1st visit was great, service, food (curry), and atmosphere served up at competitive prices. Mother's Day for two came with a price tag of $141 for a buffet. A 20% service fee was an add on to a waitress that just brought us drinks with refills requested. We, your customers did not have an option what to give based on service received. Bad business. Like I said, good job, under standard meal offerings, but your buffet was out of touch from a pricing standpoint on what value was received vs the service offered. read more

Great red curry! I stopped in for lunch and it was nice and quiet. I ordered the red curry and it was really good. The spring rolls were terribly greasy. I had to soak the oil out with a napkin and no-so I left them. I also got a minuscule ball of white rice unlike other places. I think ever since covid so many places have cut corners. read more

I have lived and eaten Thai food in Pinehurst NC, Seattle Wa, Chapel Hill NC, Winston Salem NC, and Roanoke Va and "The Table On The Green" has excellent Thai dishes. Service was great as well. Be very cautious bantering the term "very hot" when ordering Thai dishes at Table on the Green. They are truly capable of blowing the top of your head off with a casual boost to the server of your spice tolerance. Man this dish of Thai hot noodles with shrimp was painful! Loved having a cold beer to cool down but dairy is the only true recourse. Loved the reaction of my dinner partners as they watched me perspire and stifle my coughing. Tonight's things were NOT on at Table on the Green! Fresh Shrimp Roll wasn't wrapped tight. Calamari was awful- sent it back! Came in as a single. And was told to sit anywhere. So I did! Others came got menu's water & service. Finally, I went to the bar and asked if there was a secret on how to get waited on there? There was plenty of waitstaff on..but it was like-- this was not my night to be here! So disappointing. Not sure I'll go back. We love coming to Table on The Green. The Thai food is so delicious and their pad Thai is the best I have ever had. Their rice paper rolls are so good, I could eat a dozen with peanut sauce. It was St. Patrick's weekend and they offered Corned Beef and Cabbage, which my Irish husband ordered. It was outstanding. We were recommended this place from a local who played golf with my husband. We had a party of 5 which we called and obtained a 6 PM reservation for a Friday night. We arrived and found one table occupied in the bar area and one in the dining area. We were sat in the most farthest table from the windows which we thought we would be seated near. Okay very back of empty restaurant seems weird but we will go with it. Very quiet and no ambiance so we put our own music on from our phones. Took the wait staff almost 15 minutes to even check in on us and order drinks. The wait staff seemed very disinterested and didn't pay attention to detail for sure. Having said that the food was decent and we all liked our dishes but agreed we wouldn't come back again. I came in for lunch after a gruesome 9-hole venture at the luscious Midland Country Club. I did not have much of an appetite; I was in a terrible mood after snapping my 5 iron on the 7th hole after dropping one into a poor woman's sunroof. That being said, I ordered a small pad thai with a banana on the side. I quietly waited as my food was being prepared. After a mediocre 30 minute wait it arrived. The pad thai was decent, but it did not seem as though this was prepared by a true Thai tongue. Remember the banana I got on the side? You all know I don't praise unless it is worth it and I kid you not when I say that this place has one of the best Thai red curries I've ever had. I was kinda freaked out because Table OTG is on a golf course and I expected to walk in and have a club sandwich amongst white old people. The white old people were there and they were tying one on with Thai. The server was so sweet and had a great personality, he even showed me the dinner menu which sounds heavenly. From now on, when I'm in this town, I'm heading straight for TOTG. The lunch special was around $10.00 and it even came with a spring roll and a salad. I went here with a few friends from work and I have to say this is the worst place I've dined at within the Pinehurst area. First off the beverages were awful. The sweet tea tasted as if coffee or hot chocolate was brewed in the same machine and wasn't cleaned beforehand. I had the shrimp cashew and I thought this was the worst representation of a Thai dish. The rice definitely wasn't jasmine which was disappointing. The sauce tasted more of teriyaki and didn't pair well with the poorly cooked shrimp. I will be sure not to return here for any reason and those within my party feel the same way. read more

This was previously a "go-to" spot for the best kept secret in Thai food for this area. We have been going here for nearly 6 years. Evidently they are under new ownership, where the food and service do not compare. We waited over 15 minutes for drinks and well over an hour for our food after that. With only 3 tables seated this is really unexpected and unacceptable. We had 5 Thai dishes with 2 people served and finished eating before the 3rd dish came out. The last 2 dishes came out more than 5 minutes thereafter. The flavor was less than expected and had no heat. So very disappointed in this dinner and will not be returning. read more

Well I visit here often to pick up something to take home and truly enjoy the food. Food has always been consistent . This particular time we were invited to eat with my mother and father in law so there is 6 of us. Here is the mess up. We had 3 people order the same thing. One with white rice 2 with fried. 1 of the fried. Wanted hers a little Spicy amd here now lays the problem. You can not have kids wait tables as you get childish things happen. People that delivered the food could not tell what they have. I should never have to have a staff come up and say who had this or who had that. As you deliver the food you should know what you have and where it goes. You should know if this is the spicy dish or not. You should not take the food back and fourth to the kitchen. You need to know proper service of served from the left pick up from the right. Sevice should not hey a 1. Food should have 4 star. Please get better read more

The American food is generally not what I come for, because the small number of Thai dishes they do have are very good, I would describe it as a hidden gem for a small selection of Thai food. I just realized that although I come here often, I have never written a review. When I read the reviews, I can't believe that they are not better than they are. Seems like most of the lower scores are related to the decor and not the food. Sorry guys, but that's not my style! I almost always go here for lunch not supper. Their menu is split between Thai food and American fare. I almost always eat off the Thai menu. I have eaten the Chopped BBQ off the other side and it was great. The Thai food is always good. Nice lunch servings. Great lunch prices. Quick service. Friendly staff. Pretty location. Outdated furnishings? Really! That's your beef? I'll take it where it is, the way it is. Sure, they could remodel and move it from the 80's to the 2010's. Get rid of some blue hairs and bring in a few hipsters. But the prices would double and quality and service would suffer. The world is full of places like that. I hope Table on the Green stays just as it is! Come visit and you will certainly agree. BEST THAI I'VE EVER HAD. Veggies were fresh and meat was tender and so so flavorful. Different sauce choices are always nice so I get a new burst of taste every time! Pad Thai is obviously the most popular but try the red curry with chicken or beef! You won't be disappointed. Had the drunken noodles which are heavenly and the perfect celebratory meal. American food is also pretty nice and they have such delicately cooked salmon. Very large salads. Everything there has such a caring and purposeful touch, from the fresh limes for the pad Thai to the intricate placement of the components of the duck curry. CANNOT say enough about this place. We visit this restaurant about once a month. We love the chicken Pad Thai. We went on Valentine's and I got a DELICIOUS filet mignon! The service is very good, and servers notice when you need a drink refill, are ready to order dessert, or want the bill. Too bad it doesn't seem to get much business week nights. They should put a larger sign at the entrance to the Midland Country Club. Put more lights at the entrance and people will come! We sure will! read more
