Attended an event here after not going for over a decade. Place is definitely not the trendy Bowling spots, but an old school dated place that fits the bill. This was, without exaggeration, one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had anywhere. The service was a complete mess from the start--slow, disorganized, and staffed by people who clearly didn't care. We were left standing around waiting to be helped while employees ignored us, and when someone finally showed up, they acted like we were a burden for simply wanting to bowl. The manager was unbelievably awful. Rude, dismissive, and outright hostile. When our lane kept malfunctioning (which happened multiple times), we asked for help and got nothing but attitude. No apology, no urgency--just pure indifference and annoyance, like fixing their own broken equipment was too much to ask. And then there was the bar situation, which somehow made everything even worse. I'm 25 years old, and they made THREE different people come over and check my ID before I could get a drink. It was completely excessive and honestly embarrassing. I get checking ID, but this was ridiculous and felt like they were going out of their way to make it difficult. On top of all that, the place was poorly maintained, the lanes kept breaking down, and the whole environment just felt unwelcoming and chaotic. My husband booked our Wednesday night (6:30-8pm) open bowling online. I was a little worried when our arrival was a total surprise to the man at the desk. There was a huge league going on, but we saw the last 5-6 lanes were still open. They found our reservation and put us at the last lane, which I personally loved. They're a bit more expensive than Parkway Lanes, but much easier to get to and everyone was friendly here. We didn't try the food, but it looked great. At each lane, you have a table and a bunch of chairs. The set up is super old school, but it's well maintained and works great! The bathrooms have a lot of stalls and are clean. Bowling isn't easy to find nowadays, so I don't want to badmouth a place when the nearest alternative is miles away. * Plus: Not overwhelmed with flashing lights and loud music (ahem, Hanover) * Minus: Very hard to find - no signs from Paterson-Hamburg Tpk., or the access road in the mall, or on the building itself! * Plus: Friendly honest staff, were willing to let me pay per game instead of a flat hourly fee (which makes me feel rushed to maximize bowling in the hour). * Minus: The cost is way up there. $8/game (November 2023) and $6/shoes. Nothing else out here is that expensive. * Plus: Lanes available on a weeknight - 34 total lanes! The insides stretch for miles! Not taken up by a league, whereas the local ones are. * Minus: Good luck navigating your screen. It tracks your score, there are nice animations, but there is a confusing set of buttons in front of you and zero explanation how any of it works. I wanted to turn off the animations. Nope. I wanted to receive guidance on where to shift my feet and my aim in the event of a spare. Nope. Every other alley has that! * Plus: I didn't eat the food, but it looks way better there than other alleys. Fries were fresh and crisp. Sandwiches looked solid and well put together. * Minus: My lane had spotty oil - my ball would pivot sharply on the lane edges but barely curved at some spots in the middle. Came here with my church to bowl but honestly it was pretty dingy (not the best bowling place I've been) . The only reason why we came here was because it was close to church and they had a good deal for sundays. The shoes are pretty gross (glad I brought my own) and they definitely need new balls. Although I had a good time because of my group of friends, I don't see myself coming back. The lanes were all oiled differently as well... this place just really needs a big upgrade. read more

