T.D.'s just screams college town when you enter--long bar, wing specials, well worn floors, and the occasional whiff of stale beer. The menu offerings also reflect their typical patrons, focused on solid American fare. Some have a go to when they try a new restaurant; mine is a reuben. TD's reuben didn't disappoint and the fires + honey mustard sauce for dipping were just what I wanted. As a self proclaimed 'wing aficionado', I will absolutely stop by again to give these a try. Maybe on 'all you can eat wing' Monday ($18)? Once I do, will definitely update this review! Besides the location and possibly having out of town visitors stop in that don't know better, I don't know how this place stays in business. The table and writing on the walls surrounding the table was gross. Service was terrible. Ny daughter ordered a Diet Coke, and I ordered a high noon which should take no time to grab from the bar. Yet 15 minutes later with an empty Diet Coke and no high noon and after asking the host for our server to bring a refill and my beverage because we saw her in the kitchen in her phone texting, it finally came out 5 minutes later. We were beyond ready to order and she said she'd be back to take our order. Several minutes went by. When she did arrive back, I ordered a Philly with fries and the waitress asked if I'd like ranch with my fries. I said yes. It came out with no ranch. My daughter ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich with ranch and a side Caesar. It also came out with no ranch. We requested the 2 ranch. It came. Along with a silverware roll which had not been provided yet. Server dipped away again and so I once again had to go to host stand and ask for a silverware roll that included a fork, only a knife was in mine. What do you know, the waitress was sitting at the front booth on her phone texting again. She gave me my silverware roll. The food was pretty good. She didn't check on us until it was time for us to pay and I had my card out and ready. She took my card without bringing me the bill. On the bill and credit card receipt I was charged for 3 ranch at .75 each. Flagged down another server who got my server and she didn't understand what my complaint was about the charge. My 15 year old explained it to her. So she responded, "oh you need 75 cents?" And I said "uh, yes, that's correct." Waited several more minutes for her to remedy this and finally I got up to leave. My $5 tip was beyond generous considering the shitty service. Management/ owners needs to step it up and handle the front end. This waitress won't go far in life if this is her best work. Came here for lunch and got seated in a booth. The server was nice and she got our orders in and out at the same time. But this menu was sad: a one-pager filled with the simplest, easy-to-make food, like cheese steak or chicken quesadillas. I honestly was in the mood for a salad that day, but the three salads on the menu all were stuffed with chicken plus bacon plus cheddar cheese. Where were the veggies? So I ended up getting the burger on my friend's suggestion. The one positive I can say is that I believe they make their own patties, because they did not look like frozen patties from a box. However, the burger didn't have any flavor and it was greasy: my tray had more grease on the wax paper on the side the burger was sitting on than the side the fries were sitting on. I suspect they butter their buns. That would be fine if there was any flavor to enhance, but this burger just had no flavor. I'm looking at their website now and their menu online has way more options available, many of which look more appealing, like gyros . I don't know why we were given such a pared down menu. Maybe because it was Saturday and all the students were in there at noon getting really drunk? I don't know why my Clemson friend raved about this place. It's completely forgettable. read more

I am blown away that this tavern has so few stars! May be because it's in a college town and not happy partying students. But I will tell you, this place is awesome! I have been looking for a real burger with flavor since 2020. Haven't found one until this place. And I'll tell you, TD's is THE PLACE for a great tasting burger with all the flavor burgers used to have. Great bar service, clean as all, even the bathrooms, beautiful establishment with all natural and original wood and brick. So darned cool! Along with the burgers, which come with chips, Ruffles chips even, you can sub for an up charge. But we we totally satisfied with the Ruffles. Good cold beer too. Great location, right across the street from the campus grounds. Just loved this place! Said it wasn't a ton of food, but he ate the two wings that came w mine. My sister got the chicken finger app as her meal and liked it, they have great condiments which is always a huge bonus. We got the nachos appetizer, it comes with chill cheese and jalapeños, we left the jalapeños off, they were good, my husband liked the chili cause it doesn't have onions. TDs is a staple when visiting Clemson. It is like the Waffle House of tailgating. You don't visit TDs expecting five star cuisine. You go expecting a good time, beers with friends and walking down memory lane. That's exactly what we did... I had the turkey wrap which had as much ranch dressing as turkey. Hubby had the chicken philly which had chunks of chicken. Kiddos had a burger and fries. There isn't much to say about the food...but it is just fine with a cold beverage. A basket of fries is $6.99 which is absolutely insane. That's what we would expect to pay in Atlanta, but not Clemson. However the sour cream and chive fries are delish. Not $6.99 good but good. ;) We love telling our boys how I met my husband at TDs when he worked there and all our shenanigans. John Taffer, please come and rescue this place. First off, I'm all for a dive bar, a shot centric college town bar. I don't think I have ever left a 1 star rating, it's not something I do for the fun of it. But I would have appreciated a review describing this place, so here goes. We came in on a Friday afternoon, not crowded, sat at back side of the bar. Friendly enough bartenders, ok beer selection, decent prices. Got our beer and as we are looking behind the bar area, we were shocked at the level of filth. It's one thing to be outdated, older. It's quite another to be just plain dirty. You can tell that cleaning isn't a priority. How does the health dept not violate this business? If the bar area was that bad, I cannot imagine the kitchen. Which was exactly the words said by the folks leaving in front of us. Trashcans over flowing, the floors with food and debris. Needless to say, would never step foot inside again. I tried to leave TDS and accidentally we go to the wrong area. A student with a few piercings grabbed me and started yelling at me about where I was trying to leave. I have been there multiple times and honestly thought I was leaving the correct exit. instead I got grabbed and yelled at. I left the front door but management didn't care about what just happened. the workers are very strict about there rules and if you're not a regular I wouldn't recommend. read more

Everyone was very nice and the setting is perfect for watching any sporting events. The Parmesan Garlic Wings were my favorite. If you like your sauce hot/hot then go for the hottest on the menu. Came here for the all you can eat wings. The wings were kind of soggy, the flavors were a bit off (do not get teriyaki or the BBQ these flavors are subpar). The waitress was rude and insisted there was no beer menu when the last time I came here we received one. When we asked her what beers they had she said "a sh*t ton". When we tried to get our checks she spent 15 mins talking to other staff so we had to go to the bar in order to get our checks so we could leave. For the price, the all you can eat wings ($11.95+tax) isn't bad (as long as you eat more than 12 wings) but the flavors, quality, and service was mediocre at best so you have to factor that in to the price as well. Okay so this quarantine has me thinking about companies going out of business and I'll honestly be upset if TDs DOESNT go out of business in this crisis. Do NOT get the hot wings. Quite possibly the worst hot wings I have ever had. There was not the slightest bit of heat on them whatsoever. I could've eaten the entire order without needing a drink. I called the restaurant to ask them to remake my order because I truthfully thought I was given mild or sauceless wings. They complied, but at the restaurant the bartender lady was very rude and claimed that those were their hot wings after all. I really wanted to like this place. We visited in the summer about 9:00 PM. There was no wait and very few others in the place. We were seated right away, orders taken, etc. It took a very long time for food to come. My husband and kids all had 12 wings, the days special. They were fine, when they finally came. It was another 10 minutes before my food was brought out. It was a wrap and fries. The food was cold and the wrap had gotten hard. Our waitress was no where to be found. She finally came by when we were about finished eating to ask if we needed drink refills, then took a very long time to actually refill them.
