Stopped here for lunch with my younger daughter while the older was in a dance class. Lunch menu pretty wide-ranging but with all the ones you would expect. My kid has the sesame chicken and I had the orange chicken. The sauces in the entrees here lean on the sweet side and a little thick. With lunch you get a soup, egg roll and choice of fried or steamed rice. You can also get noodles instead. They do offer a limited vegetarian menu. Clean restaurant and bathroom. Plans for a homemade Christmas dinner with family were thwarted on my holiday trip to Houston, so the few of us that were able to eat had to pivot to something else on short notice. T. Jin China Diner was 10 minutes away and open on Christmas day, so I placed a pickup order consisting of two orders of sweet sour chicken with white rice, eight egg rolls, chicken lo mein, a kids chicken fried rice, and BBQ spare ribs. The general consensus was that the food was good for a Chinese restaurant in a strip mall. I thought the egg rolls were a little better than grocery store freezer section quality. The lo mein and kids fried rice were both solid and the kids fried rice in particular was a good value for the price. The sweet and sour chicken tasted as expected with one of the two boxes unexpectedly containing cut up pieces of peppers. The BBQ spare ribs didn't have a ton of meat on them, but what was on the ribs was good. The website doesn't seem to give pickup estimates based on their current workload, so be aware there may be longer delays than listed. I was quoted at 20 minutes, which I thought was unrealistic given how busy Chinese places are on Christmas. My order ended up being ready almost 50 minutes after I placed it. read more

Used to be are absolute favorite Chinese place. Now they have trimmed down the menu and a few fav's are gone: Mongolian Lamb & Thai Chicken & Shrimp. Decided to Door Dash tonight and have been wanting to try this place. I ordered the crab Rangoon, which was very good, a side of fried rice and that had really good flavor, and the orange chicken. The orange sauce was absolutely incredible, however the chicken was way overcooked, tough and tasted old. It was actually hard to eat. I would actually rate this at a 3.5 because of the sauce, Rangoons and the fried rice were really good but the main portion of the meal was not edible. read more

Stopped in for lunch (once to-go and another I ate inside) and both times I was very happy with my meal! The food was fresh and hot and very tasty. Their lunch menu cannot be beat. For around $10 you get: soup, eggroll, and your entree...and all of the portions are perfect. The service is what made want to write this review. The young man that was waiting on tables was wonderful. The receipt says Austin so I am assuming that is his name. He is extremely respectful, very attentive, and makes sure you have everything you need. He even remembered that I had been in a week before. This restaurant is one of eight with a similar name in the northwest, west and southwest houton suburbs. I visited here on a holiday when not much else was open but asian restaurants, Dennys, IHOP, Starbucks, etc. During several other places during holidays, they have dinner prices all day, but at least they are open. I ordered the general tsos chicken and an iced tea. The meal was served on a nice wavy, modern plate and there were several chunks of fried white meat chicken with it Also. 2 broccoli, a few jalapeno slices, few diced green bell peppers, finely diced green onions resting in a brown sauce. As far as taste, I would say it is just average. The best part for me is the sauce. I requested white rice. Fried rice or brown rice are $1 more, but I just don't usually eat either of those rices, so I got white. It was a little on the mushy side. Service was excellent, so that is a plus. read more

You know, the food is pretty good here, but it is the service that absolutely is horrible. The two young guys that work there are too busy with their iPhones than giving good service. A 25% tip ($5 and change tip on a $19 bill) and not even a "Thank You!" I went to leave and made eye contact with one of them and didn't even get a "See you soon!" I go there once a week and they know me from my order, but these two servers make you feel like you are actually interrupting their day when you go in there. Fang's Cafe has amazingly friendly service and you can dine in there. Once Jin Xin allows dine in service, I will give T Jin Diner the axe. Is it too hard for these two knuckleheads to be nice to the customers? If they worked for me, they would be gone! I wish I could figure out the schedule of the older lady that sometimes serves. She "gets it" and takes care of you like you are in her own home... The way it ought to be. I'm going to give T Jin Diner a break. Sorry guys. Your dine in service sucks! read more

This is my second time here, the first time I got Magnolia beef which was so so good, had a great spice and beef is tender, saucy which I love. Orange chicken was a hit. Both times were spectacular, got it extra crispy and spicy and spicy it was . So I normally carry out the combination fried rice with bean sprouts, about once every quarter or so. Today I was in the are and decided to do the same thing. I should have know something was off, my rice was lukewarm. It was overpriced- at least not according to the menu prices- but - Whatever...
