Chicken fajitas, order a side of tortillas if you want them.

Good cheap Mexican food. I'd consider it a hole in the wall place, but new and clean.

    Chunky guacamole, chips, and salsa.

I'm so glad that Newnan is lucky enough to have this cafe, and I hope everyone will continue to support it so that it never goes away! I am always thrilled to walk through the door as it's such a comfortable, clean, unique space that never goes out of style.

We were traveling nearby on a recent Saturday and opted to stop in at around noon. There is street parking as well as a large public lot across the street. This space was previously a small Thai restaurant (and I'm sure it had multiple incarnations before that). From what I recall, the layout in the Thai restaurant seemed smaller. They appear to have opened up space so that the dining area is deeper now. There is a dining area up front with a few tables; this area has more natural light from windows. The dining area continues along one wall adjacent to the kitchen, and it is a bit darker there. The overall vibe is 'artsy', with art displayed on the wall (some for sale), creative names for menu items, etc. The shop would fit right in to a small college town. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. We got seated right away and were able to find items we wanted. The menu is not extensive, but it has a decent spread of items that should satisfy most people. I quite liked my BLT and the accompanying chips. The size was right and the bacon was well crisped. They also didn't try too hard with some odd bread or whatever. I like a place that just makes a straight-ahead BLT without trying to make it needlessly 'classy'. My wife liked her chicken salad sandwich okay. The side salad she got was good. Prices were reasonable. They seemed to have an adjoining property called Lune which may be their dinner incarnation. It seems like both restaurants are related and the menu implied that they did serve dinner, but maybe just at Lune (?). FWIW. I would consider returning here for another meal.

I know that several years ago there *was* another Mexican place in the same plaza, but it morphed into an Italian and later an Asian place, so maybe that was the point where this one started (?). There is plenty of parking in the plaza and a side-lot mostly dedicated to this restaurant. We came here for a dinner on a Monday as we had errands to run in Newnan. Somewhat surprisingly, it was quite crowded. There was no wait, but it was mostly full the whole time we were there. With the crowds come noise - if you are looking for a quiet dinner, this is not the venue for you. I don't know if this was normal, but they also had a couple of separate birthdays being celebrated. Both involved a large sparkler-type thing and one involved the staff singing. I'm not complaining, just trying to describe the vibe. And, they have a robot that delivers some of the food. It seemed to have difficulty with navigating some of the aisles, so they may need to give up on it or reconfigure the seating. The menu was a departure from a standard Tex-Mex format. You could choose different meats for your tacos, etc. They had a variety of burritos and enchiladas. They also did offer a small set of combo meals - 2 tacos, rice, and beans. You could still choose alternate tacos for them. I went with that, while my wife opted for a 3-taco platter. We both liked the food and it tasted fresh. Prices seemed a bit higher than other Mexican places. I noticed that wine was $10 per glass also. You can definitely get a quality meal here, but for us it would be a longer drive to pay more for a similar meal that we could have in a quieter venue closer to home. I don't think I'll become a regular here, but it's fine depending on what you're looking for.

Curious Kitchen And Bar - Smash burger with extra grease. Tasty but messy.

After waiting about 15 minutes for our server to show up I flagged down the mater de (SP) and asked what was up. He seemed confused until I told him we were never attended to. He was somewhat apologetic and said he was going to get the same guy as he initially said was going to be our server. Several minutes later the kid showed up and was very apologetic. He explained that it was shift change and he hadn't been told this was his table. I hadn't seen him come out from the back the whole time so I was curious (pun intended) where his 'tables' usually were. Ordered the lobster roll and the wife ordered the smash burger. Great service from then on. Lobster roll was very good even though a bit juicy (drippy) so kind of messy. Nowhere near that of the burger though as it had a very thin bottom bun that was soaked with grease. See pics. The French fries were delicious and perfectly cooked though. Overall, 70.00 with tip for lunch is a bit much for what you get in my humble opinion. The male wait staff is very swishy which doesn't bother me but seems a bit different for this town.

I noted that they recently had moved to a different location closer to Newnan. This venue has hosted several different restaurants in the last 5+ years, including the 2nd incarnation of Mamma Lucia's. We checked it out on a recent Saturday for lunch. The location is about a mile east of I-85 on Hwy 34. It has its own small parking lot, but is also located amongst a maze of small business, a bowling alley, etc. so there should be other parking opportunities if needed. There is a bar area when you enter and IIRC there is a large dining room in the back. However, it was a nice day when we visited so we opted to sit out on their covered patio. Our server was attentive and stopped by when needed. The only minor issue was that their online menu had been more expansive than the one they were currently using (mostly brunch). There were still a variety of dishes, just not quite as many as we'd expected. I wasn't super hungry so I just got a salad. It was large so I didn't leave hungry. I looked at the wines but they seemed pricey, so I skipped that. My wife opted for a brunch platter (eggs / sausage / hashbrowns) and liked it. The food was good. Prices were mid-range. If we go back, I think we'll try it for dinner instead, as we aren't usually huge brunch fans. However, this seemed like a decent choice for a good meal in this area.
