But, rather than charging me to make the emergency house call I was asking for, their expertise and integrity was proven by the fact that they immediately were able to correctly diagnose the issue just based on their experience and my description of the problem, and then they referred me to Alameda Municipal Power, because the problem was with the power meter. The AMP repair was free. Sattler could have charged me to come out, but they were so good at listening and experienced that they diagnosed it just based on their own knowledge and then helped me save money, rather than making an easy cash for what could have been an expensive house call. Really appreciate the honesty and expertise and would hire these folks in the future for sure.

The original estimate was $3,000, final damages were $6,000, with a painful back and forth on time and materials. Original time estimate was 2 days, job took 2 days, but somehow he magically came up with enough costs to double the cost of the job. He has an office manager and we could communicate via text to Valery, phone to the office or email. Timing was a bit complex because another contractor was installing paving where the spa was to go. And we had a third crew digging the trenching for the electrical line in the evening after the yard was dug up and before pavers were laid. Valery and his office manager coordinated and made themselves available when we needed them. He also stopped by after hours to make sure the digging guys knew exactly where to dig. I think, all told, Valery must have come over five times to check on the project. He also made a trip to the spa store to make sure he understood how to hook up our particular spa. I can't imagine that any other electrician would spend so much time and attention on our job outside of his actual electrical work. Despite the extra trips, he held firm on his original price. And he's such a nice guy!
