Went in to pick up a Gizmo I ordered for my child's birthday. 30 minutes later I had to walk out because after multiple attempts, politely, then directly explaining I wanted to get the Gizmo and go. Relentless, then ridiculing me for not accepting their offers. Ended up buying an Apple Watch instead. Worst customer service experience I can remember. read more

Ron Mills, business account manager in the metro area, is an unscrupulous, slick talking man but his supervisor, Reid, (Ron Mills' supervisor), said, "you signed a contract." I simply could not get the transfer code from Xfinity for my paid-off iPhone 13ProMax THAT DAY so Ron said, "let's just swap out a phone for you." I put it on auto pay, and come to find out, I'm stuck with a three-year contract. Two years into it I still owe $1000. I am visually impaired, as I told them at the time - it was obvious. Ron said, "it's the best deal you can get," and his rude boss, Reid, finally getting back to me, belligerently kept saying "you signed a contract." He had no compassion for a mentally and physically impaired senior. If Ron Mills is working at this store that day you want to set up a business account, DON'T, find another location if you want to get a business account. I had previously used a Verizon-approved retailer and had a good experience with them, but when I needed to change from Xfinity back to Verizon (never leaving Verizon again), I went back to an official Verizon facility to do so. Overall, the customer service was great (Both Adam and Rossi), but man, be prepared, the lines are LONG. You definitely want to make an appointment in advance to save yourself a spot, and I had to make 2-3 trips to finalize things. I get it - I'll never change again knowing the time bandwidth. That said, the managers and employees were super helpful and went out of their way to help, despite the long wait. read more

I had a simple request about my billing. I went to the Valais Hts store where an employee told me to do it online and offered no help. The issue could not be resolved on line. After many frustrating steps, I spoke to a live representative. She told me to get certain info and she would call me back. I did; she didn't.I started the complicated process all over to get to a live rep. She was in Jamaica and the background laughter made conversing difficult. To her credit, she claims to have handled my request. I would gladly give details to management, but I doubt they want to spent another minute talking to a customer. This company seems most interested and proficient at collecting your money, not on providing quality customer service. read more

You know, 9 times out of 10, dealing with phone providers or cell phone plans is a pain in the ass, but I've been consistently pleased with this VZN location... They're a full service station, not an "Authorized Retailer" or whatever, so they can ACTUALLY help you with your plan... They're very honest, and very patient and don't seem to be trying to rip you off.. I had to buy an iPhone 5 out-of-contract (OUCH!!!) since I didn't want to lose my unlimited Data plan, and when I went in to buy it, the woman working there was very honest with me that I'd be better off getting it elsewhere (since it would be cheaper) and then bringing it in for activation, etc. I appreciated her input and not taking advantage of me and charging me $649.99 (plus tax) without warning me... I was first in line for the iPhone when it came to Verizon in 2011.. (picture uploaded for proof, WHAT UP?!) and have been a happy customer ever since. BONUS: When I orginally got my iPhone 5, the car charger I bought from them stopped working about 6 months later. I went in, explained, and they just handed me another one, no questions, no charge. He was really informative but not pushy about the extras like phone cases/protection plans/etc. He was super charming but I never felt sold to, and he even held the door for me on the way out. Worst retail experience I can remember in a long time. I went in to buy 2 phones with trade ins. It took over 2 hours to figure out the exact pricing of what we wanted - with multiple trips to the back room to check on something. Finally figured out how to get us a good deal on the phones. Then after all that time we were checking out and getting the phones - and the manager came and said that the computer was acting "stupid" and wouldn't accept the offers that we had been promised all morning. This is my go to Verizon because its closest to me and its not as busy as some. I have run in to get various different chargers, have my phone looked at, and service has always been courteous and prompt. What knocks it out of the ballpark and warrants the five stars, however, is what happened last week. I panic when something is wrong my phone. Not your ordinary run of the mill panic, but the type of panic that if I smoked, I would chain smoke a pack of camels within a few hours from the anxiety of not having my phone 100% well. I cracked my screen REALLY bad! It was not a small crack but it was shattered, yep that's the word...Slivers in your fingers, shattered. it still worked but I could not see well and it was annoying to me. I run into the store with my 4S to switch it out and the gentleman who helped me, I wish I knew his name, immediately helped me and explained that I needed authorization from my employer since it was a corporate account. I run back to my car, immediately call my work contact on the contract, and he,also must have sensed my panic because he calmly told me to go back into the store and let him talk to the Verizon rep. I've got to Holla Out a Big Five stars to Ben at my job too!! Anyhoo....The Verizon Rep worked with my Work Contact, exchanged a few emails authorizing the switch out, and before I knew it, I was on my happy way!!!! Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you! P.S. I also have had a personal account with Verizon for years and have been super happy with the service and coverage so I do not think my superb customer service was due to my account being a Corporate Account. read more

