Our guide, Nick was awesome. I learned more about my phone camera and taking pictures than I could imagine. This was like getting the upper and lower canyon views and was less expensive than up the road but by no means "less" in what they provided. I literally pulled up off the road from the sign I had seen, was able to pay and load a bus last minute. It worked out great. I highly recommend it! Canyon X tour involves a walk down 100 stairs (railroad ties) or the adjacent sandy slope; a guided walk through 2 sections of an amazing and beautiful slot canyon, many photo ops, and a return walk up the stairs (not difficult, and there is a bench 1/2 way if you need a rest). Our guide answered questions about the geology, the historical significance to native Americans, and related topics, but didn't initiate much, nor have a set program of information, and was a bit soft-spoken so I missed some comments. He was good at pointing out the best photo ops and did take several beautiful pictures of each couple or individual. The reservation & waiver process were easy and straightforward. The tour "office" is an outdoor stand, with canopies, ample parking, J-john toilets. Compared to Upper Antelope tour, this was less rushed, more relaxed pace, a little less crowded, and still very impressive. read more

Everything went smoothly from check in till drop us back to the office. We only had to show up about 10 minutes before the jeep starts to the canyon slot. Our tour guide is good and patient. We expected the tour guide would demonstrate how the antelope was formed but it doesn't seem included in the tour. But we enjoy the tour and how they handles many groups/people at the same time. You need to act quickly if you want to take many pictures inside the slot. The groups were a bit larger than the Upper and Lower Antelope Canyons during the pandemic. The views were still excellent, but weren't the iconic views shown in Upper and Lower. Highly recommend this tour company if you are traveling to the area and looking to explore a slot canyon. It has always been on my bucket list to see the famous Antelope Canyon, but since we were booking about 2 weeks in advance, all the actual Antelope Canyon tours were full. Fortunately, we were recommended the Canyon X tours by a friend. We decided to book here and it was the best decision we made all trip! Although this tour does not bring you to the actual Antelope Canyon, it takes you to Canyon X which looks just as cool. Our tour guide, Leo, was amazing. He was very knowledgable with the history of the canyons but also great with taking pictures as he is also a photographer. We definitely got lucky having Leo as our guide! Based on other reviews, it seems like the tour guide you get can really make or break your experience. I did see some groups moving slower than the others. There were a few times we were waiting for the other groups to move before we could explore the area, and other times we felt a little rushed while taking photos. As for the hiking difficulty, it was a pretty easy hike (in my opinion as a moderately fit young adult). At the end of the tour, there are some stairs you have to walk up for about 10 minutes which can be difficult depending on the person. But they do have benches along the way to rest and they let you go at your own pace. A few tips: make sure you are following their time zone! They do not observe daylight savings time. Since we were driving from Las Vegas, to Zion, to Page, we triple checked the time zones to make sure we were on time for the tour. When you book, they will give you a link to the current time in Page, AZ in the confirmation email and I highly recommend you use it to plan out your trip if you are commuting from a different time zone. As of March 2022, face masks are strictly enforced on the tours. They are very transparent about their rules on their website when you book. If you are looking to take photos without a mask, this tour is not for you. Videography of any form is not allowed on the tour. Bags of any kind are not allowed on the tour so pack light and wear something with pockets. All you really need is a camera and water. The 90 minute tour goes by very quickly. The canyon is significantly colder than the rest of the area so dress appropriately! I wish I wore an extra jacket while on the tour (but I also have very low tolerance to the cold). Don't forget to bring cash to tip the tour guide! Overall, I thought this was a great experience and I would recommend it to all my friends! A large group of friends, as well as my family, and I booked this tour, and we were not disappointed in the beauty, history, or legends our Navajo guide, Jordan, shared. The only disappointment was that many in our group were rather loud and oblivious to the fact that this site holds meaning for the Navajo people, and were more interested in selfies than stories. However, Jordan rolled with it and ended up just talking to those of us who listened. My recommendations for this tour would be to wear good hiking shoes, bring cash to tip your guide, and go with a small group or stick close to your guide and ask questions so you get the most out of the experience. You do not need to be super fit to take this tour, but be aware that there are stairs to climb down to get into the canyon and then get back out, so you will get your heart rate up. The descent into the canyon might look intimidating from afar, but trust me when I say it is not--and I'm afraid of heights. Also, the canyons are not so narrow as to evoke anyone's claustrophobia, so don't let that stop you. read more

