pineapple sunflower meal bowl (substituted egg with quinoa)
    Sam M.

Amazing place! Excellent ambience. Loved their menu. Ordered pineapple sunflower meal bowl (substituted egg with quinoa) and masala chai. Both were fantastic. Taste was blend but felt really healthy. Hot tea comes with filter lid. I am surprised to find such a nice vegan-vegetarian friendly cafe in Lawrence.

presidente bowl was okay sweet potatoes were hard still lol

The food healthy? sure! tasty? so so maybe i just ordered a blah dish but I wasn't super impressed the chicken was tender so thats good but the dish had absolutely no taste at all and the sweet potatoes were still hard! the salsa was the best part on top, 5/10 for effort. My friend gets the primal bowl which maybe i should have because its her favourite and she loves it she gets it without cashews or mushrooms but id keep them on mine i think cause i like those! I also got the warrior juice which I actually really liked only downfall is there was so much ice in the cup next time I think I would barely get any because Im paying for the drink not ice! The overall vibe is really chill and quite good place to study and do homework with a smoothie!

Clean eating done right. Great ambiance to enjoy fresh juices, smoothies and salads. I tried the Blueberry Almond Quinoa and the Moroccan Mint Tea and my taste buds were happy. Definitely will come back.

Basil Hummus salad add "avocado". Much left to be desired

Pros: Loose leaf teas is $4/oz. You can make quite a few cups with 1 ounce which is much more cost effective than paying $3/tea in the store. The shooters are tasteful and decently priced. I had the E3 live and it was good, however my girlfriend didn't like it so that may be a preference. The next time I will try some of the others and update my review. The balls are delicious, I've had the peanut butter and chocolate balls and both were very flavorful. Cons: the salad and meal bowl were not up to par with the rest of the items. I had the create your own meal bowl. The menu is set up well and looked promising. Choose 1 grain/legume 1 protein 3 fruits/veggies 1 dairy (cheese) 1 nut 1 sauce So I chose Black beans Chicken Avocado Red pepper Kale Blue cheese Chia seed Salsa Unfortunately the bowl was not proportioned well, it was mainly a bowl of black beans and to top it off it only had 1 extremely thin slice of avocado on it. There was only only about 2 ozs of chicken on the bowl. Lastly there was not enough salsa to cover the bowl even lightly. There are calories listed next to the items, it stated 100 calories of avocado. There are 250 calories is an average medium avocado. Therefore 100/250 is 40% of a whole avocado. As you can see in the pictures its approximately 1/8 of an avocado or 12.5%. It also stated 54 calories of beans. 1 cup of black beans is 624 calories, 54/624 =8.7%. While is somewhat hard to see in the photo, the entire bottom of this bowl is black beans, I would guess 1/2 cup (312 cal). Definitely misleading information. My girlfriend had the basil hummus salad which came with minimal chicken and minimal hummus. She did request avocado as well and they gave her the same portion as myself. I will note that they did not charge us for that so there's that. I will say the ingredients did taste relatively fresh however the bowls are quite bland even with the sauces. All in all I will no longer eat here. We will return for the teas and side items. I posted the pictures so you can see what the salad and bowl looked like.

I'm torn. I really, really like the healthy options. They make my tummy smile. Especially since I'm eating GF. However, the portions are kinda skimpy and the prices are high. I had the Sonoma quinoa bowl, and even added chicken, and was hungry 2 hours later. At $8, I shouldn't be hungry. The black lavender tea is divine. And I got some protein balls. The sunbutter ones were the best, I tried one of each. I like the decor, and they let me suck up their wifi all afternoon too. I know I'll be back, because I love the healthy options.

Since I've been in Lawrence (which is about 10 years now which is so nuts) this has been Merchants. I love Merchants. It's consistently (to me) a top 3 restaurant on Mass St. The food is high quality. The service is high quality. The chefs table is a vibe (idk if they still have it but they did a few years ago). Anyway, the duck and dumplings was so comforting. It was the perfect ratio of duck to dumpling to vegetable to broth. The bison burger always slaps and the fries are so yummy. Dare I say they have the best burger in town? Also you guys have the BEST Diet Coke. So good and crispy. I love you Merchants! Also sitting next to the window and looking out to the twinkle lights on mass was so dreamy.

The restaurant itself is beautiful inside -- a cozy mix of rustic and modern that creates a really inviting atmosphere. Service started a little slow, though our waitress became more attentive once she came by. We mentioned it was our first visit, so I was a bit surprised there wasn't much guidance on the menu or any recommendations. At one point I asked about the two kinds of fries (I love fries!), and the explanation was simply that they were "fancy fries," without much detail on flavors or differences. We started with drinks and the Brussels sprouts appetizer. The sprouts were actually very good, with a nice balance in the sauce, and both the wine and sangria were refreshing. Unfortunately, dinner is where things went downhill. Our meals -- a steak and a gluten-free chicken sandwich -- took about 45 minutes to arrive, which felt long for relatively simple dishes. I had asked about the gluten-free bun since they can sometimes be dry, but didn't receive much insight beyond "it's gluten free," and sadly it was indeed very dry. The chicken itself lacked flavor, though the goat cheese cilantro sauce helped make it somewhat enjoyable. The fries looked homemade and delicious but arrived cold. The steak was cooked as requested, but it didn't have much flavor beyond the mushrooms on top. The broccoli side was tasty, and the potatoes were good, though it on a bed of Some kind of cheese sauce that wasn't quite to our liking. Overall, the space and gluten-free availability were promising, and the appetizers and drinks were enjoyable, but the food execution and service details didn't quite meet expectations for us this visit.

Was seated sooner than it was quoted, which was great. Wait staff was amazing. I ordered the chorizo and eggs. I give it a three out of five. It was a little on the bland side. They had some green Cholula; thar made a huge difference. Also ordered the French toast, which was a four out of five. Amazing meal! The vegan hash was also three out of five, and the same with the biscuits and gravy. The bigger issue was that the drinks were ordered at the same time as the meal. It took over 43 minutes after the drinks came for the meal to show up. The wait staff apologized for the long wait, but that was just way too long to wait for a meal. We were just about to pay for the drinks and leave when the food actually came to the table. The ambience of the place has a nice hometown feel to it, but the turnaround time on meals was entirely too long. I wanted to try some more things out of the pastry case, but because of the long wait, I had to get back on my way. If I ever did stop back by, I'd have the French toast again, but I definitely tried some of the other things in the pastry case that looked rather delicious.

Last night may 30 i ordered the chicken milanese w breast meat as you can see from my attachment from menu. Nope once again took a cut of the chicken and dark meat again and I hate dark meat. Cut it in half and showed waitress who went and talked to the kitchen. They said that when they butcher the chicken they sometimes get thigh meat w the breast???? What? Unbelievable that a manager didn't come to discuss but 35.00 bucks for thigh and arugula salad is robbery. She was kind enough to take off bill but still feel 715 is trying to pull one over again which might explain all the empty seats as well. Have shared this story w a few folks who have said it has gone downhill in the last several months. The prices you charge are over the top. Plenty of other places in town to eat like q39 where you can get a 3 meat platter w 2 sides and order of wings for the same price as 715's chicken thigh and arugula salad! Ok after this i am done.