This is an exceptionally good Verizon store. A Corporate store so employees receive excellent training. I recommend it to friends and acquaintances looking for phones, carriers. All staff are very competent ranging to real wizards. Ron has lots of expertise, very encouraging and competent. Giai is a manager who is very knowledgeable. He really went the extra mile to help me resolve a complicated service issue. They're all terrific. Newer employees are diligent. If they haven't got experience on a specific fix yet, they know where to go for the answer. These folks have knowledge, skills and are friendly and gracious. They help you learn. This store is located in the same space previously occupied by Blockbuster. It's also important to note that this store is an official VZW store and not just an authorized retailer. There don't seem to be many in the area, so I'm glad that this one opened up. I went in this morning to take care of a few items regarding my account and the woman who assisted me was very helpful and professional. The location of the store is also very convenient being that it's right near SuperTarget as well as all the other various retail options located in this area. read more

Rude service from one employee, Phil, in particular. Went in the store to switch my phone's info to a friend's old iPhone, a relatively simple task but I still had a few questions. Right away Phil was unhelpful. I was put off by his sarcasm that came across as just rude. He spoke in laymen's terms without any convoluted Verizon jargon which made the experience much less stressful. Terrible customer service. I was personally defrauded and ended up having to pay for two phones when attempting to participate in a buy one get one free program while being told that my free phone would be paid from a $650 gift card which would be delivered later. Never received the card and was told by the manager I must have misunderstood and my option was to pay the early cancellation fee if I was not satisfied. I am aware of other residents who have been misled at this same location. Needless to say they won't screw me again. read more

This Verizon has a manager who is deceitful and plays games, although some of the staff are good. He told me he could not help me and I needed to call Verizon, which was the opposite of what his staff told me. I was standing at a very busy counter but was treated disrespectfully by manager on phone as I did not want to tell my social security # in front of folks who were shoulder to shoulder. The manager on the phone lied about how they could not help me after being Crammed (without my consent they sign you up for services you don't want, can't use...will not tell you why bill is high). They also charged me rates for 2 phones and when I went down to 1 phone...price was the same. This is a place where they are dishonest and disrespectful. I am disabled but they had me stand for over 2 hours as they played verbal games over the phone then in person . I was told that my contract had been up for 6 months yet they now send a bill demanding I pay early termination fees. These foljks are all about the money (a previous Verizon employee working for T Mobile said that "T Mobile wasn't as greedy as Verizon who is happy to trick and lie with no regrets." The manager is not as knowledgable as he pretends but makes up for that with dishonesty. DO NOT TRUST THEM. read more

I have needed to update and change both my phone and plan for some time and dreaded the change. On 1/1/14 I ordered a phone on line but did not receive it due to delivery problems with FED EX. I am a realtor so I needed to have a reliable source of information at all times. I first tried the small modem which worked perfectly with my lap top but the lap top is clumsy in the car to use so decided I needed to get a smaller device for mobile work. Due to the FED EX delivery problem I did not want to order on line again and did want to take a test drive on a variety of equipment. Went to Apple store 1st but of course they did not have discounts like Verizon offers and because the IPad does not have a pen I decided look at android products. I stopped at 2 stores but they did not have a display so went back to the office to check on line for stores that are fully stocked and had the best rating. I found this wonderful store that has everything and wonderful service as well. I think it is a secret because I am a 8 year Verizon customer and just found out that there was a corporate run store! What a difference to the other stores that I used in the past. My sales consultant Desiree was so great in explaining the equipment and getting me discounts! Thank you Verizon for making my dreaded transition into new equipment less painful! The store was a located in a busy area but they had plenty of parking and the drive was fine at 4pm. By the time I checked out they had a 30 minute wait time so if you can avoid the rush hour and Saturdays you should get in and out fast. Thank you Verizon for this store and maybe you should not keep it a secret but build more like it. read more

This afternoon I went to the Verizon store on Ford Parkway in St. Paul to inquire about the transfer of data from old iPhone to the new one I will receive in a few days. I was told that they would charge $20 but it would be free if I went to the corporate headquarters at Hamline & University. I went to my car and phoned the corporate headquarters and the guy on the phone told me that as of last November they stopped doing data transfers and that I needed to go to the Geek Squad at Best Buy where the data transfer would be free. Then the guy said he wasn't going to break their policy for me! I never asked him to! I hang up the phone and went back into the Ford Parkway store and Steve said he referred people to the corporate headquarters recently for data transfers and what the guy on the phone told me couldn't be true. In any case, I will go back to the Ford Parkway Store next week and pay $20 for the data transfer. Not a happy consumer! read more

The only cell phone provider I have ever had is Verizon. Over many years with Verizon I have had some bad experiences with them. I'm not writing about those now, but will just tell you about what just happen. If your a mom, definitely keep reading. I had some voice mail messages saved for more than 10 years. Most were from family members and some really sweet ones from my child when little, as well as, some other important correspondence. Today I contacted Verizon because my voice mail said I had only one saved message. Where did all my messages go? I called Verizon and was told I had to resave them every 21 days and they could not get my messages back. Excuse me?! I have resaved these special message for YEARS and never had a problem. I will not go further into the the technical parts of this but as It was explained to me by Verizon it sounds like every 21 days you have to listen to every message and resave it ever 21 days. So, if you have five cute messages from your child, despite the fact your paying Verizon every monthly for voice mail, you will have to listen to each one of those message and resave them individually ever 21 days and don't hangup in the middle of this or your message will be deleted. What Verizon has taken from me and my family can not be replaced. Once my contract is over with Verizon, I will NEVER do business with them again. read more
