is getting done. I wish I could say that at least the window are worth it but on further investigation the caulk is done very poorly. Also my in-laws were supposed to receive a gift card for referring us to Champion that also has not happened. Again they only care about money and not about making it right for the client. This unstall was completed in (5) weeks after the initial order with no flaws whatsoever. I was 100% satisfied with the LOWE'S installation team. I decided to have a front door and storm door installed on a new house just for the sake of having a Pella product in my new house. I made the mistake of using Pella of NC and it was absolutely the worst experience I have encountered in my 35 years of home ownership dealing with all sorts of businesses and contract services. My order consisted of an exterior door and a storm door. If not for the excellent installation by Jimmy, I would rate Pella at ZERO STARS if possible. It took nearly 7 months to finally get the door and proper hardware installed due to damaged product, several re-orders, and a no-show by Pella on a scheduled installation. Pella did offer a compensation of slightly less than 10%, but I feel I deserved more based on the following timeline: 12/9/24: Doors ordered 2/6/25: (1st install attempt) Door was severely damaged and had to be re-ordered 5/2/25: (2nd install attempts) Pella was a no show and did not contact me. (inexcusable) - Pella informed that my new door was "missing" and they would call me back when found - After a week they called and said they could not locate the door and had to re-order again 6/13/25: (3rd install attempt) Both doors are installed but there were no hardware/handles for the door - Hardware was re-ordered 7/7/25: Door hardware was installed Several Pella employees confided in me that Pella management can't keep up with small orders and that a recent influx of new employees was the cause of mismanagement and poor communication within Pella. Based on my experience, it is obvious that several key players on the Pella team have reached their level of incompetence. I would definitely consider other options based on the high number of one star reviews on Google, Yelp and the Better Business Bureau.
