Everyone was super upbeat and positive but also honest with me about the process of doing a cover up. It easy to see the folks at this shop have a wealth of experience they are drawing from. After a few minutes of talking with Zenon, I was very excited and made my appointment to come in a couple days later. Scott ended up working on my tattoo and did a beautiful job! My friend and I went in for tattoos after getting off a cruise. I showed Z some pictures and he gave some great counsel on how to adjust the piece for long term happiness. I went in for a lovely lavender tattoo and my friend got a Hufflepuff hedgehog. Constance took great care of us (and did our tattoos back to back like a trooper). She not only does beautiful work (with a light hand) but she makes sure you're getting what you want and have a great time doing it. I started getting tattoos back in the late 80s. This guy is the best in town bar none. I know everyone says that but he backs it. Check his work against others...even tattooist in this area come to him for work! He's finishing a Japanese cover up some quasi arrogant Junior Mint artist in Brandon started. He kept running me around on price & how long it would take. Zennon is a master at Japanese tattooing along with other styles. He gave me an honest estimate & timeline for completion. As an RN, I can tell you he's surgically sterile both his premises & technique. He has multiple rooms so you get your work done in privacy. Also, he doesn't put up with punk thugs or negative behavior on the premises so you can relax. Females & upper class clientele can rest assured of a great experience. I'm in the process of healing, but will post pics when the healing process is completed. Again, shop anywhere in the world you wish first just make sure you check with Tabernacle Tattoo last. Skillful tattoo artist, however Zenon has a very specific personality. If you consider yourself to have anxiety, shy reserved, quiet or Sensitive, you probably should avoid this place. Zenon is a nice guy but like I said his personality will probably hurt your feelings and make you feel like you are a tiny speck of dust. He might laugh in your face and make you feel like you have no idea what you're talking about, however he will then say some somewhat kind and relatable things. just be prepared to deal with a personality that will be the complete opposite of your own, if you consider yourself be any of the things I listed previously, Might as well just avoid this place if you want to feel completely comfortable and in a safe welcoming environment. Also if you come to the shop with an idea of a color scheme , he's definitely going to tell you that the colors you picked are ugly and will look terrible, he will tell you how you know nothing about color theory and will then say you can only pick one color, and then will most like say whatever you can color your own tattoo, if it looks bad then it looks bad! ‍might want to just protect your energy if you're sensitive and somewhat indecisive. read more

Disagree with they guy that said welcoming for first timers. Tried to get my first tattoo here a few years ago. Basically laughed at me, turned me away and genuinely told me I had a big ego for wanting an arm (not even forearm) tattoo. Got it somewhere else and am still in love! The people down at Los Vegas tattoos have given me my first second and third and couldn't be more welcoming, I'd recommend them for anyone who isn't a male with two full sleeves already. read more

I got a fleur de lis tattoo done by Zenon in July 2015 and loved the experience. He is amazingly talented and worked with me to get a clear understanding of the style I was going for. He chatted with my boyfriend and I for a while before starting the tattoo and made me feel very comfortable throughout the appointment. I will definitely go back for more. So I wanted to get a finger tat and was calling everywhere and the guy who works there, Z, was like "Im the most qualified person in this town to do it" and "I would not want to f#%& up a woman's hand." I got there and he was cool at first but was really off and jumpy like he was skeded or something. It was an awfully painful to get my finger tatted in the first place, but I was thinking "its worth the pain!" I almost passed out half way through but then I saw it and was pretty shocked cuz it looked like absolute shit. He charged me $200 f*&$% dollars and promised the best tat and I was mortified cuz he completely skrewed up my hand. And let me say, Im a mortgage broker and a model, so my looks matter a lot. DO NOT GO TO Z! He scammed me completely. He said he would touch it up for me, but hell no Im not going back. The whole bear is crooked and the ears look like he did it on crack or something. By far, I am so disappointed that I had to write a review cuz people who scam people with permanent ink are terrible. Now I have to drive 4hrs to Miami to get this crap tat fixed so Im not embarrassed to show it. For real, dont trust this guy, just look at my pictures. read more
