Stacy was the best customer service representative I've ever had! My Samsung Note 20 Ultra ran out of memory and figured was time to upgrade so I visited the AT&T location in Salinas and feel very fortunate that Stacy was available to assist me. I had a feeling that I may of been paying more than promised on my current plan and Stacy figured out that I had never been given the promotional credit for my trade in when signing up with AT&T as a new customer. In addition, I had a time contraint of making the switch to a new phone since I was completely out of memory (the biggest irritation with Samasung galaxy phones for me), and throughout 2 visits she was able to get a ticket in place for a credit. Her supervisor Luke was also involved in this process and assured the credit will be be applied. I decided to upgrade to the Samsung note 23 and added a watch, plus accessories. I ended up having to come back to the store because my notes didn't transfer over and once again Stacy figured out the issue. I cannot even express how knowledgable, down to earth, and reliable Stacy was throughout the whole process of upgrading my phone. I came in with multiple issues and Stacy took control of everything where I had complete confidence in getting the best resolution possible. I have been talking about trying to get my boyfriend and his daughters to switch providers where Stacy took the time to give me a generalized quote. At&t may gain some new customers due to how satisfied I was with this customer service experience!! read more

It's not just this AT&T store that has terrible service -- the problem affects the entire company. If you're thinking about trading in your old phone to get the new iPhone 17 Pro, please listen carefully: it's a scam. They tell you that doing an upgrade is no problem, but what they don't tell you in the contract is that the value of your old phone is not given to you as a gift card, and it's not applied immediately to reduce the price of your new phone. It also doesn't help you escape paying $200, $300, or even $600 a month in service fees. That money simply never shows up. Instead, they give you a tiny credit of $15 to $20 per month, forcing you to stay with them for 3 to 4 years. And if you try to leave earlier, they won't apply the credits, they won't unlock the phone, and they try to charge you the full $1200 price of the device. On top of that, they won't give you back your old phone that you traded in. To make it worse, they block access to your account, they don't show you how much you owe, and they don't let you see the remaining balance on your new phone. I wish I had known about all the lawsuits this company has. Please, do not switch to AT&T and do not do their so-called upgrade. Even if it's hard, save up two or three paychecks and buy your phone directly from Apple. That way, you can use it with any carrier and pay $30 to $60 a month, without being trapped in hidden fees or manipulative contracts. read more

