I've been a customer of tmobile for about 7 or 8 years and I've never had an issue with the company until this time. I went in on a Sunday afternoon because I figured they wouldn't be busy because of the location and because of the day. I was going in to get the galaxy note 3. There was an associate near the front of the store who was assisting another customer, but she managed to greet me, which was nice. I walked up to the front counter and once I got there, it all went downhill. The kid who was supposed to be "assisting" me was too busy texting and gossiping with another one of her coworkers while I waited in front. I'm about 3 weeks late but I felt the need to you know Vent. So I was in desperate need of a charge, and the only tmobile to my knowledge that was going in my direction had a horrible list. This list was made for all customers to put their names on it and wait, I ended up waiting 15 minutes for a charger. I am not going to lie I complain the whole 15 minutes and they did discount my purchase, but I was listening to other people's orders some people had been waiting 15 20 30 minutes for phones and once their turns came up it took the sales rep 2 minutes to tell them they didn't have it. I told them the list was ineffective. All it allowed was for the employees to move slow and not have to engage in actually helping people and you SHOWING ACTUAL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Here is a list of what that list should have been for: -New contracts -phone update -plan updates -phone switches You know stuff that you know without a doubt would have take more then 5 minutes to finish a transaction. I go to get my bucket for Halloween at this location I go in the girl in front is nice and tells me to go up front. I walk up there and I see like 5 of your employees just standing around talking then start looking at me all mad . Contrary to all of the poor reviews for this T-Mobile location, my family and I had a wonderful experience. We were changing our contract from another carrier to T-Mobile and were setting up multiple plans. With the help of the manager, Monique, and another T-Mobile employee with a broken hand they were able to set us up. It did take a lot of time because we had a variety of requests and needed clarification, but they provided wonderful customer service. Two members were wanting to swap out their phones for upgrades, but we could not apply both promotions. They talked us through the pros and cons, plus what would be the best deal. If I could give no stars I would. Their customer service is terrible! I purchased an iPhone 11 & the device had no battery life & devices aren't suppose to be dead when you take them out of the box. I went home & noticed how hot the iPhone was getting & how long it was taking for the battery to charge. Even on Airplane Mode the battery wouldn't charge. I went back for help to potentially get an exchange & they wouldn't help. The manager Andrew wouldn't come out from the back to help nor to answer any of my questions. A few minutes after he walks out & as I call his name he ignores me! I got my money back & went to another T-Mobile. This place sucks. Here's my story. Came in for the T Mobile Tuesday when they were giving out scarves to pick out a free scarf a few months back. When picking up my free scarf, the salesperson asked me if I wanted to add a tablet to my line for $49 bucks or something like that. This is the lesson learned. If it's too good to be true, it is. Suspicious, I asked him if there was a recurring charge, and he told me straight faced and lied. It was a crappy Tablet called Alcatel. I didn't need one, necessarily, but I figured if it was serviceable I could use it as a music player for my car. The guy thanked me for my purchase and gave me an additional free scarf. Huh. He seemed nice. He gave me a sim card, and made me fill out a bunch of information. I told him I didn't want a plan on the tablet, because I just planned to use it with wifi, and for non travel use. He said, I just need to wait a month before calling into cancel it. That's what f*cked me over. When I called to cancel the plan, it had exceeded the 2 weeks maximum allotment for returns, and I was tied to a 24 month plan for the tablet. Either that or I pay off the rest of tablet for charges I didn't even know existed. DON'T EVER LET THEM SELL YOU ANYTHING HERE. THEY WILL F*CK OVER FOR A SALE. Called into T-Mobile to dispute the charges, but they said because I bought it from this retail shop, they can do nothing about it. I'm pretty livid. After more than a decade of being a loyal T-Mobile customer, I'm done with their sh*tty sales tactics. The salesman was a young tall lanky african american kid in his 20's that I'm pretty sure was gay. If he still works there I hope he goes to hell for being a liar. DON'T EVER BUY FROM THIS STORE. I went in trying to buy a new phone and decided to get an S7, after they brought the phone out they told me that part of the price was an accessory bundle that included a phone case, screen protector and wireless charger, after they start processing my order they tell me that the bundle is separate and will cost me an additional monthly charge. I say to them that they first said it was included but that it was fine and I would just purchase the phone without the bundle......guess what they say??? .....I'm sorry but you have to get the bundle , all of our phones must be sold with the accessory bundles from now on if you get it by paying the monthly