I really like this salon. I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews. They are always busy, and some of the manicurists are better than others, but I always leave with fantastic looking nails! I have been going to this salon since they opened - not sure, 4 years? One time my manicurist cut one of my cuticles and it bled. I have very bad ingrown toenails on my big toes, and Tina is expert at removing them. I've never had an infection or bleeding after a pedicure. I get both plain and gel nails, and they have a nice large selection of colors. The price is great, and they're always busy - I think unhappy customers must leave reviews more often than happy customers do. read more

I had a terrible experience here and will not be coming back. I booked a gel manicure because the price listed was $35, but when it came time to pay I was charged $53 for the exact same service. What made it even more frustrating was that I heard other customers being charged $35 while I was there. There was no explanation for the price difference, and it felt very misleading. I also asked multiple times for my nails to be cut shorter, but my requests were completely ignored. I left with nails much longer than I wanted. The most concerning part of my visit was the cleanliness. While doing my nails, the technician had what looked like a bite or sore on her arm that she kept scratching and squeezing. I saw what appeared to be pus come out, and she continued touching my hands afterward without washing or sanitizing hers. It was incredibly unsanitary and made me very uncomfortable. If I could give a 0 stars I would. I called around 6:30pm to ask if they had any spots available for a full set of acrylics. They said to be there at 7:15pm. They proceeded to call me back and told me to be there at 8pm because that's the last slot. When you make an appointment, you walk in to expect that to be honored. I did not get a sense of cleanliness when I walked in. There is no communication on the wait time, and I sat for 20 minutes and analyzed the progress throughout the salon and realized this wasn't for me. This salon has customers soaking their feet for over 15 mins as they wait for the next nail technician to be available. I'm not comfortable with that wait personally from my past experiences at other salons. Additionally, I was surprised with their nail polish selection. There was no white nail polish which I've never seen. It's also not typically brands of polish but to each their own preference. I went here a couple years ago and was concerned how long it took for my nails to be done (I only do basic polish pedicures). This salon has changed names multiple times, and honestly, it feels like they're doing it to cover up shady practices. The place is dirty, the tools don't seem properly cleaned, and every time I've gotten a pedicure here, my toes have been in pain for weeks. Something is seriously wrong with how they operate. Even worse, they constantly upcharge--especially if you don't understand what they're saying. It feels like they take advantage of confusion just to get more money out of you. On top of all that, I live down the street from where the workers stay, and I've seen all of them pile into a single van--20+ people every day--and get driven to the salon. It's honestly disturbing and doesn't sit right with me. Unfortunately witnessed a girl in a pedicure chair have her toe cut and bleed at the hands of an older Asian woman who was doing her nails. The female owner pretty much yelled at the customer, saying that's what happens when you have calluses and they try to buff them. The customer left (didn't pay) and waited outside for her friend to finish up. When I was done with my pedicure, the male owner was telling other customers that the girl who got her toe cut was "dirty," and that's why she bled. I reported that to the girls outside and they went back in to have words with the owners. Unbelievably rude and unprofessional. I had an appointment booked for 1:00 at this place that everyone RAVES about. I beg to differ! They were horribly overbooked, rude, and patronizing. I had mentioned that I was in a wheelchair and would need some help getting it out of the car for my appointment. When the time came, I was told that was not "a part of their service". Strangers helped me with the chair. When I went to the door, I was told "we don't need your business, go away". I entered the salon anyway to tell the patrons how I was treated. A mother-daughter kept yelling at me that I should be ashamed. I wheeled myself down to Ocean State Job Lot and asked the Manager to please call a nail salon for me and ask if I could come. OSJL was great and most helpful. I love shopping there. I was royally greeted and helped by the great people at O Salon. WORST MANICURE IVE EVER HAD (over 15 years of consistent manicures) The only reason I even tried this place is because I didnt have time to drive 4 hours home to my regular nail salon. I've never left a review before, but this was absolutely baffling. I called and made an appointment for 5:15, and I arrived a few minutes early. I was sat in a chair and ignored silently until 6:00. The vibe was not the friendliest. That's fine; I understand people can be busy, but some communication would be nice. If a customer came in they were "friends" with, they were taken immediately over people who had appointments or had been waiting. To start I had one fake nail on because of a prior broken nail. I asked her to remove that nail and cut the other nails down to that length. The nail was never removed and my old dip powder nail color was still visible and not fully removed when she started putting the new product on. I asked for a dip powder manicure, which I have been getting consistently since I was 15 years old. They do not do dip powder manicures. The proper way to do a dip powder manicure involves a powder base coat, an activator, and repeated coats of dip powder to build up the nail. That is not what they do. What they call a dip powder manicure is an acrylic manicure with dip powder instead of acrylic powder. A base of acrylic is put down and then the thickest blob of dip powder is put on the nail. I could get over a different method if it was done well. My nails are PATCHY and you can see through the color because dip powder is not supposed to be laid on thick. Also, she was not able to shape my nail because of how thick it was ( I did say what shape I wanted prior to her putting any product on). She dremeled so much and continuously went over the underside of my nail that my nail is extremely thin now. I have never walked out of a manicure and my nails literally hurt before. She took the pointed tip dremel attachment and shoved it under my nail and shredded my skin. My actual nail is exposed on the sides of at least 5 of my fingers and the product is see-through on like 4 of my fingers. If the nail isnt exposed there is a large glop of product that looks like it slid to the side and pooled and she didnt clean up the sides. Furthermore, she did not clean up the edges and they are incredibly sharp, not on the corners but on the edges. so it catches on threads of clothes. Finally, their prices say 38 for dip powder, with upcharges possible. I was charged 54 dollars with no explanation for why it was extra. I did not get a set of tips only 1 fake nail for a broken one and I can imagine that 1 fake nail would cost that much of a difference. I will be calling the salon tomorrow and seeing if anything can be done. Realistically I would like them to just remove the monstrosity on my nails and if they were kind give me my money back so I can get a proper manicure somewhere else. read more