Without going into detail about the situation, the manager Reyes had helped me ( so I thought at the time) and asked me to follow up with him in a week to be sure everything was taken care of. When I reached out to him in a week, conveniently those were his two days off. He had given me his cell number number but took three days to get back to me. When he did get back to me finally he still said he was waiting for a response from the department that was to close my late father's account. I reached out to him two more times and nothing ever was done. He never emailed me as he said he would, and finally after me texting him several more times he got back to me telling me basically that he can't seem to help me! So now I'm stuck right back to where I was two months ago.Horrible customer service he's trying to just blame the other department. Very very dissatisfied with AT&T! Went in to do a trade in for one of my phones, sales rep. Eric O. was the one who help me but was very short with answers and not helpful. I would ask questions to get clarification and gave me very short responses. I had to ask him the questions instead of him explaining the process. We proceeded to order the iphone and told me I wouldn't received it until end of November/ beginning of December if I still wanted it, keep in mind I already knew that. The store was very organized and appeared well-staffed (I know understaffing is common these days). I was impressed by the people who work here. They were kind, professional, and very knowledgeable. Extremely poor customer service. They will not keep their word/promises. I came to the store about 2 months ago, Oscar helped me out, although he was very nice in the way he talked, now it's my understanding that he is extremely careless. I initially came to this AT&T store to opena business account with 5 lines for one of my comapny and clearly told Oscar that billing should be under my company name. This is very important and I kept bringing it up again and again while I was there. We ordered 2 new iphones, while he was setting up our lines I changed my mind and decided to get 4 lines instead. Oscar said he has already processed 5 lines but I can call at&t in next 5 days and cancel, I won't be charged for that line. He then charged few hundred dollars that was tax due on our new iphones. When I went home, I saw two pending transactions from at&t, one was what I was told about and inserted my card in their payment machine for and other I had no clue about. I called them back right away, they had no answer, Oscar said wait until that transaction becomes completed, but my funds were being withheld without my permission, i had to use those funds somewhere else. After 2 days, the transaction I paid for went away and the un-authorized transaction went through, even though this transaction was less but their staff had no answer for this, they looked into it alot. Strange. Then my iPhones arrived and I made an appointment with Oscar and went to the store. He activated our iphones and was trying to sell me two expensive iphone cases. I was not interested, he said if I buy two he will make one free, I agreed. I told him to finance those cases and add it to my bill, he said then he can't give that offer, but his manager said that I can call back after I receive my first bill and they'll be glad to add the difference as credits. I asked Oscar if he will give me something in writing because they deal with so many customers, it'll be hard to remember someone after a month. He said they do it all the time, he will remember. My first bill arrives, it was way over than what was quoted to me, like more than double. Then I was charged in full for those two overpriced cases of iphones, they were not financed, even though Oscar told me he put them on finance. I called this at&t store 3 times so far to ask them to apply pending credits and why wasn't the case financed? When I have paper work that says it was financed? And my bill, which is a business plan, instead of saying my company name, says Sharma(my last name), I told Oscar atleast 5-7 times to make sure this doesn't happen while I was at the store initially. Out all 3 times i have called this store to speak to Oscar, i have got exact same response each and every time: "Oscar is busy helping another customer, as soon as he gets free he'll give you a callback." No call back ever received. I have been Tmobile customer for last 5 years and switched to at&t with high hopes and wanted to have my entire business on at&t, i own 3 companies, but I am utterly dissatisfied with the service and fake promises these guys have made. They are not even willing to follow up with me after my 3 phone calls. I am not sure what kind of customer service is this. My business also offers customer service, we always follow up with our clients and not forget them thinking they'll eventually stop calling. read more

I came in with a cracked iPhone screen and wanted to fix it since I have insurance. The man at the door said they couldn't do anything to help me and said I needed to go to Apple at Del Monte to get it fixed. I drove myself to Apple and they told me it would cost $279 to replace. Before I committed to the payment, I visited the AT&T store in Del Monte that was right across from the Apple store, and they confirmed that I had insurance and gave me the number to call for a replacement which cost me only $49 as opposed to the $279 at Apple. I almost lost about $230 due to the laziness and lack of customer service at the Salinas location. It's pretty frustrating to know that they could have given me the number to call for my insurance, but instead told me to drive all the way to Monterey and spend my money at Apple since they are too lazy to deal with customers. read more

I put off getting a new phone for almost 3 years. The last time I went into get one (Del Monte Center AT&T) it was a nightmare. 4 hours later in tears, I swore I would have that phone for life, as I never wanted to go through that again. Fast Forward Sunday, yes Sunday, I thought I broke the screen. I was devastated, now I had no choice I had to go in. Nearest store to us was on North Main in front of the Target. I took a deep breath and in I walked at 5pm, they close at 6. We were immediately greeted by Juan Chavez. This amazing young man took one look at my screen and assured me I only broke the protector. He was knowledgeable and very nice. I figured, let's risk a new phone, as this one was a 7s. He happily showed us the phones, helped us find on that worked for me. I was so comfortable, I asked husband who had a 6s, this is feeling ok, do you want to upgrade too? Of course and Juan helped him find a phone for him. We went to the table Juan explained everything, so that we understood and walked us calmly through the process. I was shocked we were in and out by 6, phones in hand. We were trading in our old phones and had to take them home to transfer everything, very good trade in rate btw. We got it done and had to go back today to turn them in... crossed my fingers it would be as easy. Today Jaime Duenas greeted us at the door. He walked us right over to a table and walked us straight through the process of turning them in. I had a question about something I used to do on my old phone but did not know how to do on this one, Jaime was knowledgeable and willing to share what he knew. It was another great experience. I cannot recommend this AT&T store enough. Everyone we met there were so professional and helpful. It was really nice. read more

