But I was determined. On Friday around 1200, after three attempts, I finally ordered my go-to: the two Chalupa combo with fries and nacho cheese. Been my favorite since discovering Taco Bell in the '90s minus the fries back then and it did not disappoint. Came out fast, hot, and hit the spot. Dining room was packed, bathrooms were clean (huge plus). Funny moment, a kid about 12 walked in with his dad. The kid flew through the kiosk like a pro, while the dad struggled just like me. I'm not going to lie, this Taco Bell & KFC was not the best. However the worker was extremely nice and very patient as I was not sure what I wanted to order yet. She was super friendly and gave me time to look over the menu while waiting so I really appreciated that. The restaurant inside was clean and seemed like the tables were wiped down after each guest. The only problem with this place was the food. My friends nachos were very good but my burrito was burnt. There also wasn't a lot of food inside of it so it looked kinda sad. I'm not too upset with it but I was there looking for something to eat so it was a little disappointing when this Taco Bell wasn't as standard and good as other ones I've been to. It is absolutely not the fault of DoorDash driver regarding the quality and the items of food we receive. I have lived in Carlsbad my entire life. In fact, I made orders without any meat. Twice, the entire order had extra meat. Just to fuck with me. When I pay extra for add on, they are missing as well. This review is in comparison to other Taco Bells as it doesn't seem fair to judge them on food quality. I have been patronizing this location for years and they always seem to deliver the consistency of food I expect and are easy to communicate with. They definitely make an effort to get the order right. Except for the occasional forgetting of the sauce packets I ask for they have gotten my order right every time for the last 10 years. They are also very efficient, I hardly ever have to wait in line more than a couple of patrons. The Taco Bell in the village is the slowest Taco Bell I've ever been to so it's refreshing that they seem to have the efficiency at this location down to a science. He politely suggested the kiosk to order, mentioned the Veggie Burrito was worth it (although he suggested steak added) and he was correct it was surprisingly tasty.
