I was looking on yelp for a new nail place and this one had good reviews. I decided to book an appointment for the following day at 1:30. When I arrived, she told me that my appointment was scheduled for the next day at 1:30. Even though there was a mix up, she was still able to accommodate my appointment which I appreciated. The staff was very nice, and it was a very quiet place. Fiona did my nails and she did amazing. She really paid attention to detail and shaped my nails perfectly. I got a new acrylic set with french tips. The tips came out perfectly even. The prices were standard, but the service was great. They have a cash discount for over $50 where you get $2 off as well. My total came to $68. If you are looking for a new nail place that's not too crowded, great service and a great finished product this is the place to go! My first time going to this nail salon because of the positive reviews. I arrived early before they opened to avoid the normal rush/crowds. The staff was pleasant and courteous. All I needed was a basic manicure with clear polish. The nail tech who helped me was gentle and did a great job. I will definitely go back again and request more than a basic manicure. Had an important interview sprung on me last minute and my nails were horrendous! Called the shop and asked if I could get sns done with only 30 mins to close and surprisingly they said yes. The shop is clean. They take your temperature once you walk in and you must wash your hands for 20 seconds before being serviced. Walked in and was immediately serviced. They have ample amounts of sns powders and as always, I was so indecisive. After going back and forth on a few colors, I committed to one after the technician gave her opinion and I have to say, I love this color! The shape is exactly what I was looking for. (6/10/16) Made an appointment with Iris since she was reccommended by my fellow Yelpers. She only had time for manicure, and that went well. I could tell that she was experienced and skilled. I also noticed that she knew and greeted all of her customers by name. Then came pedicure time. That's when things went sideways. A young male employee who's been sitting and observing while everyone else worked came to do my pedicure. When he tried to up-sell the "callous remover" he didn't understand when I said I just want the "regular" pedicure. Then he began buffing all my toe nails and digging the cuticle cutter tips into my skin rather than using them to cut cuticles. I had to stop him a few times from digging. I was trying to be patient, but my nails and cuticles looked worse than when he started. When Iris was done with her client I asked her if she's fix his mess.That included filing my nails again to remove the raggedy edges and cutting the cuticles properly. She obliged. She then worked on repairing the damage and completed the polish. I may give My Nail & Spa another try but will have to be very specific about which technician works on my nails. read more

Messy application on my gel manicure. There were polish all over my cuticles! My nails were filed poorly so I can still feel the roughness on my nail tips. I asked if they could do a nail design and they seemed overwhelmed by the idea so I opted for a single color. There are bubbles in my polish. I needed a place quick and happen to be close by so I choose this spot but really disappointed. I mean as a nail salon you have one job and if you can't get that right maybe we shouldn't be in business. read more

I had been a client is this salon for over 15 years when the owner worked for someone else. When she bought this place I followed her even though I lived 20 minutes away... everyone knows nail salons are a dime a dozen, but she was good so I followed. When I move out of Long Island for a few years I would still show up once In a blue when I came into town... throughout the years always sending customers her way, always talking the place up. Even though her prices were higher then the old salon and no one she hired ever did a good job (iris) the owner was the only one that knew what she was doing. Even when I tried the employees and got a bad polish job, a weak massage, nails cut crooked, and cuts cause they didn't know how to properly cut cuticles I still went back. I moved back into town and attempted to make this my permanent nail place until this happened: I came across her original business card from when the salon first opened ... it had about 6 visits signed by the owner and I had 4 more visits to get a free manicure ... do you believe she had some new point system for a fee manicure so she basically took my card and told me she wasn't honoring it anymore ... I can see doing that to someone you don't know but a customer that has sent all her friends to you and has been coming out of her way to the salon for her years??? read more

This place does not even deserve one star. My skin was cut off by a cuticle cutter and left my finger throbbing. I have multiple pictures of my finger bleeding inside and in front of this place. It wasn't just a little pull too hard. She actually took off some of my skin. They acted unprofessionally and were talking like it was no big deal. But my finger was bleeding really bad. I did not get a manicure and I went home and cleaned my bleeding cut the best I could. My cut was bleeding through bandaids and I had to keep changing them. I have been going to this place for a while and I have had no problems except for my last visit. I had a new girl doing my mani pedi and this place needs to adjust how they train people. My pedicure was going good until she got up to the point where she uses the callous remover. She used it on the bottom of my feet (which is fine) but then she started scrubbing just as hard ON THE SIDES AND TOP OF MY FOOT. That's sensitive skin! It was so bad that I started to bleed and now I have what looks like a blister on the side of my foot. I asked her not to do it on the top of my foot because it hurt, she looked at me oddly, and said okay only to do it again with the other foot, except this time I stopped her before she did any damage. The owner did see it and apologized but I couldn't believe she did that in the first place. I might go back here but only if she isn't working. read more

I've been a customer for years since my son was a few months old. and now he's 7 years old. This is the main reason that I come here. Iris takes her time, always gives you the best service. My nails always look amazing. Iris and her staff treat everyone like family. What I find so impressive is that they know their customers by name. They don't rush you. You don't feel like all they want is your money. Don't get me wrong, I know it's a business but they truly treat everyone with respect and like family.