I've worked customer service all my life and never would I ever take my personal life out on customers. He was not the best sales rep, it was obvious that he just wanted to leave and give us a "upgrade" as soon as he can to get out of there. Just walked into the Salinas store because I wanted to purchase a new phone today. We were informed that their system was down and would not be able to perform any transactions. I asked if there was any way they could call or text me once their system came back up and instead of saying yes the employee said that he could try writing a note but no one was going to stand around waiting for the system to come back up and contact us. I have been a customer of their's for at least 10 years and I expected better customer service. I was very disappointed and will be rethinking whether or not I want to remain a customer. read more

In my last visit, I wanted to get pricing about FirstNet, adding a new line and buying an iPhone. So, I told "Juan" my husband was a first responder and I wanted to know about plans/phones. He said "your husband has to be here so I can give him the info and pricing. Plus, I have to run his credit. I said "we already have ATT and I'm aware he has to sign but I'm the one who wants to know the price. Im the one who decides what type of plans we get. He hates dealing with this stuff." if I like it then... I'll bring him and ask him to sign. Then he responds "you don't understand he has to be here...!" I said "so you can't or don't want to give me pricing?" I could tell he wasn't happy, so he stood up and got a paper to write and explain the plans. At the end, he wanted me to add the new line and purchase the iPhone. So, I thought to myself, "I guess we don't need my husband's presence/signature after all..." which isn't required to purchase these two, but why? Just why go to the trouble to make someone feel uneasy and pissing her off. It is very frustration when men don't seem to unseat and that lots of women are the ones who run the finances at home. The costumer Service here at AT&T store in Salinas is very bad. We had bought 4 new iPhones, And my dad went to get help setting up his phone. The person that was supposed to help him told him he was supposed to set up the phone alone in the house. And everything my dad asked help in he said is "time consuming". My dad asked to speak to the manager. He was very rude and denied to help set up the phone. In the end my dad told them that he doesn't want the phones because they aren't helping. The manager told him to "Get out and take his service some where else". This is very rude. We have been with AT&T for five years or more and every time we buy new phones we get help to set them up. read more

Awful uneducated people work here!!! I'll start by saying my family has been with AT&T for 21 years, we had it when it was Cingular! So My sister and I went in there on mother's day. They were having a buy one get one free phone. The first time going in the girl was really rude and told us we didn't qualify for the deal of the phone then another girl with red hair (unknown of her name since she used another on our receipt) I do know she works at the Santa Cruz location as well. She helped us out and told us we can totally get the free phone since one of us were due for an upgrade we can get the free phone we just had to open another line for $10 and she told us under the table that a lot of people will delete the other phone line shortly after and we can do that too. She talked us into the iPhone Xs Max because the other one had bad reviews and she said it's a good deal since one will be free. My sister and I were thankful for her helping us out and thought it was awesome she was able to give us this deal, unlike the other girl who was unable too... So we thought!! when our first bill rolled around it was outrageous!! We were like what the heck so we called and spoke to the manager Arika and even went into the store to find out that the extra phone line that was added that was supposed to be $10 was actually $20 plus tax it's $36 every month! And my "free" phone is not actually free it's $350!! And they were no help to us whatsoever they spoke with the girl that originally sold us the phones and they wanna say that we were aware of these charges and she informed us on it all which is not true otherwise we would have never done this. Now I am paying for this extra line and they say they can not cancel this line and basically tough shit about everything.. we feel robbed and are stuck with this outrageous phone bill every month. My company has been a long time Verizon customer. After carefully considering all our options we decided to jump to ATT. From Danny (business rep) to Mariano and Israel (store managers) and Javi...... the amount of hours they invested in over 3 days to port all our lines over, get the plan together, figure out the current trade in values, order our different cell phones, and just the craziness of corporate paperwork ........ The Co. I work for just switched Verizon to AT&T and I was told to go in to a store to transfer my information to my new phone. I was greeted very friendly and was checked in. I then waited about 20 min for them to assist me. I noticed that employees are very friendly but managers gather up on a what seems a cube laugh and chat and don't bother to help.
