Not the same as it used to be. Doubt I'll go back. Not sure what happened, but they don't have the…read moreliquid nitrogen going when you walk in. The ice cream is premade like a normal place. It's not unique anymore. One of the draws of going here was to walk in and see all the liquid nitrogen and making the ice cream. It's just not fun anymore. Also, they served my bubble cone in a plastic cup? That was weird. The inside is also in need of attention. The lighting was dim and it was pretty dirty in there if you stand and look around. It's like it hasn't been deep cleaned in 10 years. There's also no restroom! People seemed nice to us. I won't complain about them. It seems like a lot of kids working, to be expected. It's basically a fast food ice cream chain so what can be expected. The real issue is, they need a manager there running the ship. The crew was all over the place when I was there. They kept looking at the order receipts, running around chaotically. Asking each other questions etc. I think they need a boss or someone there that can help the crew out with direction. I think lack of management was the issue. I recommend spending your money elsewhere. Go find a mom and pop place nearby. This place is just not as "cool" as it once was.

This place should replace "Milk" with "I don't want your business"…read more They have ok milkshakes when they actually have milk in stock but for the last 3 times I have gone; they have been out of milk. At the very least, this is somewhat negligent for a place calling itself milkcraft. Also... checked the reviews for the last year. Ton of 1 stars and it's been somewhat cathartic watching the owner's account argue with each of the different reviewers in the comments portion. Here's hoping that the next ice cream business that replaces this one carries more of its main product in stock.

When you were growing up, was there a place you dreamed your parents would take you for a treat?…read moreWhen you got a little bit older and had a few bucks in your pocket, was there a shop you and your friends would bike to and buy a little slice or scoop of heaven? What about that perfect first date location in high school? Or the place your crew would meet up after you got off shift or after a game to replay the memories? Was there a place where a holiday season couldn't "officially begin" without a stop there to grab some coffee, a box of cider donuts, a Christmas tree, or just a place to sit and catch your breath? Plaskos is all of those places for all of those feels and all of those moments. The fare is top notch, and the staff is warm, familiar and welcoming. It's Americana. It's home. It's the last place you went the night before you left for college, and ordered a large S'mores ice cream with toppings, and drank in the summer sights and sounds in their yard on a picnic table, and the first place you went back to over Christmas vacation. There are lots of ice cream stores. But Plaskos is that one place that makes you feel like you just walked into your grandparents kitchen and they have all of your favorites waiting for you, and they are just as happy to see you as you are to see them. People don't just go to Plaskos because it's an ice cream store or cafe, even thought their home made ice cream and creative flavors taste like nothing you've had before, and their coffee makes you close your eyes and wonder where this has been all of your life. People go to Plaskos because it's tradition. It's who New Englanders are. It's Bean boots in the rain, leaning on a rake and talking over a fence to the neighbor on a fall day, or shoveling a driveway to help someone in need because it's the right thing to do. Plaskos isn't just ice cream or coffee. It's us.

Some of the best ice cream I've ever had. The selection is excellent. Some unique flavors…read more Definitely a very popular place. Outdoor seating. And they also serve coffee. Definitely worth the trip. If you're in the area.

Freezing moo has tons of flavor combinations which can be a bit daunting at first. We got the chocolate cherry and green tea lychee which were both delicious. It looks like they only offer one size, which is $7.50 and includes three toppings. This is a more expensive experience but worth it. The staff here is very friendly and pay attention to the customers and are willing to explain this unique ice cream process for people trying this for the first time. One of the employees explained that this is a chain that started out in Kansas but this is their first Connecticut location. Hoping they are able to expand!

We always pass by Main Street Creamery but today we finally stopped in because my 10 year old…read moredecided it was time to try something new to us, and let's be honest, she usually calls the shots when ice cream is involved! We were greeted with quick, friendly service. My daughter was thrilled with her waffle bowl (though to be fair, she's pretty easy to please when sugar is involved). I didn't want to look at the menu, so I stuck with a classic vanilla on a sugar cone simple and generously scooped. The prices are super reasonable, and they even have a little enclosed patio to enjoy your treat if you want to linger. Truth be told, I don't care for ice cream much, but seeing my kid so happy made the stop totally worth it. She gives it two thumbs up and that's all that really matters!

Although there was a line, it also moved quickly! From traditional scoops, to loaded banana splits, milkshakes and even nostalgic ice cream truck favorites I was impressed with the wide selection offered. The outdoor seating made for a vibrant and fun experience for an ice cream shop and we could tell there were many regulars in the crowd. We all enjoyed our cones and it's awesome to know this great spot is on the area.
