The only reason I did not give Mobile PC 5 stars was their poor communication during the process. All phone calls came from me to get any updates. Very concerning as I have never done business with them before and thought they could be downloading sensitive data or other mischief. To better put your client's mind to ease, Mobile PC should reach out to their customers to give them frequent updates and timeframes on the repair. Simple customer service would make them excellent.

In the process of getting it repaired, I also learned that the owners at CPU are not interested in the Sandwich community or helping people...just making a buck anyway they can, no matter who gets hurt in the process. In the case of my mother: I brought her like-new 2-year old Sony laptop (which I had purchased for her and had used perfectly on a recent previous visit) simply to have a webcam installed. Sadly, the greedy owners at Computers & Performance Upgrades told me the laptop was badly infected with malicious viruses and needed a complete operating system reinstall--which was absolutely untrue (my mother seldom if ever goes online; she mostly plays local CD-based games like Solitaire). As I'm not that tech savvy (nor is my mother), she insisted on paying the eye-gouging bill herself for the wholly unnecessary procedure--something that was incredibly hard on a fixed retirement budget. I wonder how many other people like myself and my elderly mother have had their tech ignorance taken advantage of, and been sold unnecessary services, repairs and parts by Computers & Performance Upgrades in the past few years. It's clear from my dealings with them that they've been taking advantage of the uninformed and elderly for years--praying on ignorance, raping bank accounts and employing the worst in scare tactics...all to fleece their vulnerable & trusting customers.
