Disappointed I love this place but every time I go there now they're never open. Obviously their hours don't match what's on their sign on their door. I'm not sure what's going on, but it'll be the weirdest times to be closed. For example it's lunchtime on a Friday and they're not open. read more

My husband used to eat here with his favorite uncle as a child and insisted we go. Likes: fast, not expensive, hot food, the "good ice", and really good Diet Coke! Dislikes: food wasn't anything special, very very very tight seating, and they don't offer a kids burger plate? (Weird to me.) Overall, nothing special, but a local burger joint. Locals seem to love it. Gravy on everything is their signature. The onion rings were real onions and only lightly breaded, I prefer more breading because it was almost like eating a half raw onion. Fries were extremely bland. I don't think they salt anything. Burgers were extremely bland and appear to be frozen patties. Gravy wasn't anything special to me. I didn't get it, but I tried my husbands. Slaw was the best thing I had. I liked their slaw it taste homemade, southern style. It wasn't sweet slaw if you were wondering. The hush puppies were good! Overall, It's alright. My food was going cold when I got it. 2.5 stars would have suited better. I was not impressed honestly. The onion rings are not my favorite (I prefer hot & well battered) as you can see they were kinda cold and not well battered at all. (I was mad I paid $2.00 extra for them) My first time having it. I want to try fries next time but the onion rings were a huge let down. The burger was good but not worth the price of the food honestly. (My opinion) I'll give them another try in the future but as a first time customer I was not impressed. I did like during COVID-19 they bring out the food to you! Big props for decreasing contact!! I have lived in Seneca for 7 years and we continually search for good places to eat. This is NOT one of those places. I had the hamburger steak plate and my wife had a bacon burger with onion rings. The gravy was NOT good on the fries (one of their specialties), the meat was just so-so and the slaw was mediocre. The onion rings were POOR with hard breading, my wife ended up having to pull the onion out of the breading just to eat it. I can only assume that the good reviews that have been given by other folks are a result of having had to eat poorly prepared meals in cheap restaurants. There can be no other reasons for giving more than one star. If I could give a minus star rating I would. Don't waste your money here. Our bad meal cost us $31.00 with tip. The waitress was very nice and friendly. I hope she finds a better place to work soon. DO NOT EAT HERE........YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! read more

It's a local dive. Clean. Very fast. Polite attentive service. My burger was in front of me in 90 seconds. That fast... My tea was refilled when it was down just 20%. Seats look like Waffle House. My burger was ok. Nothing special. Nothing horrible. Fries are frozen waffle cut. Cooked well not greasy. The salad is a small styrofoam cup of wilted lettuce. But this IS a dive. It looked like it was fresh just a little while ago. I will give 3 stars on service and attitude. They get extra credit for clean dive atmosphere. Food was just a 2 though... My friend and I went to time drive inn today to grab a bite to eat..foods usually good except the gravy..too much pepper and one time it tasted like peppered water..not a great taste.. Well today we ordered our food and we were listening to a conversation between a homeless man and some of the staff..he ordered a hotdog and an ice water..they charged $1.25 for his water .that's outrageous. Water should be free..and the one manager said he should go eat at the soup kitchen.. Unreal how someone can be so rude.. That poor guy.we gave him $5 and told him tobhave a blessed day..I wish I'd had more to give.. Think before you speak people .he didn't deserve that. read more

This place is a Seneca Landmark. I have been going here for over 35 years. Probably had over 1,000 Jumbo Cheeseburger Plates. Use to be on a Football Friday night you couldn't find a table before or after the game unless you got there early. Love the gravy on the french fries. You are a outsider if you don't like that. I live in Texas now but always make a trip to the "Time In" at least once when I am back home. Burgers patties have gotten smaller over the years as most places have. Time In has been here forever. A Seneca staple that has so many regulars the first question the server asks is "do you want a menu." The interior is simple and friendly, likely also a well maintained original from the building's opening 40 years ago. Odd, but the bathrooms are around back, so don't go looking for them inside. The hamburger steak is amazing. Get the signature gravy on EVERYTHING. Hot dogs with chili are also tasty. Sweet tea, fried fish, and even some soulful liver options are all offerings. The only flaw is with the recent change to the burger, which now appears to be a frozen patty. But you don't want that anyway when the hamburger steak plate is an option. read more

However the second time I went I took my grandmother with me who lives 4 hours away and we saw a roach crawling around one of the tables.