There was 6 of us, and this is/was the breakdown: Price Per Game: $6.50 Price Per Shoe Rental: $4.50. Total Per Person for first game: $11.00 ELEVEN DOLLARS TO BOWL ONE GAME??!!??!!! GTFOutta here! But the clerk did tell us that if we choose to bowl any additional game, it'll only be $6.50 per game. Lol.... I would hope to God so... So, it cost $66.00 for one game and shoe rental. If we chose to bowl another one, $39 for that game. So, two games of bowling would have put us North of a Benjamin... I don't know about you, but that's crazy. I know times have changed and all, but come on. $6.50 per game is Ludacris and $4.50 to rent shoes? I guess kids don't come bowl on Friday and Saturday nights anymore because how can a teenager afford that? Unless they were born with a silver spoon in their mouths, the are finding other things to do... So, would I recommend this place for a family fun night out? Oh Hell's NO! Unless you have a couple extra hunnies lying around burning a hole in your pocket, then you go and bowl!!!! I find this very sad. Bowling is something everyone in your family can enjoy.. Just wish it was more affordable to actually "Enjoy" it. You bowl a couple games, get a couple drinks and snacks, you're looking at a $200.00+ night. Also, the music they were playing, if you want to even call it music, was awful.. I will end my review on a good note, however.. The Bowling Alley was pretty clean and looked will kept... Today my family and I went to T Bowl. During our second game, the game suddenly stopped. So we went up to the front to ask them what happened and if they could fix it. Instead of meeting someone agreeable, the owner was incredibly rude to us. It was a mistake on the part of the cashier who was very friendly and respectable, but the owner was belligerent and accused us of being wrong. Then he proceeded to stand on the floor and shit-talk about us as customers. I've never experienced a more inappropriate and unprofessional response to a customer interaction. You should know better as an owner of a business to treat your customers in that manner. After spending lots of money on two games and a large amount of food, we deserved to be at least treated with a modicum of respect. You have lost all of our business and that's 8 people by the way. I plan on spreading the word about your unprofessional business practices. I hope you lose all of your business and you guys shut down. It's just as easy for us to go to Boonton Lanes so consider us gone. read more

I forgot my mask, so i came up to front desk with my hood over my face, so i can pay and go to my lane. The owner (not wearing a mask) asks me if I have a mask, and when i say no he insists that I must buy one, meanwhile he is not wearing a mask himself. I asked him why I have to buy one if he's not wearing one, and he asked me if I'm trying to start an argument. I've been here many times. Usually it's a good experience for the most part, but tonight got me angry. I was bowling and it was ok. The lanes are always a little off, meaning that wax finished isn't completely even (not a big deal). I paid upfront for the lane during the special of $10 for 9-12 to play. Great deal and I go frequently to it. Usually I get beer and food but tonight I just wanted some ice water. The lady told me I couldn't get tap water and had to use the fountain or buy a bottle. I've never had a problem before. Well it was towards the end of the night and I was mid-game with my sister. The lanes shut off and if wasn't midnight yet! Not happy. I paid in advance to play until midnight. I asked why and the man just stated that the clocks are different, ahead here sorry. Next time it won't happen. I was offered nothing for this. read more

Okay, I liked this place but it definitely needs work. First off, better quality control!! The lanes are constantly breaking down out of no where & even after being fixed it breaks down again. Second, the system here is very hectic. Am I supposed to pay, then get my shoes, and ask for a bowling ball? Or do I get my shoes first? Or do I get my bowling ball from random places? All these questions!!!!!!!!!! It was pretty packed on a ... Thursday night I think? Lanes were all filled! Also, maybe it is not the case all the time but on this night there was music playing! I would go as far as to accuse them of age discrimination because of they're inconsistent treatment (nice to adults, nasty to people 25 and under). They are in desperate need of a professional bartender. He asked us to pay a $118 Bar bill without showing us a receipt. When I questioned him he caused a fuss n was mumbling rude comments under his breathe, meanwhile he was too focused on the baseball game to serve us anyway. The manager ended up taking $12 off. In reality, even at peak prices we shouldn't have been charged $118 for 4 shots, 1 vodka mix, a pizza and 2 drafts. No way it should have been more than $60. I was nice enough to leave him a tip n he snatched it off bar, I said u should thank me for tipping u, n he continued to mumble more insults under his breathe. I will go to Oakland to bowl from now on, along with everyone else I tell this unfortunate tale to..---they know how to run an alley. The staff at Tbowl is clueless and their service was piss-poor. This is a modern bowling alley. It is clean and well lit, but their prices are high.

