I got my food, but I had to ask for my drink, when I got it, it was a sprite. When I got home I started to eat my tacos and noticed a burnt, sort of rubbery taste. My steak was burnt. So, apparently I'm gluten for punishment and decided to give this place another try. Big mistake. The drive-thru was wrapped around the building and no one was inside. So we go inside and wait behind two people...for 5 minutes. I assumed they had already been waited on...nope. Finally someone comes around and takes their order and of course there was confusion. Usually my drink which i don't fuss over but this time... was the last straw. This store always has their, "closed" message on at the drive thru even though it's 8:30 pm on a Saturday. They also take so long, only one man was wearing his mask over his mouth (everyone else either didn't have one or it was at their chin...what's the point in wearing a mask if it's not over your mouth!? Clayton TB is the slowest Taco Bell in history. Waited in line for 30 minutes without moving. Left and went to Taco Bell of Garner. Not only did I I have my food in 2 minutes. They had my sauces, straw, and napkins in a nice little baggie. Funny thing was the Blue Ford Truck 2 cars in front of me at Clayton TB was just reaching the window when I passed them going home. Although this KFC / Taco Bell combo is almost always busy, and the line is usually long, it is managed by a Ms. Donna Brown, who goes above and beyond to show customers they are welcome and heard. The food is on par with every other KFC / Taco Bell - and some of the staff are great! Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. Others are rude and lazy. But having an issue with one of the latter and after having brought it to Ms. Brown's attention, she went way beyond what I expected to listen and promise action, in addition to making sure I left happy. We have lived in clayton for 4 years over those four years there are two likely scenarios you will encounter at this Taco Bell, you will either get stuck in the black hole that is the drive through, where you will spend the next thirty minutes wondering why you didn't go inside, or you will get your food get home and realize they got your order completely wrong.
