Very affordable and the drink was so delicious. The woman working here is the sweetest! I asked about the mango passion drink and she described the ingredients then started recommending a lot of related drinks. The service is a 10/10!

I love that they brew their tea from leaf rather than using a powder. All their teas are dairy free with the exception of the Thai tea, which they use half and half because it's strong. The owner is super friendly, and personable! This is def a business we want to have in Modesto, so make sure you support small business! If you're looking for dairy free milk tea options, this is your place!

Originally wanted calamari but that was part of a older menu and now they don't have it, so I thought I'd post a more updated one. Milk teas and boba were good, the popcorn chicken tasted good but would've been better if it was crunchier, and the fries tasted old and reheated. Service was great, very friendly, and got everything really fast. Still a solid spot if you're craving boba and snacks especially for downtown Modesto.

I had this random craving for Milk Tea with boba and popcorn chicken, and so being that we were driving through Modesto- I searched Yelp for the most rated and highest star reviewed spot... T-Cups Cafe is located in the heart of Downtown Modesto, adjacent to the Brennen Theaters, neighboring Jamba Juice. Upon walking in, I had to question if they were open or not because the interior looked dark, there wasn't a sign stating "open" plus it didn't look like anyone was inside. I walk in and immediately you're welcomed with a sweet sugary smell, it made me smile, lol. The only lady working the behind the counter greeted me and then continued to work. T-Cup is spacious with a chill spot area that consists of couches and tables throughout. There was a slight eerie vibe tho, cuz it was too quiet between the sounds of frying and blending every now and then. The nice lady took my order which consisted of Black Milk Tea w/ Boba ($2.95) and T-pop Chicken ($5.45). I waiting about 10 minutes then received my order. I had asked for no ice, but she still put ice in it. Oh well, this wasn't a deal breaker for me, but my milk tea had a weird after taste. I still prefer Tapioca Express's Milk Tea. For the T-Pop chicken, these were MEH-ok. They didn't have much of a flavor to them, and since they are basically fried pieces of chicken- you control how spicy since the spicy cayenne power is found to the side with the other condiments. I wished that the chicken was cooked/ fried with basil and the cayenne pepper already. This would add so much more flavor, again I prefer TapEx's chicken.

I had a mighty craving for some melon tea with pudding and I managed to find this place. The owner(?) at the front was very friendly and funny as she took my order and made my drink. I got the biggest size of honeydew milk tea with both milk pudding and their egg pudding. I was in a super sweet fruity drink kind of mood and this was just what I was looking for, just sweet enough and not too artificial-tasting. I'll be sure to come back whenever the hankering returns again

I've been really contemplating what rating to give this establishment. Let me simply just tell you the pro's and con's of this place maybe it'll be more simpler to explain. Pro's: - The ice cream is delicious - calamari is bomb.com - Fries are yummy - FUNNEL CAKE IS THE BESSSSSSSSSTTT I've ever had - Fair prices - Quick to get your order out So, all in all the desserts and most of it's food is pretty good. Con's: - WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE that I rather wished a robot took my order instead. So bad that it was awkward. - The boba tea here makes my stomach hurt, Everytime! Not just mine but my sisters too. - They're closed on sundays- What the actual fudge???? Overall, don't get their boba tea and if you don't care about customer service then this establishment wont bother you.

We were in the area. My son goes here for lunch from time to time. We came in and the owner was very friendly. Took our order of drinks and a popcorn chicken. It took us 5 minutes of waiting- that's fast! Drink was good. Boba needs to add a bit of honey of flavor it up. I would come back here for my drinks and will try out their food menu. I like their pearl tea so far. The avocado smoothie was good, but I prefer the strawberry. You can adjust the sweetness of your smoothie to your liking. It makes me happy that after they seal the cup with plastic on top, they take the time to thoroughly shake your cup so that the pearls/boba are more evenly distributed throughout the smoothie. The fried chicken was alright. The cold cuts sandwich was also okay. The meats they put in their version of the sandwich are not my favorite. I'm excited to try their fried desserts. I'll have to wait until next time. It's super close to Brenden Theaters downtown so I'll consider stopping here before a movie. The employees here are friendly. They have a stamp card where you can earn a free drink, so get one if you plan on returning.