Overall our experience here was great! I do recommend going using a Groupon as we did. It was very easy to use and at a good price 5 people with shoes one lane for an hour and a half with food as well! Our experience was great and the person at the front desk was very considerate and gave us a lane with no one next to us being that we had 7 people playing. I wish yelp offered a 0 start rating because they deserve it. They are rude and gross. The the "chef" was eating while making food for customers, licking her hands and then plated my sons food. There's no bartender. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. And the front desk people are very ignorant. Ones name is nikki, she is the most rudest person you'll ever meet. She calls herself a manager, but her attitude is not manager material. You're supposed to bring customers in by being nice. Not rolling your eyes and giving a bad attitude to people who are being mean. No wonder the place was empty when we went today. No one likes the service, or people that work there. This review covers several things: 1) the bowling experience and 2) having a kids party here. 1) Bowling: We've been bowling here several times. For bowling we had a pretty good experience. They were helpful when we needed help. The food was so salty that I literally could not eat my food. I felt terrible feeding it to my child. The games are ok, some let you "play till you win" which is great. But they are very expensive to play. 2) Party: I wanted to add a few notes here for those potentially looking to hold a kiddie party here. First thing is that I tried to use their website to book a party and no one ever got back to me. I had to call to get a hold of someone who basically told me that I had to come in person to leave a $50 deposit to do anything. I don't understand why bother having an online form if they require a deposit. But anyway... When you first review the T-bowl II website, its not immediately apparent that they essentially nickle and dime you. This becomes more apparent only after you've made a deposit and signed a contract. The initial price for a party of 10 children is $225. Again, this seems reasonable at the onset. Their website claims "All you need to do is invite the guests--we take it from there!". But what they do *not* tell you on the website is that the kids in your party are only allowed 1 slice of pizza. If you want more you need to pay $14 for each additional pie. AND, this doesn't include food for adults. So, if you want your adult chapperone's to eat, that could be upwards of an additional $60! In addition, Their site says "Unlimited soft drinks for each party guest". But what that really means is that you get to pick TWO drinks from a list of 10 - of which, that list includes WATER. So if you pick fruit punch and lemonade... guess what... your kids can't have water! That'll be extra. Same goes for adults... you get to pick TWO drinks from a list of 12 - again, where water is one of these choices. Really? Isn't tap water free? That seems ridiculous that they would even list water as one of your options. Its important to note here that outside food is *absolutely restricted*. You cannot even bring your own cake. They have all their own food vendors. That's not so terrible BUT their website says that they provide "Birthday cake from local bakery & candles". What it does NOT say (you find out when you go to sign the contract/put down a deposit) is that the cake is only for the children. If you want more cake for the adults, you have to pay more for a larger cake. They also have an "adult menu" but that needs to be ordered well in advance, so if you want your adult guests to eat something besides pizza, be aware. If you want balloons, you need to bring those. Lastly, they do provide their own goodie bags (which have candy in them). The goodie bags have coupons for the games, but they state "Coupons are not to be used the day of the party". It's a little sad because my child will want to use those right away. Its my feeling that we shouldn't have to pretend like you will drum up more business by having us come back "another time" just to use those game coupons. Just let people use them there and then. Overall, its a decent bowling alley. But there are some things you may want to look deeper into or plan ahead if you are coming here with small children. read more

We came here for kids free bowling. Place was clean and staff seems good. Only thing keeping me from 5 stars is the they didn't have enough ramps for kids and we had to share with another lane. For having 34 lanes you would think they have more than two ramps. Overall we would come back. read more

I came in with my boyfriend at 11:40 and the place was dead. We are in the hospitality industry and I made sure with both the man working the counter and the woman at the drink station that we were not keeping them. I've been going to T bowl for a while now & I never had a problem until this past visit there! About a week ago I went bowling there with my boyfriend & we ended up playing pool after. In order to play pool there you have to give in your ID, he did & we played. About a week later we went back to go bowling. It was after this trip there that my boyfriend realized that he didn't have his ID. We called T bowl to see if it was there & the guy in the phone was quick to say no & was no help. So we decided to go there in person to see for ourselves. We asked at the bar & the girls at the bar checked & what would you know it was there!! They said it was there a while. When we asked why didn't anyone call to let him know it was there they laughed it off like it was no big deal. They said they didn't know if it was fake or not.. They didn't seem to care.. You would think if someone left their ID there that a worker would call that person to let them know! read more
