My wife and I had a great experience at T- Mobile in Schaumburg. We have had some older phones and one of the sales agents, ADAM, walked us through all of the promotions and options. We are not very tech Saavy but we were so impressed with the knowledge and expertise from this young man. The entire staff was so kind and all seemed so happy to be at work. They helped us get our phones transferred over and let us continue shopping until finalization. We were very impressed with Adam and how professional he was throughout the whole process. Wise beyond his years and really enjoyed the process. This young man knows how to talk to people and understand what customers needs are. I have been in the business world for 40 years and this 22 year old has the IT factor. Rude sales associate. I was there with my family looking for phone accessory at T-mobile store 2nd floor in Woodsfield mall. It's was T-mobile tap phone and I am not sure which headset to buy so I asked the sales associated. He was crabby and not helpful. He just said "we not carry it". Then I asked if he is not carrying it who else have it. Then he said "look in internet". The way he said it, his face and his tune... We can feel it. It's not polite at all. This place is so slow. I was here on my lunch break for a replacement sim card and all associates were busy. Even though I work in retail, this was horrible service. While 2 associates were helping out, the third was standing and chatting with someone. I understand that it is customer service but there is a line and I'm in a hurry. He saw me and continued doing nothing to finish up so he can help someone else. This was ridiculous and I wasted 15 minutes here waiting for something that the associate spent 2 minutes doing for me. On top of that, he said he was going to charge me when I know that T-Mobile gives one free sim card per line every year. My friend from work and I cruised on over on our lunch hour to T-Mobile Woodfield (the store, not the little kiosk inside the mall) to upgrade her phone. We walk in, and were asked if we needed help with anything..'no, were lookin'....ok. A few minutes later when my friend decided on a phone she wanted some info on, we approach the friendly looking sales guy, but he was too busy with his face buried in a letter in the middle of the store to notice us. We stand in front of him, staring (like 2 feet in front of him). We keep staring. Finally, I go "uh we'd like some info on this phone". He looks up from the letter, as if we had just caused him a major inconvenience and goes "oh, I never get letters, sorry". Hello??!! You have waiting customers!! Anyways, we ask him about the phone and he goes to see if its in stock. Meantime, my friend asks the sales girl about a couple of phones and how the reception is... She asked the girl to be honest, since she had a couple of bad phones in the past. Well, the sales girl looks at us with this face as if she might lose her job if she tells the truth! How is that customer service?? Aren't you supposed to KNOW the products you are selling?!! The sales guy comes out and informs my friend the phone she wants isn't in stock. She asks him to check a couple of other stores, and is told "well- I can't do that I dont have a way to see other store's inventory but I can give you their phone numbers!" Again, is that customer service??????!!! There was only ONE other customer in the store, how long would it have taken for him to call and check!! The only thing he did do was give my friend the phone number to a few stores in her area so SHE could call. Steer clear of this T-Mobile unless you want to be treated like you are a bother. Whenever I go to this T-Mobile to inquire about something it's always so busy that it takes at least 15 minutes until someone can even approach me. For a store with such high traffic, you would hope that they would staff it better. The people that I have talked to have been helpful -- or at least determined to be helpful. I went in because my Blackberry Pearl's trackball was having difficulty rolling, and after about half an hour or so someone was finally able to help me. So as long as you're patient -- it's a pretty reliable place to go. read more

I have to say I've been in this location a ton of times throughout the years. The other day the guy that was helping us was new and very nice, friendly and informational. Wasn't pushy even though my dad wasn't interested in purchasing that day. Another girl was helping him get some info for us too and she was also nice and helpful. Exceptionally slow service Showed up at 2pm on a Monday and there were 2 sales associates busy with customers. Not a big deal until I saw 2 employees come out of the back, chat with each other, then return to the back when there were customers waiting awkwardly for service. Waited 20 min before getting acknowledged (had to approach an employee too busy stapling paper together to help). I sat there and watched 7 different customers stand awkwardly for service but ultimately left. I love this location. Everyone is really nice and helpful. My only annoyance is when the employees try to push products on me that I have zero interest in (like the new Apple Watch). Even after telling them I have no interest, they try to persuade me which ends up being annoying but that's their job so it's not a huge deal. read more

Well trained scammers work at this location. I visited the store to buy a phone only and I didn't wanted to make any kind of changes to my Tmobile account, during the transaction process, i at least asked 5+ times to the sales associate that please don't make any other change in my Tmobile account. He assured me that he will not. I purchased a phone, walked out of the store, 5 minutes later, I received a Tmobile automated message, " welcome to Tmobile JUMP! I went back to this Tmobile corporate location, spoke to sales associate to call the sales associate who helped me buy the phone and surprisingly that sales associate was on lunch break at 7pm central time. I asked for the manager, manager not available, assistant manager showed up, I showed her the text message and instead of appolozing and fixing the problem by removing the feature from the account. She assured me that receiving text message from Tmobile doesn't mean you are enrolled or added a feature in the account. I thanked the assistant manager and walked out of the store. I called Tmobile customer service to make sure i had that feature in my account or not? Tmobile customer service rep said it was added and ten minutes later it was removed. Mistakes happen everyday but this is certainly not a mistake, it was well organized scam which didn't work. Better luck next time on scamming a customer Tmobile corporate store. On top of rude customer service and bad attitude from sales associates. Yelp would not let me save this review without giving it a one star otherwise y'll well aware that this experience deserves no review. Only advise is of course you can shop at this location but make sure to check your Tmobile account for changes you never authorize to make and are made from Tmobile employees at this location without your permission. read more

Poor Customer Service. Selective Persons Practice by employee. This store is rather busy at times. Takes a long time for any "employee" to wait on you only to find out there are no deals or specials, or they are out of stock on advertised promotions. In addition at the end of consumer contracts, as researched T-Mobile store, at this location, was unwilling, nor offered upgrade assistance, to continue service, on a month to month basis. Most importantly, one employee, who has sometimes an ice cream hair style hair style, and sometimes opens the store, has practiced selectiveness, as to only giving promotions, and or deals to those that are liked by this employee. Others have experienced the same selectiveness. Recommendation: Shop another tmobile store, is it is truly the service you desire. Trac, Net 10, and or other non contract service would be more beneficial. read more

This is a franchise location across from Cheese Cake Factory in the JC Penny wing. My wife and I purchased a phone on 6/8 and told Saad that we or I will be back in on Tuesday evening to transfer and activate the phone. I came in on 6/10 and wasn't even greeted by Saad or his coworker. After going to the counter I reminded Saad that we were in on Sunday and needed him to provide the service that he said he could do. He told me that he didn't have a iphone 4 cable and that I need to either come back on another day or go to the other store. He made no effort to help me out and I called him out the fact he made his commission on Sunday and now he doesn't want to help me out. He shrugged his sholders and said,"nothing I can do" This is piss poor effort at best and utterly lazy on his part. I've worked inside Woodfield Mall and he could have easily purchased the cable needed from the Apple store and at best apologize instead of being smug and tell me to go somewhere else. read more
