I would get all these offers from other companies, but Verizon would come close to the offer, so I would stay with them. I went into the Verizon store and, they said they were sorry, but they could not match Sprints offer. so I switched. I notified Verizon in September that I had switched services. I should have had a credit for the part of September that I had already paid for. Then I was charged the entire fee in October (I had autopay, so they took it out of my checking account), so I called them. They said I would get a refund. Then I receive another bill for November for another $80. When I called they said I owed them another cycle and Zavier (Verizon representative) listed about 10 different fees that I owed. I cannot believe this! How can they bill me for stopping service? I haven't had services with them for over 6 weeks, but fees keep racking up? In essence, they say I owe $164 for fees/charges AFTER I canceled services. I was no longer on contract and owned my phone. This is insane. Now I wish I had left them years ago.... Be careful! Get everything in writing.

Everything from antique heavy AF mirrors and artwork that had been passed down in my family to a basket of notes from me in 7th grade. It was a hot summer day and all I wanted to do was to unload this stuff and get to the lake house! I created a section of my stuff to ship in the back of his store and just left it and he was going to provide a quote. NOTHING was packed. My last words to him were, just pack everything so it doesn't break and ship it slowly which I thought it would be less expensive. He provided my a quote within hours, and while I gulped at the price, I knew it was fair. He also said it would be cheaper to send on a palette and deliver to a work address. So we did that as well. Four months later, I am finally getting around to unwrapping the shipment and I am so impressed --it must have taken him HOURS to pack. It was pro job.

We ended up just going and picking it up without any cleaning service done to it. This is not somewhere I would recommend if you're looking for quick service. I started receiving calls regarding a private customer dispute. No business should allow an employee to involve outside individuals in a customer issue. I am currently visiting my elderly mom in Ann Arbor, MI. I was helping her fix things around the…read morehouse, one of which was to repair her living room vertical blinds. They were not closing, it looked like a hardware problem! On investigating, I learned that she had replaced the track a couple of years ago. The house was built in 1998 and the blinds worked fine for 20 years at which point there was an issue with the track that was replaced two years back. I further learned that the track was installed by her handy man instead of a professional blind specialist. Being on a tight budget and wanting to be green, she really wanted to see if the blinds could be repaired at a nominal cost. Some other blind specialists had assessed to "replace the blinds both hardware and the veins" because they were not repairable, which was the very expensive option. I kept asking the fundamental question that the blinds worked for 20 years with the old track and fail after 2 years with the new track....could this be the quality of the blind hardware perhaps? It turns out that part of the problem was a faulty installation by the handy man. This problem led me to the PHENOMENAL Josh Barron of Esquire Interiors (which by the way is a third generation family run business I later learned), he impressed me with: 1. His excellent listening skills with my mom to understand the problem with the blinds and then solving the problem very methodically and precisely. He asked my mom thoughtful questions and genuinely wanted to understand the issue and when he sensed that mom was struggling to explain he did a FaceTime call with her which made it easier for my mom to show him the issue at hand. Josh was able to determine on the phone that he strongly felt that he could repair the blinds at a very reasonable cost. Thus saving her a big expense! 2. His knowledge, competence and tenacity at problem solving the issue was truly inspiring. He tried many things to diagnose and fix the issue. There was a lot of trial and error as he eliminated possibilities and then the problem was fixed!!! 3. He graciously agreed to look at mom's other blinds and fixed their minor issues, shortening the blind in some places due to the house settling and lubricating the tracks as necessary. He did all the extra without charging. This is how we take care of our seniors! Thank you, Josh! Josh is very competent (knows his trade very well, I learned he was working with his dad building tracks at the tender age of 8!), very customer centric, and very high on integrity and compassion....a winning combination! He will be our "go to" person for all things blinds from now on and when we are ready to get new blinds....we will go to his business. Minty
