The health department will get you for ANY little thing that's off, and these folks have a PERFECT SCORE. Had a bad experience here already but gave this another shot tonight....same old nonsense. Showed up at 8, 2 hours before closing and they tell us their system will be down for 20 minutes. We don't have any other plans, so we decide to hang out and wait. When they realize we're waiting, the story changes and now it's not their systems, but they will only be offering KFC for the rest of the night. They're either out of product or don't want to reopen part of their kitchen or whatever the truth is, but they lie and don't want to work. Employees are rude, don't make eye contact or say hi or anything. Orders are always missing condiments on them and food is a falling apart mess. This place is a disgrace after building such a nice looking building and nobody is taking care of it. The women's toilet handle was broken so it couldn't be flushed, no soap in dispenser or it was broken, all tables were dirty and trash cans overflowing, we ordered on the kiosk and a guy called our name and laid our food on the counter and walked away so we had no drinks. Two guys cooking kept looking at us and never said anything. I yelled excuse me and a girl running the drive thru looked at us. She asked what size and handed me a cup but my son got a freezee and she said she had to take an order and went back to to window. I go to get ice and the ice maker was empty or broke. She finally came back with the freeze and put very little ice in my cup. very disappointed! We tried to call the health department but they were closed. To begin, I realized there hasn't been an up-to-date review on this location and I wanted to give my two cents about my experience over the last 6 months. So I will get you guys caught up on why I'm writing a review with such a low score (i would give -5 if I could), as I do my best to keep the positivity and rave about things I love instead of harping down on what I don't. Now for my review.... Over the last six months I come to find that all previous reviews of this restaurant are... entirely true! You will WAIT to get your order, to have your order delivered, and honestly to be acknowledged as a living, breathing, ordering customer ready to spend money on tacos and burritos. Usually, whether summer or fall, you'll wait about 2-5 minutes, sometimes even 7, before someone even comes up to take your order inside. The drive thru is a bit more timely, but also slow and prone to mistakes. The employees will be unfocused, have an attitude, or simply - again- will not acknowledge you are a breathing, living, hungry person ready to make a purchase to aid them in their journey of employment. During the summer I likened this disconnection partially to the staff being made up mostly of high school students, but I see these problem are simply just the morals, values and character THIS Taco Bell wishes to uphold (I've been to some great TB establishments - even the TB Cantina on the Strip in Las Vegas WHICH I HIGHLY RECOMMEND- but in Clayton they do not live up to or seem to care about great customer service and they make it SUPER OBVIOUS). From summer to now, I went occasionally, ensuring I wasn't in a rush because of the wait and other than once, the food is at least hot and match what I ordered. Today, I was craving Taco Bell. I went to order and i found out that the chalupa cravings box was no longer offered- I was hurt and totally thrown off for my order, so I cancelled my Frankenstein of a chalupa cravings box and stepped to the side to think. Another man had a similar problem with ordering, finding that what he was able to do at other TB the young woman at the register told him they could not do here- he too ended up leaving. What happened next was quite remarkable (sarcasm intended)- with other customers still waiting on orders or waiting to make a selection, the young woman at the register leaves, stomping off, to scream the following to her coworkers behind the preparation station "I need a break! These customers are getting on my mother (insert choice words of the highest disrespect in Samuel L. Jackson tone) nerves! I can't do it!" She goes on (no, she did not stop there) to talk about the man that left before me. In this moment, the energy was not what I wanted and I gathered my things to quietly leave, on my way out she begins speaking about ME to her coworkers. All while there is another customer still waiting to be helped. Before going out the door I mentioned to the young woman that I knew what I wanted but it wasn't offered, and hoped she had a blessed day (I am a southerner and we believe in blessing everyone, even those who are mean and disrespectful when they are supposed to be at work and their job at the moment is to take your order). WHAT A WAY TO ENJOY A THURSDAY AFTERNOON! I hope that the franchise owner, and corporate Taco Bell truly get to the bottom of the nasty attitudes, customer disrespect, and slow service that pains this location, as it is the only TB in the Clayton area. My first time in visiting a Taco Bell in quite some time was just the other day and at the Flowers Plantation location in Clayton. Don't think I'll be going back. First off I will say that the food was good and I had no problem with it. My problem is with the prices. Way too expensive. I cringed a little at the $2 per taco price but it only got worse from there. The cantina chicken category has some tasty items but the prices were enough to drive me away. The chicken soft tacos were I think $3.50 each which trumped the $2 taco but the kicker was the cantina chicken burrito. It is made from a small size flour tortilla. Inside is a very very small portion of chicken (about half of what you would expect to fill the tortilla), some shredded cheese, the whatever sauce it is they use for those. $7 for this item. Are you kidding me? If it was $3.50 along with the soft tacos I still might have felt it was a little overpriced. read more

I asked just for 1 box, the cashier then said my total and I told her I had more to add on so I asked for 2 fiesta potatoes and she continued to tell me the total, I then again told her I had more to order so I heard her through the speaker saying "oh my god" and I told her "well can you be patient I told you I had more to ordered" I do not recommend anyone to come here, they are rude and have no patience. read more

Never got my order taken and ended up driving away, upon driving off there's one woman standing at the cashier looking at her phone as I drive off. There was 3 other cars behind me waiting for at least 10 minutes before I decided that this was unacceptable and left. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! Do not eat here! Second time coming to this Taco Bell and was very hesitant before coming back the second time but nothing else was open so I took my chances and wish I wouldn't have. Everything I ordered tasted like it had been ran thru the dishwasher. Service is terrible, everyone always has an attitude. As I called to complain, the manager literally pull the phone away from her ear to tell her crew to shut the f up, no exaggeration. Definitely not operating up to code. This location is horrific. I was one of the cars behind "Z F." four days ago. Remember waiting there late at night for about 15 min before I and many others decided to start leaving. There was no word that it was closed. Unfortunately ZF found out much later than I did. I decided to come by the next night and see if my order would be taken only to find out that the hours on google maps, Apple Maps, and their own website aren't even honored. Some of the worse food that I have eaten here. I live here and would not recommend this place to anyone. I ordered a small chicken box from the menu which it took 20 minutes to get and they had no customers in line inside or outside. Two of the cashiers were talking about their dates and could be heard throughout the place. They were loud and obnoxious and were telling detail information that customers should not hear. With 1 other person in the restaurant it takes 20 to 30 minutes for a 2 meal order which kind of negates the reason for even going to a place like this.
