I usually get my toes done at a different location with my wife, however last week was different, our regular place was closed and my wife did not need hers done. I found joy nail salon was open and close to home. Very clean looking and organized inside. The fish tank is a nice touch. however, the gentleman there named Michael provided me with the absolute worst pedicure I have ever received. It was very fast and very incomplete as compared to every other salon we have gone to. He did not clean underneath my nails so I needed to request that which seem to anger him and he did it very fast and very rough! One toe hurt for a few days after. I asked that he clean underneath all of the nails however he only did two out of 10. I will never use that salon again, Nor would I recommend it to an enemy! read more

Joy nails deserves more attention, because the owners and all employees are so kind, and always make a point to remember and welcome you! The prices here are very reasonable, especially for the quality of the manicure and the attention that they put on your nails. I consistently get powder manicures here, and I have to say that it is longer lasting than any other powder manicure I have gotten at other nail salons. Definitely leave for some extra time in your schedule for a powder or gel manicure, but its worth it because they really take their time and ensure that you leave with a great manicure! I came back here today and got a powder manicure in a solid color, with a few accented nails using the cat-eye technique. I have been going to Joy nails for over a year now and I can't say more awesome things about the customer experience and quality of work! I'm always greeted at the door when I walk in "Hi Amanda! Nice to see you!". My nails always last 4 weeks ( I get the powder gel french) and I get a cute design every time. I work with my hands A LOT and love that my manicure stays for such a long time. The quality of the service from Michael, John, Joy- everyone is just wonderful. Anyone in the salon who does your nails, does a good job! I was pretty shocked at the few reviews that I read here as they look like one-time off people or possibly competitors....not sure how valid those people's reviews possibly could be. They have a loyal clientele, I get that. Though, I noticed they get preferential treatment. I had requested a spa manicure, for a guy... not really time consuming. I had another friend join me. He got the spa pedicure. He did get in the chair fairly quick. I sat while customer after customer came in, and was treated fairly quick. I had an employee apologize, they did not realize. He is sloppy with his work, does not use his tools only his bin of dirty nail files, talks about you and makes it clear. ( i did cosmo i wanted to know where he went) He will curse at your face clear in another language but wont convert it, balls this boy has. You will leave with air bubbles, polish all over your skin, half painted nails, half filled in nails,& best part - like other reviews- SCAMS YOU AND UPCHARGES FOR EVERYTHING. A fill in - COMMON SENSE - means your nails grew out and need to be cut and filled. He wanted to charge $10 more to cut my nails down to short and square... standard.. no coffin or ballet look no extension no designs basic. $5 for a acrylic nail when i told him no .. use my nail that is long enough to just be covered with powder .... he did what he wanted and there you go .. shocker - upcharge .... he did the worst fill in - some nails were not covered so he filed the sides down so u dont see LMFAOOO and then you see ur previous nail fill in through the new fill in he did. He had to cover it with a base pink - which he had no idea what to do his co worker came & gave a sheer pink b/c she understood ... UP CHARGEEEEE ... i was at a $15 going on $20 upcharge. Not ONCE used the nail machine only to remove the polish in beginning and he relied on his nail filing basket. I took his nail filed and did it myself.. all he did was paint thats it. I walked in clean walked out like a chalk board. $70 is not worth a fill in when you are sloppy, incapable of doing the service, upcharging because thats what you want my nails to look like not what i said .. basic .... and he get's violent. I laughed i paid him what he said on the phone and left. Not what the upcharges he scammed me with. I cant even explain what he did next ... just wasnt nice and very dirty. 40 years of doing nails and he could not do basic wedding - short, square french nails ... that says it all . 9/24/17 Stopped in here on a Sunday morning while waiting for my car to be checked out at Pep Boys next door. I was happy to see that they were open that early on a Sunday morning and that they had 4 starts on Yelp. The price for mani /pedi ($26) was reasonable and the wait wasn't long. The salon is clean and bright. Nana let me have my manicure before pedicure (why does anyone do it in the other order?). She was friendly and welcoming and filed my nails the way I'd asked. Very cheap mani-pedi. It works well for a last minute drop in, and you need a manicure STAT. The polish is diluted and chips easily after a few days. I got my manicure on Tuesday and by Friday, the manicure looks a week old. I love the massage chairs. The service is very good. read more

First time getting my my nails done since the start of the pandemic. They were wonderful, as always. The place was very clean, everyone wore masks, there were 3 people getting their nails done, and they only take appointments. When you enter, you need to use hand sanitizer, get your temperature checked, complete a questionnaire, and have the bottom of your shoes sprayed with alcohol. I'm new in the area and have been coming since October during the pandemic. It is very good. They are cautious, clean and only book with an appointment. There aren't any people because they don't want overcrowding!!! I get a UV gel manicure and a regular pedicure and it's great. They always listen to what I want and are very polite. I don't get my nails done however, Ellen is a master at eyebrows. I travel over an hour for her to do my eyebrows. She always takes about 30 minutes leaving my eyebrows Looking Fierce. So much in fact, that people will comment on them and ask where i got them done. She's an artist and as sweet as can be. I highly recommend her. read more

Wow! I had horrible callus from standing at the pharmacy all day. My feet were just embarrassing. Grace gave my feet new life! They are seriously baby soft. It's like I've never worked a day in my life! She gave me a spa pedicure which included a leg and foot massage and hot stone and even though it was near closing time she really worked hard to make my feet perfect. read more

This place was wonderful! The spa pedicure I got which as $35 was AMAZING. They did such a great job, they put lotion on and then covered my legs in saran wrap, then they put a special lotion on my feet and covered them in saran wrap. They removed my dry skin from my feet, and it was just amazing. The manicure, $8 was great too. They dipped your hands in parafin wax and massaged you and did a great paint and cut job. Then they even give you a back massage! I recommend to all! They even have a frequent client card after 9 manicures, your 10th is free! read more

Cleanliness of salon a major concern of mine and likely yours as well, pleasant atmosphere and the staff is amazing!!!! Prices are comparable to most but selection and the attention to detail you'd expect from much higher priced salons. They opened a second store in Selden NY and since I moved to Suffolk County I go to both as I'm often in Nassau County as well. Crazy, I know to travel the distance, but so worth it!!!! This is the first time I went there and not happy with the service. Why is there some dead skin peeling off after a pedicure? It's a shame. They charged me $25 for a crappy pedicure. The lady who did the pedicure made a comment when I was about to leave " you forgot to tip". That's ridiculous. She also said it loud enough for everyone to hear. the BEST place for eyebrows and nails!! i have been to just about every place in nassau county to find someone to do my eyebrows (im very picky about my brows) and Joy does the most amazing job. i went in there with super thin brows and after 2 appointments my brows look amazing! i will not go anywhere else. they do great pedicures and manicures as well. super friendly and they have a frequent customer card that after a certain amount of visits, you can get a free manicure ( i have also used this to get my eyebrows done free instead) This is my "go to" spot to get purdy :) read more