payment.....I thought this was stupid so I think about it for a minute and I then decide to just buy the phone outright, here you go I'll just pay for the phone....guess what they say???? I'm sorry but you can't buy the phone from us!!!! What in the world?????? I went to two other T Mobile authorized stores and they both gave me completely different info from this store. I had great customer service from the T-Mobile business center and at this store location in Monterey Park however the conclusion was "Well I guess I'm screwed and I have to buy another phone AGAIN!!! ." & Per my sales rep: "You don't like the keyboard on your new phone Aristo 5 LG? , sounds like a personal issue" . My Motorolla E5 phone had an extended 360 Protection Plan. I just bought this phone 16 months ago and it completely died. I LOVED the Moto phone and the keyboard. A T-Mobile rep shipped out a replacement Moto phone & within 24 hrs it arrived at the T-Mobile store. My phone could not be replaced because it has a microscopic hairline scratch on the screen which I was not aware of. I'm still paying for the Motorolla phone that does not work !! I had no choice but to buy another damn phone fromT-Mobile. This message is to all T-Mobile customers who are going through financial hardship due to COVID-19 & have lost their jobs and are receiving Gov't financial assistance., Please go to Safe Link WireLess .com and apply for a free phone and use the Gov't phone as a back up in case your T-Mobile phone dies and cannot get it replaced regardless that you have an extended manufacture warranty coverage. She's elderly and has memory problems and ended up getting the wrong phones on accident. I called the store 2 hours after the purchase and they refused to let us exchange the phones without a ridiculous "restocking fee" that no one else in the electronics industry imposes - not Apple, not Best Buy, not Costco, not Target, NO ONE! He kept giving us text book answers and when my mom said we would go in person to discuss it further instead of over the phone, he threatened to call the cops if we came. Are you kidding me? She didn't even acknowledge that we entered the store, after waiting 15 minutes she finally walked away from her customer to grab someone from the back, after arguing back and forth with whomever was in the back about her needing assistance because now there was a line of customers someone appeared! Came in to do an upgrade for my phone a week ago. I was informed they did not have the phone in the store but that they would would be able to send the exact phone I wanted directly to my house! I was also informed about roughly how pong it would take. The representative Junior that assisted me was very friendly and attentive he also offered me some amazing promotions while processing my order. He also answered several questions I had about setting up my device and said if I had and issues I can always return. I am currently happy with my new device. This place is ok depending on what day you go and who is working. I've gone in different days of the week, and the service has always been different. But one sales woman was exceptional UNHELPFUL. Our phone was having problems. Kept freezing, and checking the sd card, and then shutting off. We explained to her that we take out the battery and then put it back in, in order to get the phone to work again. We just wanted to know if it was the phone itself or the cards it used, cuz then we were prepared to buy new sd and sim cards. She clearly wasn't interested in what we were talking about because she kept looking past us. But she asks to see the phone. And what does she do? She removes the battery. Puts it back in. Then says "Well like, it's working now". Are you f'ing kidding me? We stood there for a minute with these dumfounded looks on our faces. She stared back at us too until we laughed. Then she said "Is there anything else I can help you with?". We asked her, politely, if there was any way to tell if the problem was in the cards and not the phone. She said "Oh, no.". I almost couldn't believe how much she didn't help us. But I could have guessed because she spoke like she only had a 3rd grade education and looked like she had more important things on her mind the moment we walked up to the counter. Don't open my brand new phone. Jeez. I know how to set up a phone. Plus they took forever just to set up the payments because their Bluetooth card reader didn't work. They insisted on using the iPad instead of the computer right in front of them. Took a whole 30 minutes just to set up the damn payment. Then she goes ahead and opens the new phone to set it up. They should give you the phone wrapped up and if you need help setting it up they should ask you first. Don't open up something that doesn't belong to you. Ask the customer first. I asked him 3 TIMES if they're were truly free & all 3 times he said yes. I remember telling him I asked him more than once because I didn't want a full charge fee to magically pop up on my monthly bill & just as I called it the charges showed up! Started the process and they sold the phone to someone else, that came way after us, as we were there. After waiting 30 minutes for a decision from the "manager" Ashley, who by the way has the worst attitude and was hiding in the back like a coward, on what was going to happen, they suddenly found another phone. She never came over to apologize, we actually went to the back door to find them because we were left out front waiting so long.
