Men's restroom was filthy and did not have toilet paper in most of the stalls. Also, most of the soda machines did not work, and the Burger King staff seemed very disjointed and confused on how to perform their jobs. This seems like an old TA and is in desperate need of a remodel. read more

Went in for PM service and some other things and was told there would be a 7hr wait...I waited 8hrs to be informed that they may not get to me until the next day. They already knew that. However instead of being honest and saying that they rather lie to you with hopes of you staying there so that they can count your money as made. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate of one's time. Never again...Don't stop there unless you absolutely have too...and just for shits and giggles I called speedco which is 0.3 miles away, at 9pm...they got me in and out within 2hrs...Take your business where your time is respected. 8hr wait for nothing...smh I'll never go there again...The Truth Shall Set You Free!!! read more

Came for the laundry room because a bottle of laundry soap leak from all the altitude changes and it was lying on its side. This is awesome! This place texts you when your machine finishes and you can view the room online! The machines take credit cards as well as quarters. Well... The text thing doesn't work unless you used a credit card I guess. Grrr The flying J here had their company washers tear up so they are running off their laundry room customers by tying up the ones for customers. *UH OH!!! Someone came in and dumped 4 caps of laundry soap in with his load. Gotta hurry up n finish folding and get out of here before the foam monster fills the room! Run Forrest, Run!!!! read more

Overall, not a Bad truck stop, gas station, restaurant + fast food (BK & Taco Bell). Haven't tried the showers but they do have some & laundry machines as well. It is usually clean whenever I've been there, for the most part. Prices are competitive & typically cheaper than the other place near by. But it can be a hit or miss at times so beware. I get that it's likely much to do w/ current times having a lack of & over-worked employees so I don't expect perfection, ever actually regardless but... simple courtesy is not asking a lot. Fortunately most of the employees are helpful, dare I say friendly even... able to speak to you like a regular human being, who don't act put out by the customer asking a mere question like "how much is this item?" However 1 or 2 rotten ones can ruin it for the whole bunch. Or at least my dang good mood. I don't get why people who appear to despise dealing with customers, have a job in customer service. It's not for everybody that's for sure. So Everywhere you go today is hiring & not like it's the only option. I'm Sorry your day seems to suck, thanks for making mine suck now too w/ your bad vibe! It's annoying & offensive, don't care to deal with people like that... they don't gotta kiss butt but dang ya don't gotta be a jerk either. Sorry for my rant but that's my empath truth. Still, I wouldn't want to take it out on the employees who I appreciate & don't deserve it to give a crap rating cause they do make all the difference; never would I go here again if not for those nice people. When I'm traveling, given that I can't always find Maveriks in close proximity to major interstates, I next look for these places, as I dig them. There are usually a couple restaurants - this one has 3, including a sit-down place - and they overall do a great job with selection and various bric-a-brac. This one, for instance, in addition to lots and lots of cold beverages, also had a better than expected toy collection. Access to these is generally easy and they're all pretty well-maintained. No exception here, even accounting for the goofiness of I-80 in this area. Definitely a happy stop and incredibly convenient, as most of them are. read more

So I bought fuel and was ready to shower.. they stated their computer system was down and they could not open the doors... I really don't have an issue with that. The issue I have is directly related to customer service I feel that it should have been posted on the fuel islands that showers were not available. I think customer service is key. I had to go buy a shower at the next door facility... I would have bought fuel there in the first place had I known before hand. Also I find it hard to believe that they can't get the doors open. I hope no one has an emergency in one of their showers. read more