I was in a rush, so I stopped at T Nails which I haven't been in years. The woman I had giving me a gel fill ended up slicing my skin in the under portion of my nail with the pointed nail drill. As I'm bleeding, she used acrylic nail glue to put on top of my bleeding wound. Every time I winced about my bleeding finger, she'd look at me like I was overreacting. Left with a bloody thumb and pain. Unacceptable. At least use an antiseptic to stop the wound, not acrylic nail glue. read more

I left in tears. It took me so so long to pick out the color I wanted while I waited to get a full set, and when I finally got my nails on I was asked something about gel or dip - I felt so bad I couldn't understand so I said it didn't matter. I thought it was about what type of material the nails would be, not affecting what I wanted done as far as color. So the color I picked from the wall was taken away and colored powder acrylic or gel (I think) was used on my nails. After much miscommunication I ended up with a color I don't like. Then as the tech was shaping my nails I noticed one was crooked, so I asked her to fix it. I said "this one looks a little crooked." She then looked at someone behind me and they started laughing like I was being difficult or something as she barely tried to fix the problem. I'm sorry I have a hard time understanding whatever accent they have there, but that's no reason to be treated like that as a customer. I could barely hear her through the mask and glass separating us. The lengths and shape are uneven, and she was rough with me. I have had nails botched before, but this was the last time I will ever come to this place. It's not even the worst set I've had put on, but I'm so tired of not being able to communicate! My sister and I came in for gel manicure and pedicure. I have my nails done regularly and I am on vacation here so I am very familiar with the service that is normal. 21/2 hours later they are still painting my toenails. The techs moved so slowly it was painful at times. While they have you sign in, they repeatedly took people out of order ( and these were not folks with appts). It was very frustrating to pick colors and both my sister and I ended up very unhappy with our colors. We both asked to match and they ignored us. The polish bottles were in no particular order and everything just seemed old and worn out. Overall the salon was dirty and old. The woman who did my sisters nails cut her cuticle so badly that it took forever to stop bleeding. The young woman who did my nails spoke absolutely no English and no one stepped in to translate.
