I would advice the whole team to ask OPEN-ENDED questions to their customers. I understand everyone is trying to make a sale, but make sure to put customers' needs first before yours. To the manager, educate your employees on services that T-MOBILE provides. If I were a secret shopper from corporate, I'd personally close this store down for 2 days just to re-train the whole team, go over the brand's policies, offers, services, etc. I won't bash anyone on here from my experience, but 2/5 rating says a lot. read more

The APP does not work to do your claim. Then you call customer service and they tell you go to your location for help. So go to the store at the mall. Everyone sits around can't figure out how to help. It does not help when your workers have nails so long they can't even type with out making errors. This is a constant at the mall they sit around and NEVER seem to be able to help. They will say use the APP that does not work! Absolutely terrible service! read more

We had been helped by a female employee for a replacement phone. I was asked for my phone and she took my screen protector off shattering it without asking if I was going to try and reuse it. Later it was found out that my phone was sent to a different store so I had run out if luck as they had just closed. I asked the employee what would happen to my phone if my screen broke till I got my replacement and she said they wouldn't be able to replace it as the screen would be broken. I told her well my phone had a screen protector but you just broke that. Her response was that it wouldn't happen. I told her you just don't know and the screen protector was put in place to help prevent that kind of damage for a reason. The employee just didn't seem to realize what my point was and was getting more of a too bad kind of vibe from her. She was rude and had no customer service at all. Just hoping my screen doesn't damage as a result of her negligence. I ended up having the place the shattered protector till I get my replacement phone in the hope that nothing happens to it. read more

I just recently switched carriers from Sprint due to bad service. I called to see if I received my final bill and they said I would get another one even though I am not with them due to it being one month behind in billing. I called customer service but that is overseas and all they want to do is argue and go around in circles with you. I hope that you if you decide with these guys, please think hard and long. I am now with a better carrier and I am getting the best service possible. I will not asked any one to sign with them because I don't want them to go through the hassle of getting a simple request taken care of. Sprint is the worst of them all. I was having problems with my phone holding a charge while I was out of town. Went to a store in Burlingame and was told it was under warranty so they ordered me another one. I was told I'd pay a $20 processing fee. A day later my phone had no internet outside of wifi so I couldn't make or recive calls or send or receive texts and I have a business so not good. Not too mention no GPS either which I needed as I was out of town. When I got back to Monterey Pennisula I went to the store in Del Monte Center to see if they could help with the no phone service. I was told there phone was defective after they examined it and put a new Sim card in with no results. I had the phone replacement delivered to this store. I went to pick it up today now they tell me it's my fault the phone isn't charging and the replacement phone is not covered afterall. Why wasn't I told that in the beginning if that was the case? I have been waiting to get this replacement because I was under the impression it was covered under warranty. Regardless of the fact my phone has basically been useless the last week. They are saying that's a separate issue. T-mobile has poor customer service, they are not honest with their customers and I'm leaving this carrier. They suck! read more

Odd how I'm waiting to pay a bill but the staff has time to chat amongst themselves instead of working! It's great that they are having a good time at work but not when it involves the customers waiting! This store closes in 10 minutes and they have no sense of urgency to take my payment! Right from the get-go Jose didn't want to assist me. I came in the store to buy a screen protector for my new phone. I asked him to assist me with transferring everything. Before we started the transfer the LG app said the phone needed to be at 20% ( my phone was at 17%) that is when Jose said to go home and to charge it and to do the transfer at home since it was very simple. After I suggested to use one of their chargers, he had no choice but to help me. Another interest I had was to purchase a tablet, after going back and forth I finally made a decision on which tablet, well come to find out they didn't have them in stock. I asked if other stores had them, he quickly replied "NO". I wasn't convinced because he didnt bother to look or call other stores. Right after leaving the store I called the store in Monterey and well turns out they did have the tablet I wanted and to top it all off, the promotion Jose was trying to sell me on didn't start until the following day. After this experience I am sticking to the store in Monterey. If its true this Salinas branch is own by corporate you would think they would be more customer service oriented. read more

I was very disappointment by the service I received at T-Mobile on 901 N Main Street, Salinas (phone call). Particularly with an employee named Guillermo. His customer service skills need a lot of work. I have been with Sprint for 11 years and I have never had such an awful experience. FYI - this is my first ever yelp review. At this point, I may call and cancel my plan and switch to another carrier. Not only did he try telling me that my insured sprint device was bought through Best Buy(I bought it online through Sprint) but then he also told me I was not the account holder and that he shouldn't have disclosed any information with me.. If that was the case I am more concerned then ever that T-Mobile employees would be giving non-account members information on an account that does not belong to them. I had to request a manager(Ray) to confirm that I was in fact the account holder. After a data breach that impacted 50 million people, you'd think they'd be a little more careful. read more

I would give a negative 5 review if I could... this is based on the service at the location not T-Mobile company themselves. Absolutely horrible service. Ive been a customer for over 10 years and have had to visit local stores for one reason or another. The manager, name starts with an A, acts like she's superior to you for I don't know what reason. She can't even pretend to act like she wants to be there and looks pissed ALL the time. She never makes eye contact with you as you're talking to her and this last time, about 2 weeks ago, she actually tried to start an argument with me. Once she heard my totally valid points all she did was stand there and stare at her computer screen. I'm not one to make a scene or single someone out but that's how bad it has gotten at this place. Plus, you can't do anything at these stores but buy a phone and make payments. Everything else will get you a "we cant do that here, you have to call the 1-800 number" response. Soooo irritating! You're better off going to the Northridge location. Its tiny and just as busy, if not more, but customer service is better. read more

T-Mobile is the very worst company I have ever seen in 58 years being alive! I have been waiting to become "eligible" for an upgrade for a year. Midnight I could have upgraded to the I phone 6 but I just called and because I am on their old plan still I would have to continue to pay my EIP PLUS a new EIP for the I phone 6. Or I was given the option of an 80.00 credit for a phone I paid 601.00 for less than a year ago and still owe 345 on. Unreal. I can't wait to rid myself of my dealings with this company. read more

The new store on Main is nice and the staff was helpful when I replaced my broken phone in 2015. HOWEVER, I live in Monterey and the cell tower next to the Del Monte Shopping Center stopped working on March 5, 2016, which resulted in no cell service at my home for two weeks (I live just down the hill from the shopping center). I called T-Mobile five times and was told "we are aware of the cell tower problem and a technician is working on it". After waiting two weeks for the tower to get fixed, I finally cancelled service with T-Mobile and went with another company. T-Mobile refused to reimburse me for the two weeks of no service or the cost of the same phone with the new carrier. Thanks for treating me like trash, T-Mobile. BUYER BEWARE. read more

I came in with a $150 promo card 01-13-17 . I purchased a Samung G550T, ON5. I bought this phone on "the blind." The young man that was "assigned" to me could not be less helpful than if I was alone.. He absolutely could not explain the features of any Android phone. Either it was his first day or he just didn't know anything about any of the Android phones being offered. Maybe he was an I-phone person???? I was converting from a Windows phone to an Android and all he could offer was that "they" would not be able to transfer my contacts. Why??? they just couldn't. I went home, googled "how to transfer contacts from a Windows phone to an Android" and was able to do it in less than 5 minutes. Maybe this store needs NEW management in order to teach their staff the magic of technology and the INTERNET. If you go to this T-Mobile don't expect anything other than for the staff to ring up your purchases. If you nothing about cell phones,you better learn from the internet. Don't expect good customer service. Don't expect information on phones. Don't expect anything other than the staff taking your money for a choice you made. read more