This review is for Cardiac Canyon: I cried once we got back in the car after the tour from the sheer beauty and intimacy of the experience. This is a family "owned" canyon that has so much history and significance to them and to open it up for us to experience is so meaningful. The tour was 10/10 on all fronts and worth every penny. The canyon was gorgeous to photograph and the guides were able to help us amateurs get some great shots and also took wonderful photos of us. The guides were personable, kind, and answered so many questions and offered lovely and valuable insight and information. We only had 4 guests in total including us and then the 2 guides which made it so easy for us all to share time taking photos and at no point were we ever rushed. If you cannot walk on incline, decline, or navigate ladders or uneven terrain, do not attempt. If you are somewhat agile though, do it. I have been to Antelope Canyon Upper Tour, and can say that unless you want the famous light beam photographs, this canyon is very similar in beauty but much longer and a way better and less crowded experience. I've been wanting to come see these slot canyons for a few years now, and I'm so glad I booked w this company! The tour groups here are much smaller which is nice bc it allows you more time in canyon to ask questions and take pictures without people photobombing the background. Our tour guide was Van. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was also super kind to help everyone in our group take pictures and he knew all the tricks for getting a good picture in the canyon! I made reservations ahead of time, but from what I overheard, it is possible to be added onto a tour if there were any last minute cancellations. Masks are still required here as you are on Navajo land. Please don't come if you can't handle wearing a mask for 1.5 hours. We came across some people who found it difficult to keep their mask on and honestly I find it pretty disrespectful since you are on somebody else's land. read more

Slot Canyons? Yes, and absolutely some of the best around. I have been lucky enough to take this tour into Canyon X twice and each time was a new and fun experience. Upon arrival, you check in and then are promptly escorted to the canyons in vans by the tour guides. We were lucky enough to have Chris as our guide and what a informative and talented guide he was. I really liked that the groups are small so you aren't with so many people and the tour is more personal. Once you reach the slot canyons, you walk down a steep hill to access them. I would recommend supportive walking shoes, athletic shoes or trail shoes to move around in the loose red sand. It is preferable to be in decent shape as you also have to climb back up the hill you ascend. Once you make it down the hill, you walk a little further and enter the first slot canyon. It is deep and extensive but incredibly beautiful. If you separate yourself for a few moments from others, you can actually absorb the peace that the canyon offers. The canyon is long and opens up at the end which offers great views of the rock and canyon formations. So many photo opportunities offered and what I really appreciated was the staff assists you with applying the correct setting to your phone cameras in order to obtain the lighting you need. Chris made a point to play his special flute while we were in the canyon which added another degree of enjoyment to our tour. After this slot canyon, we moved to the second one which totally unique and different from the first one, but still stunning. This canyon offered a view by looking up into the sky through the rocks to see an "X", this is where the canyon received its name from. We received the best tour and service from this company and I can't recommend them enough. I haven't been to the Upper or Lower Canyons yet but I would say Canyon X is by far the best in the area. read more

Great tour for the price! It was split up into two different sections (V and A). The V canyon has more reds in the photos and better lighting, but is shorter in length. The A canyon has more purple colored photos and is more dark in certain areas. The tour did seem crowded at first, but there were multiple tour groups going on and we started off in the shorter canyon. Even with all the people, there are a lot of twists and turns that give you the perfect opportunity to take great photos without others showing up in the backgrounds. We came back to Page as my partner wanted to show me the Lower Antilope slot, which he did not see when he was 9 years earlier in Page. I googled what would be the best agency to use and google brought me upon this agency. I admit I did not read everything in detail, since I wanted to book for eth next day, and we had encountered 3 full hotels upon looking for a hotel, so I thought I needed to make sure to get a reservation. I made a reservation for midday, though would have preferred end of the day, but no slots were available. I received the confirmation, that one I did read and saw this was not the Antilope lower slot, but an X canyon.... I was very disappointed read how I could cancel and then sent straight away a request for cancellation, stipulating that we wanted to visit the lower Antilope. Since we had no answer, we drove 25 minutes to go there I went to the counter, where I was first ignored for a few minutes then I explained why I came and was told they reply to all e-mails, they first could not find my mail and then said I could cancel but would not get any money back because of their 72 hour policy. I said I booked the night before at 21:30 and cancelled 5 minutes later, she said she could not do anything for me. So we decided instead of throwing away the already expensive 117 US dollars we would go. Well we cane, were driven at slow motion to the slots, where we could hardly walk with our 15 Person + group as there were previous groups still in, the second slot was a bit better but all the guide could say was that they had so much work of maintenance and where The best 'photo moments ' were, nothing about the history or so, not a real guide, in my opinion. read more

