I stopped in Saturday about trying to get home wifi. Deon and I were not on the same page...some sort of frustrating communication breakdown.... I told him I wanted the $35 wifi and a booster/extender. He said I couldn't get service in my area, too many neighbors have it. Bummer! There was a $156 and $165 plan he could offer me. Ummm no. Not looking for a service four and five times the amount of what I came in for. He also brought up an RV plan.... My phone had fallen out of my pocket into the toilet, and I needed to replace my phone. I had been using my late husband's phone, and he had been on a prepaid plan with T-Mobile for years. Anyway, I went into this particular store for assistance in selecting a new phone. I had to buy the phone outright as I was going to continue with the prepaid plan. The wannabe hipster who was one of the employees was completely disinterested in helping me select a phone once he learned that I was a prepaid plan user. He refused to answer any of my questions. My boyfriend suggested that I try Boost Mobile. I did, and I got a better phone and plan to boot. Bye Bye T-Mobile.. I had such excellent customer service when I was in the store this week. Rob was the gentleman who helped me and I would give his professionalism, communication, and overall attitude an A+. I needed to upgrade my phone and wanted to switch from Sprint to T-Mobile. The previous week I'd stopped in but the phone I wanted was out of stock so I decided to wait and come back. I ended up buying a phone across the way and having Rob migrate my account to T-Mobile and do a bit of tech set up. I don't know how the commission structure works at T-Mobile but I presume selling phones is part of how they earn commission. Despite (I presume) not earning commission on assisting me, he was patient, kind, thorough, and polite. I strategically went when I thought it might not be busy. I noticed that he was constantly mindful of the door without losing track of our interaction. He and the other folks on duty seemed to have a really nice synergy to greeting people, and checking them in. I noticed one customer whom they checked in and then asked to wait outside and they'd text when they were ready. I appreciate that they are doing their best to minimize the number of people in the store. I was very pleased with my experience. And I DID buy a few items from Rob (car charger, screen protector) so he'd at least earn a few bucks in commission (I hope). Excellent customer service fir me. read more
