My new favorite restaurant in the Clemson area! Stopped in on Saturday night for dinner and it was a great experience! The restaurant was very busy and there was a little bit of a wait. The inside, outside, and bar are all seated on the waiting list. They sat the 2 of us at the bar and it was a fun experience. The bartender made great recommendations and was very knowledgeable about the menu. They have 8 draft beers on tap and a large cocktail menu. We started off with the crispy brussels and it was excellent. The balsamic honey reduction was a nice addition to the appetizer. We got two sandwiches (chimichurri steak press and brisket reuben) and both were very good and recommended by the bartender. I enjoyed the fries a little more than the chips for a side item. Definitely plan on coming back to this restaurant the next time I'm up in Clemson! read more

On a visit to Clemson for grad schools we wanted to get the feel of the town and it seemed like evolve kitchen was a solid place people to gather. The bar has seating for about 12 to 15 and it is open style and very loud as evidenced by the noise baffles hanging from the ceiling. Our server was so sweet she took the time to explain that she too is a Clemson student and went into depth on the menu. I got the French dip and you can add three wings to your meal which seems like a good idea at the time. Also I swapped out the fries for a salad because I'm chunky. My wife and daughter at the burger and chicken tacos respectively, Burger was indeed tasty and the tacos were on point. Place seems to die down about 8:30 but it was the first week back from school break but you can tell this is a local favorite especially when the parents come in town! If things go well and we end up sending our daughter to Clemson we will definitely be back to evolve! read more

Easily one of the best culinary experiences downtown Clemson with great service and a casual, but energetic vibe. While many downtown restaurants are catering to the hungry college student with meager coin, Evolve cares about flavor and quality ingredients. Over the course of the 2025-26 school year I tried many of the popular venues only to return to Evolve again and again. The cutest restaurant! I was traveling and happened to stop in Clemson. Looked up restaurants in the area and this one caught my eye. We sat outside and had a delicious meal. The truffle fries are incredible. I would come back here just for those. The sandwich was full of flavor and the cheese burger was cooked to perfect and juicy. Yelp actually helped us pick this place, what a score!! Very chill atmosphere and the staff was super friendly. Thomas, who looked 16 1/2 worked like an industry legend behind the bar. Superb cocktails were his warm up. The food recs were the explosion, and man he was on point. Smoked wings, some of the best ever. Brisket tacos, fuhhgeddaboutit!!! Shaved steak panini put my wife and I over the top. We could barely speak as our mouths were perpetually full of our own and each other's meals. We communicated perfectly with pancake eyes, head nods, and eyebrow wiggles. Don't walk, run to Evolve. The only downer is that we don't have one closer, great job all!!! read more

One of the best spots in downtown Clemson for a great meal. Always crowded, so make sure you're there early. The place is open and nice.

Food was great and prices were reasonable. Love the Brussel sprouts. I could have just ate that as my meal. The Buffalo chicken dip was a. It on the hot side so if you are a "mild" Buffalo person this may be a little too hot for you. For me this was just right as it came with tortilla chips and pita chips. Great menu, something for everyone, the family ordered 4 different items and none were disappointed. Waitress was excellent, and you could tell they were working as a team to get the food out as fast as possible. Try the Pim Burger and Truffle Fries! The pimento cheese appetizer is absolutely amazing. We practically fought each other for the last bites of the pimento dip. We ordered the Steak and Brussel sprout salad, the Whiskey burger, and the Mister Pim burger. To be honest the burgers were both mid, but the salad and appetizer did not disappoint. It looked like the tacos were popular when looking at the table orders surrounding us. Their cocktail menu also looks intriguing for the next visit. Bonus points for the art and service. Loved this restaurant located in downtown Clemson near the University. After touring the campus with my daughter we decided to grab lunch before driving back to the Charleston area. It did not disappoint. First the server Veronica was exceptional, she shared her views on the Clemson campus and had some recommendations for dorms. She was super sweet. We started with the smoky wings and truffle fries, the wings were awesome so smoky and delicious. We both ordered the steak tacos, steak a bit dry but the experience made up for it. The service was great but my well done burger was burnt and dry. The burger I ordered, the guac burger, would really benefit from some cheese. It appears to be the only burger on the menu that doesn't come with it. Some pico de gallo along with guac would give it some more flavor too. The truffle fries (potato wedges) were ok. My husband felt the same way about his burger. My daughter enjoyed her burger (different one with pimiento cheese) and my son had no complaints about his chicken. read more

I'm not sure what to think, because I didn't really see anything that stood out to me on the menu as unique or healthier. We shared the club sandwich w a side cesar salad. It was just okay. This is what I would call the only "adult" restaurant in downtown Clemson. The menu is well thought out, and priced well for the quality. We sat at the bar. The bartender was helpful, even suggesting an alternative to the menu item I had preselected. His choice was correct. We tried the brussel sprouts appetizer and it was delicious. There are lots of students, of course, but even on a basketball game night the place was filled with adults. Overall, this is probably the best traditional date night type place in all of Clemson. read more

This was our first time at Evolve kitchen. We have lived in the area for about three years and had no idea this little gem was right in DT Clemson. The ambience was so nice. It felt like an upscale restaurant but the vibes were very everyday. The girl who served us our food was so sweet and friendly. I ordered the shrimp po boy and my boyfriend ordered the steak tacos and we got the mikes chips and guac for our appetizer. The food was really good I liked my po boy a lot and the guac was fresh and tasted nice. My boyfriend didn't absolutely love his tacos but he said they were okay he just wouldn't order them again. They didn't have the flavor he was hoping for and they weren't enough food to fill him up. I thought my food was good but the prices are steep for what you're getting. I really liked the shrimp po boy I definitely would order it again but like I said in my opinion the price is just wow. My daughter made a reservation in advance for a party of 5 on the day of her graduation from Clemson (today) and she called yesterday to make sure they had the reservation and whoever answered the phone said that they now (day before) cannot accommodate us because someone rented the whole place out. No one from the restaurant called to let her/ us know. My daughter and my husband who spoke to some man (said he was not the manager) was completely indifferent. Up in Clemson for son's graduation, grabbed lunch after morning ceremony. We were in a little early fir our reservation, but they got us seated quickly..they were also patient as it took a little time for our son to catch up, getting drink orders and app ordered. Emily, our waitress, was truly embodied southern hospitality..although she did let one blasphemous "you guys" slip in there. The chip and dip trio was great...notably the elote..which is a corn dip (think Mexican street corn)...the salsa and queso also good. My daughter and I split the big bird, which is a good choice if you want to go lighter. The pesto added nice flavor without overpowering. My wife and mother-out-law split the French Dip, and both were really pleased with the flavor and seasoning. Despite splitting two meals, they plated both sets well, looking like individual meals, and didn't give us that look-down-your- nose snooty attitude that some restaurant staff get when you split a meal. My son got the brisket tacos, which he noted the meat was cut thick, quickly devoured them, and offered a hearty burp as proof of satisfaction. His friend with us got the Ceasar wrap, and nothing but compliments there. We're down in Charleston, a foody-city, but also where everything seems like an overseasoned, overly complicated, overpriced and overhyped choice.