Antelope Canyon X is an absolutely stunning little gem! I had heard about how crowded the Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon tours get, so I was very happy to come across Canyon X. The tours are small so they are much more intimate and peaceful. We went at 9:00am and our group only had about 12 people or so. The tour guide was great and she helped all of us take photos, taught us all about the history and ownership of the canyons and she was overall very personable. In terms of the tour itself, everyone gets picked up at the parking lot and a driver takes us about 5 minutes into the canyons to meet the tour guide. The tour guide then leads the group down a pretty steep hill to two different canyons. You spend about 45-60 minutes down in the canyons - it is very leisurely and peaceful, not rushed or overcrowded at all. After that, everyone walks back up the hill and then we are taken back to the parking lot. The only strenuous part of the tour is walking back up the hill (think of climbing stairs for 2-3 mins straight). Overall I would highly recommend this tour, it is truly stunning and apparently way less crowded than the others! read more

We took about a 5-10min van drive down to the start of the Canyon. I was lucky enough to have Bambi as a tour guide, she was so happy to be there and share with us her knowledge of the sacredness of the canyon. This last Monday we took a slot canyon tour with Antelope Canyon X by Taadidiin Tours. We had a fantastic time! The first thing we noticed was that the tour company was very organized. At our start time, we were transported smoothly and efficiently by bus to the canyon. The slot canyons were a phenomenal sight to see. Having traveled from the Midwest we had never experienced anything like them. The walk into and out of the canyon was a bit strenuous even for the "easier" tour, with many steps between us and our destination, but this was clearly stated on the website, so not a surprise. We had Isaiah as a tour guide, and he was phenomenal! He was very knowledgeable about the canyons, and was super personable and willing to answer questions. He pointed out the great natural features within the rocks, and took pictures for groups who asked. He even taught us how to adjust our phone camera settings to get better images! We booked the ticket last minute and did not know what to expect. The email we received was very detailed about the requirements along with do's and don't for the tour which was much appreciated so we didn't have to guess about what was allowed. We were also traveling with older people with mobility issues. The crew there was very understanding and provided transportation from the top to the bottom and back up. They were very patient with us as we were slower then the rest. We had plenty of time to take pictures and look around. Our guide Marco was very friendly and knowledgeable. My friend dreamed of going to Antelope Canyon and we came to Arizona specifically to do so. We came to Taadidiin Tours by way of Great West Adventure Co, who drove us up from Sedona in a large van. Our van driver explained to us how this location came to be, and that it was currently much less crowded than Antelope Canyon Upper and Lower which are located on the reservation up the road. We arrived in the middle of the day on a Tuesday and found the place to be virtually deserted compared to the packed parking lots we drove by en route. I've never been to the other places, but from what I can tell it seems like these settings would be significantly more enjoyable with less people. Our original tour included the price of this tour, but we were driven to the canyon in a separate vehicle and acquired an additional tour guide on site. You may want to make sure you have cash on hand to tip your tour guide. It was a hot day, and the terrain is a red sand that is still with me in my socks and shoes over a month later. There are some bathrooms on site and a covered area to wait until its your turn to go. They also sell some merchandise. You can not bring things other than water and a camera/phone (no bags). This is a teeny bit of a hike and was hard for some members of our group to do the uphill on the hot day. They do have the ability to drive you back via ATV if you are struggling. They also offer water bottles at various locations to help you stay hydrated. I really enjoyed the small group and the ability to ask multiple questions of our tour guide. He was able to point out some places owls were living, and tell us about the past flash floods that had come thru the area. Most importantly he was able to help us learn how to use our cameras and phones to get the best pictures of the area. He was able to show us some tricks like having the sand glide off the wall and doing the panoramic shots. It definitely helped me feel like I got more out of the whole experience. read more