I was surprised to find a place in Modesto that serves pandan waffles (coconut waffle on the menu); it's hard enough to find them here in the Bay Area! Looking for a dessert after heavy eating and some drinking, nothing like my favorite hong kong snacks to call it a night. Stopped by T-cups to order just that. Easy to find and great that they're opened until midnight! The menu was extremely extensive from fried snacks to drinks or just about anything you can think of! I skipped the drinks and ordered the coconut waffle (2.95) and the fried fish balls. Fishballs came first and they were exactly what I imagined. A little bit of salt and pepper and nicely fried. The waffle came next, it was fluffy and thick- I expected a lot less, but it was impressive in size and price! Great little piece of home away from home. Great place to hang out for snacks and desserts if you're craving boba or even for a easy quick dinner. They have combo meals and crepes! Just all their prices are more than beyond reasonable and it's made to order. So it's above your typical Quicklys. Nothing better than support your local business. Oh did I mention that they take card too?

Omg!!! This place is sooo good. I had a bubble milk tea for the first time and I am addicted! Also, ordered for my family and myself the t-pop chicken meal, t-pop tofu and a funnel cake!! Everything was really delicious. I will definitely come back, not only for the food and drinks, but because they also have great customer service! I always wanted to try this place.I had gone to take my son to get his haircut at Trevino's on the same street and decided to stop and grab lunch with him after his haircut.So glad I did.It was fast and friendly service.I was greeted by a woman with such a genuine smile and hello.She welcomed me since I told her it was my first time.The man was also very kind.Its a clean,and quiet place.They have games and toys as well.That was a plus because my toddler tends to get a little antsy.I highly recommend this place! read more

Joe and Lucia are the nicest people you could meet. We love their chicken salad with jasmine milk tea. Lunch or dinner this is the best place to grab a bite downtown and at a very reasonable price compared to the high end restaurants that surround them. I've been coming here recently and this place is nice but can use a little bit of dusting. The most likable drink for me and my friends is the Taro Milk tea (the purple one), I have tried the passion fruit one but has a weird aftertaste. Other than that they have good fries and I will be coming more often. The owners are also really nice and the service is great. read more

Not the best milk teas/ boba . But delicious pop-chicken. Calamari was disappointing strong fishy taste. Cool atmosphere especially if you're into night life and good location next to the theater. Also have a lot of board games and stuff to play. Not a lot of seating, hard to park. Pretty big menu read more

The season fries are the best ever!!!! Just that alone should be it but everything is sooo good I love the green apple slushy! The teas are amazing. The boba spectacular. best place to hang out ive gotten the thai tea with boba inside, it is quite delicious also the banana crepe, so good with the chocolate inside and the ice cream on top with whipped cream i always come here with my best friend when we go to movies or just nearby the people here are nice and patient i havent had any problems its nearby the parking lot too close the buss station, okay basically its at a location where there is a lot of business so its very convenient read more

I really like the location of this cafe. It's right next to the theater and other food places. The inside is really cute and cozy. They even have TV for you to watch and games like Jenga you can play. THIS PLACE ALSO HAS WIFI! I really appreciated the good customer service. They have a lot of milk tea options, snack and dessert options like crepes... I got the coconut milk tea with aloe and it was really good. However my friend got the taro milk tea and it tasted watered down...the T Pop chicken and calamari were delicious though. I will definitely come back again. read more

I really wanted to like this place - friendly, mom & pop, and serving unique food. Unfortunately it did not live up to my hopes. I ordered the Vietnamese beef sandwich, while the slaw was good the beef was overcooked to a criminal extent. This made for a dry and someone bland sandwich. I think if they moved to cooking the meat to order and added more sauce to the slaw it would be good but as is it was sub-par. read more

