Nice environment. Just had drinks but would love to go back for food. Good vibe, nice prices and friendly staff.

I am blown away that this tavern has so few stars! May be because it's in a college town and not happy partying students. But I will tell you, this place is awesome! I have been looking for a real burger with flavor since 2020. Haven't found one until this place. And I'll tell you, TD's is THE PLACE for a great tasting burger with all the flavor burgers used to have. Great bar service, clean as all, even the bathrooms, beautiful establishment with all natural and original wood and brick. So darned cool! Along with the burgers, which come with chips, Ruffles chips even, you can sub for an up charge. But we we totally satisfied with the Ruffles. Good cold beer too. Great location, right across the street from the campus grounds. Just loved this place! Goes to say, when I'm in the area again this will be the place I go for a burger...and the wings across the bar looked super great too along with a very decent price considering.

7-23-18 I ordered the sampler appetizer as my meal, so good and so much food I couldn't finish. My husband got the turkey melt add mayo and tomatoes it was good and he loves the tots. Said it wasn't a ton of food, but he ate the two wings that came w mine. My sister got the chicken finger app as her meal and liked it, they have great condiments which is always a huge bonus. We got the nachos appetizer, it comes with chill cheese and jalapeños, we left the jalapeños off, they were good, my husband liked the chili cause it doesn't have onions. I thought they were ok wish it was actual melted nacho cheese instead of shredded cheese. On Saturday's the wings are just 65 cents, so he got 12 wings for $7.80 well def come back for the wings, and the shock top only $3.50 a pint. I got the gyro wrap it was eh, I wouldn't order

TDs is a staple when visiting Clemson. It is like the Waffle House of tailgating. You don't visit TDs expecting five star cuisine. You go expecting a good time, beers with friends and walking down memory lane. That's exactly what we did... I had the turkey wrap which had as much ranch dressing as turkey. Hubby had the chicken philly which had chunks of chicken. Kiddos had a burger and fries. There isn't much to say about the food...but it is just fine with a cold beverage. A basket of fries is $6.99 which is absolutely insane. That's what we would expect to pay in Atlanta, but not Clemson. However the sour cream and chive fries are delish. Not $6.99 good but good. ;) We love telling our boys how I met my husband at TDs when he worked there and all our shenanigans. We've always had great service and heck, the beer is cold and readily served.

What might this liquor be? Seriously? Duct tape?

John Taffer, please come and rescue this place. First off, I'm all for a dive bar, a shot centric college town bar. I don't think I have ever left a 1 star rating, it's not something I do for the fun of it. But I would have appreciated a review describing this place, so here goes. We came in on a Friday afternoon, not crowded, sat at back side of the bar. Friendly enough bartenders, ok beer selection, decent prices. Got our beer and as we are looking behind the bar area, we were shocked at the level of filth. It's one thing to be outdated, older. It's quite another to be just plain dirty. You can tell that cleaning isn't a priority. How does the health dept not violate this business? If the bar area was that bad, I cannot imagine the kitchen. Which was exactly the words said by the folks leaving in front of us. Trashcans over flowing, the floors with food and debris. Needless to say, would never step foot inside again. I really hope management makes changes and cleans it up.

We got the Mediterranean Salad, Wings, Fries TD's Paw Punch and Beer.

Our group of 8 was seated right inside the entrance of the restaurant and my back was to the lake side view. Therefore, I can only say I experienced a typical hotel bar restaurant vibe. Our server did a good job-even taking a minute to take a group photo for us. The brunch menu had a variety of choices. I chose the Renfrow Wings off of the Shareables Menu and a side salad. This consisted of 13 chicken wings so I had plenty of left overs. I ordered 1/2 teriyaki and 1/2 bbq. It was hard to distinguish between the two, but they were good. I need to go back and give this restaurant another try. This time I'll make sure to enjoy the view, maybe even sit outside on the patio if it's cool enough. I know this sounds strange, but I'm giving them a 4 star in anticipation of that lake view...

First hint should have been the tables - several high tops still dirty and not wiped down. The ducks are cute, but to have to avoid stepping in duck sh** to get into the place, well not our thang.... Anyway we decided to give it a go and ordered some fried mushrooms, 2 orders of the double burger special, and a couple of sodas. Waited, and waited.....and waited. In the meantime the servers were busy showcasing their twerking capabilities to each other at the counter where they pick up orders. OKaaaaay. How about wiping down a few tables? So our order arrives - rather partial order. Only 1 of the double burger special arrived, and the "order of fried mushrooms" contained 9 mushrooms total, and these were not large by any stretch. For $10.75?? Good grief. We decided to split the one order of the burger special as we had waited close to 35 minutes already. To be fair, the burger was good, the fries that came with it were sparse but good. The mushrooms - meh. Oh and at the plastic cutlery dispenser station - out of forks and knives. That twerking practice must be oh so important.... The live entertainment was good though - just one guy who knew a lot of songs, and was doing his absolute best to play some requests. Entertaining, great sense of humor and sounded good - kudos to him. Net net, not interested in a return visit - certainly didn't expect a 5* or even a 4*, but this place had too many things just not up to par.

Unfortunately Rick Erwin's missed the mark on its primary assignment. The restaurant is nicely decorated in the style of a steakhouse. Dark wood paneling and shutters adorn the walls with pleasant dim lighting shining down from above. Service was strong with a team serving our table. We were greeted immediately and offered water and a drink. However, we were not offered bread, which is unusual for a steakhouse. Our appetizer of Buffalo Cauliflower was just ok. The breading had a subtle after-taste, which may have been from the batter being undercooked. And the buffalo sauce was not very prominent. So the dish was not as strong as I would have wanted. For our main course, we ordered the porterhouse for two--the signature dish at any steakhouse. Unfortunately, it fell short. When the steak arrived, it lacked the expected presentation; it had been grilled rather than broiled and was served without the usual butter or sizzling finish. That missing sizzle wasn't just visual--it showed in the flavor. A proper porterhouse should have a rich, salty, buttery finish, but this one was surprisingly bland. Just as disappointing, instead of being presented as the centerpiece of the table, the steak was served on a plate that we were apparently expected to eat directly from. It felt odd and took away from what should have been a standout experience. Overall, this was a below average experience for a steakhouse. We will try it again down the road since the choices near Clemson are limited. But Rick Erwin's should really revisit what it is trying to be and then decide how to be that.