So where do I start....? The excellent service, amazing food, and the bubble teas you can only settle for imitations of elsewhere in town are, in my experience Only the tip of the iceberg. The inviting atmosphere seems so streamlined you wouldn't be surprised if it was the work of some nationwide super chain, for real... Very spacious, simple and strong, and uber practical with couches, chairs, stools, etc... It's as though you can walk in there with one idea of what you're there for, a quick drink or a bite to eat... And find a new friend, get lost and end up on a completely different page - in the same book of awesome that is T-Cups. Any and every person that walks in will see that, but what you may not see Hopefully you will never NEED to count on Is the unflinching character and integrity that their ownership and staff posses. I rushed out after one of my regular milk tea adventures and LEFT AN IPAD mini2 in the bathroom. The same iPad I'm writing this review from.... Mind you, that was weeks ago, and I've been meaning to write this review for a while... Let the fact that their reputation superceeds even my procrastination hahaha I can't think of a better review to give a joint, that not only will you be transported to a world of amazing food and fun - but if you forget your stuff, you got an above average chance to get it back hahaha See ya there read more

I ordered the vietnamese cold cuts sandwich, taro bubble milk tea, popcorn chicken, and their fries. The vietnamese cold cuts and fries were really good & a good portion. The taro bubble milk tea tasted watered down and wasnt as sweet as what i expected it to be. Their popcorn chicken was good at first but as I was eating them making my way to the bottom, they started to lose their flavor... so it seemed like to me they made the popcorn chicken plain, threw them in the box and only seasoned the top portion.. but other than that i really enjoyed the atmosphere and the fact that there's another good boba place in town. read more

A decent boba place in Modesto. Moving to Central Valley from the Bay Area, I found there was a lack of asian cuisine in Modesto. Compared to other boba places in Modesto, this place has a nice variety of flavors (Thai, Taro, Strawberry, Mango, etc) as well as "add-ons" (regular/small pearls, lychee, fruit) as well as little meals (chicken, seafood balls) for an inexpensive price. I think the location is perfect for its ambiance. Staff were very friendly as well. Dont forget to pick up a stamp card :) Next time i definetly try the crepes! read more

So I bookmarked this place awhile ago and someone asked me where they should get food to bring for me for dinner. YES! I get to try it. I ordered the combo with a Grilled Chicken sandwich with egg rolls and a white peach milk tea. My Mama ordered the Popcorn Chicken crepe. The sandwich was bomb till I got to the hot pepper. YAWOOO! Had to take that baby out. It was so good. I tried my Mom's popcorn chicken crepe and it was different with the sweetness of the crepe but it was so yummy. I liked it with the corn in it. Really cool. She had the milk tea thai tea and it was really delish too. I wasn't into the egg rolls, they were full of veggies but it lacked flavor. We also got a side of sweet potato fries and they were really good. My Mom said she would come here again but get a different kind of crepe she said it was hard to eat because the chicken kept coming out because the crepe is so thin. But she enjoyed it. I'll be back for sure to try some of their desserts and some more flavors of Boba. read more

WORST TARO SMOOTHIE EVER!!! Taro has always been my favorite flavor when it comes to milk tea and smoothies so I always get it every time I'm near a boba place. So after a long day of running around town doing errands, I thought that I'd give myself a treat. My favorite boba place was already close at that time so I decided to go to the next best place and came here instead. I came here the other night to get a taro smoothie with pearls to satisfy my carvings knowing that I've already complained to them before that the taro smoothie is bland, but I was hopeful thinking that they have improved the drink. I was excited to drink my smoothie but it was such a disappointment when I finally tasted it. It was super bland with only a faint taro flavor and very grainy with a few chunks of what seems to be taro. Normally I don't really mind it if the drink was only so-so but what they gave me is something that I couldn't stomach to drink. I then told the girl that was working there at that time that my drink was SUPER bland and that it was SUPER grainy asking if they could fix it for me. She then told me that the drink is exactly how it was suppose to be made and she didn't even offer to change it or replace it with something else but offer me packets of sugars to make my drink sweeter. That right there is an indication for me to not come here for a very long while until they manage to salvage that so-called taro smoothie/milk tea. I been drinking taro flavored drinks ever since I was a kid let alone taro smoothies; SERIOUSLY, THAT'S NOT TARO!!! read more

I'm from San José and was in town visiting for the holiday weekend and was having Vietnamese coffee withdrawals. Unfortunately, unlike San José there isn't a Vietnamese coffee shop at every corner and this place doesn't offer Vietnamese coffee. So I went with my other fave, honey milk tea. The place is nice, clean and the service is great. I was greeted as soon as I came in and the workers helped my nephew with choosing a drink. I will be returning next time in in town. read more

I had the banh might (Vietnamese sandwich), a smoothie, egg rolls and calamari. Over all it was good! The smoothies are fantastic!!! Egg rolls very good! The calamari missed the target, tasted freezer burnt and over cooked... The sandwich, the reason I went, was fresh and tasty but just on dry side. Overall I could see some hit and miss and I plan on returning soon to find more hits that I know are there! Service was fantastic!!! read more

This is by far my favorite little cafe. It's themed very cute and s great hangout for all ages. I'm obsessed with their strawberry crepes. I get chocolate sauce and finally ice cream on top and it's bliss! I love that I can sit there eating this delicious crepe while watching a funny tv show like family feud! I also get their berry smoothie which I find very refreshing. I'm too picky to try out their boba tea but when I see others order it they look great and customers enjoy them! This is a great addition to downtown. read more

Rude service, average food. Came here craving a crepe so I ordered that and an Italian soda (which was pretty good) and I waited a whole 30 minutes crepeless while other people were getting their orders. So I went up and asked how my crepe was doing and the lady said "I'm getting to it, I've been busy." Except there was nobody in there when we ordered so what has she been doing the whole time. read more

There were limited quantities of each so I'm not sure if they have more things on the weekends, which would totally make sense for a local small business on a random Tuesday. Parking is easy once you find it and although the inside is very small there are a few chairs and cafe tables perfect for a duo. Nonetheless, we left with a good haul and got one of almost everything: Red velvet slice, Carrot cake slice, Chocolate Mousse slice, Chocolate brownie, and Lemon bar. They also had a sheet cake, a small pack of cupcakes and cake pops in a separate case, so I wasn't sure if those were preorders or display or available for purchase. Here's what I loved: THE BROWNIE. One of the best I've ever had! The lemon bar was also delicious, super tart and perfectly baked. I'd get either of those again! Customer service was very friendly, prices were clearly displayed and fair, and the portions were good sizes. Here's what I just liked: The cake part of the red velvet, mousse, and carrot cake was a bit dry. They were beautifully decorated, the frosting and fillings were great, but the cake itself just wasn't as soft and moist as I was hoping. Another Yelper mentioned sticking the cake in the microwave and I wish I would have tried that. Definitely a small business worth supporting!

Upon entering, I was struck by three things, how friendly the worker was, how hard the door was to open (I do have mobility issues on occasion), and how little there was on display to choose from. Still, I found a couple of nice items (red velvet and some serious chocolate cake) my wife loved the chocolate but we found the red velvet to be quite dry and hard. I suspect that it had been in the case far too long. Fortunately the chocolate was so good, my wife said that it more than made up for it. Overall, the ambiance was simple bakery, nice folks, serving well. I suspect where these nice folks shine is in pre-orders (which makes TOTAL sense, as foot traffic, particularly in this bakery's location would be a tough sell indeed). I suspect that we will be keeping Dessert European Cakes and Pastries in mind for our upcoming bakery needs.

I liked the food . The owners are very friendly. The prices were ok. The funnel cakes will pass , I have had better. The egg rolls were very brown so, must be frozen. The area where the cooking was done appeared to be clean but, when I saw the fan on the floor, the vents and walls, I choked on my food. It is filthy in there. If the health department came in there, they would shut it down. I was apprehensive the whole time that something would fly in my food and my friend wanted to leave her food and just go. Best Boba drinks in the area. I place T-Cups higher than T4. The mango milk tea with pearls is my favorite drink. The drinks here are so good that it can compete with other drinks in the Bay Area.
