Self serve fountain drink are available inside. I was able to place my order in a timely manner. The clerk was pleasant. It took a while for me to get my food with multiple people preparing the food and not many patrons ahead of me. It was served hot. I got a little burger, little Fry, and strawberry shake. There is an extra charge for whipped cream on your shake (20 cents). There were a lot of fries left over after eating my burger. The fries ordered here are typically enough to share depending on your appetite. Some of my fries were overcooked. My burger & shake were good. read more

Looks can be deceiving. I was so disappointed in my food. The fries were super salty and not hot. How are they freshly cooked but mediocre warm. The BURGER was trash! I ordered online and received a message "your burger will be ready at 7:20pm" - it's now 8:20 and I still have no burger. All I can get on where my order is from the counter person - " it's back there somewhere." Also the place is filthy , overflowing trash so they can't be used. The trash is from the drink machine means cartridges, so the employees created the full cans. I would say they were short stage but there were 6 people in the kitchen and 1 taking orders when I arrived. Now there are 5 people in kitchen when I left and 1 taking orders. People coming in after me starting to get orders meaning there is an issue with the online system order placement. I don't like giving a 1star but there's not a lesser allowed rating or I would give it. Watching the cooking staff and manager throw items on the floor other than finding a trash can has really been a new experience At 8:31 I received my order. Another gentleman Was trying to complain to the manager about his lack of food. The manager yelled at the man "I don't care!" I appreciate the frustration on the managers part but it was entirely avoidable, and should have been countered with an apology and an explanation. Food was horrible - Fries soggy, ordered large for sharing and did not get as many as you usally do, felt that they were cutting corners on quantities. Considering how much you pay for them it was a dissapointment. Soda machine was missing many of the normal soft drinks, no lemonaides, no cokes. The Diet coke did not have enought flavor - tried diet dr pepper, had the same problem, tried regular dr pepper and again not enough syrup, felt like the settings were turned down to save money. Burger patty size was a joke, again looked like they were cutting sizes to save money - considering how much we had to pay for the meal this was a huge dissapointment. I did an online order as this was my first time visiting this location. The order was simple and stated it would be ready in 7 mins. The location is simple enough to find and there is good parking overall in the area, just a few actually in front of the location. I arrived at the applicable time for pick-up. The inside looked a little challenging with people everywhere. However, I stood under the sign stating pick-up. It took a few mins for someone to realize I was there. The music was a little loud and people were talking loud, so I can see how it would have been hard to realize someone was awaiting their food. Once noticed, my food was provided to me promptly and on my way I went. I ordered a cheeseburger with no bun - in a tray. With the following toppings: Jalapeños Green Peppers Grilled Onions Ketchup Mayo Tomatoes Pickles Lettuce My total with an additional patty was $10. The meat was fresh and hot. Seasoned well. The toppings were fresh as well and to temperature. Nothing was old looking or even warm. I appreciate when food is at the right temperatures! This was my first visit to Five Guys although I've always wanted to . Ordering was very simple, online and in-store. I was acknowledged quickly and my order was taken fast. The employee answered my questions that curious me asked. I ordered a regular burger plus bacon. Had I known , I could've easily been satisfied with the little burger but nooo.... This burger was one of the top 3 I've had! It was so good, hot and fresh! You can order any toppings to your liking! Nicely seasoned! This location has suffered from a steady decline. The franchise is fine, but this location is not the one you want to drop in on. Many employees are poorly trained, unprofessional and dangerously aloof. Sometimes you get someone who just doesn't know any better, sometimes you get someone who obviously hates their job, but obviously made poor decisions that led them to being employed by Five Guys. Management seems to be non-existent, enabling, or in the same boat. It's pretty hard to botch the limited menu here, but they find a way. Oh, they will find a way. The store has been remodeled recently, but it's already pretty trashed and gross -- particularly the bathrooms and the drink station. Maybe things will have improved after this review... and maybe they won't have. read more

Needed a quick lunch while driving through Knightdale, and decided to visit this location of Five Guys. The store was clean with ample seating. The female at the order counter was efficient but not overly friendly. I ordered a cheeseburger with mustard, ketchup and pickles, with a "small" order of fries and a sweet tea. Cost was over $11, which I think is way too much. Granted, Five Guys makes every burger to your custom order and it is indeed a good burger. The fries are thick cut, but not fantastic in taste, and even a small order is way more than one person should eat. I think there are better burger and fries choices out there and at a more reasonable price. read more

Five Guys Burger and Fries only had three guys working when I entered this location earlier this week. After courageously ignoring the peanut products in use alert in the form of a 12 square inch sign on the entry door, I entered his building of beef which promised me burgers well done but juicy. I indulged in a regular burger with cheese, bacon, onion, ketchup and mustard. That's how I like it, though you can choose from other accoutrements like grilled onions, mushrooms etc... They present a simple menu of regular burgers and little burgers. This is a misnomer as little means a single one-quarter pound pattie and regular is 2-quarter pound patties. My regular bacon cheeseburger with regular fries ( there is no smaller option for the fries which were served in a 12oz Styrofoam cup overflowing into the bag ) cost almost $9.00 sans drink. The employee who worked the counter explained the menu's options and offered me a cup for water. He gets a star just for that unexpected pleasantry. The food...how was it you ask? The fries were made from fresh unskinned Idaho potatoes. The serving size was equal to two large portions that I could not possibly finish alone. The fries were fresh and tasty though not cooked to the crispness I prefer. Now to the meat of the review...the Five Guys burger. The roll was superior to fast food chain material. It was nicely baked with a fresh chewiness with an emerging sweetness on the tongue as the initial stages of digestion broke carbs to sugars. ( Mastication is good for you.) The burgers were cooked to a well-done juiciness as promised. The requested toppings applied in proper amounts. The burgers were...drum roll please...good. Let's not kid anyone, this is still fast food. Despite such, this remains fast food at sit down service prices. To compound matters, the annoying Tip jar was very prominent on the counter and I succumbed. When competitors can pump out a similar product for half the price, Five Guys will remain a destination less frequented. They are good but not great enough to completely convince me to be a regular customer. The $9.00 I spent would be better spent at a local tavern or to prepare burgers and fries in my back yard for about $3.00. My gripe is about value, not solely quality. read more

So the place is decorated with signs about how awesome they are. How everyone thinks they are the best. In Washington DC. They also think politicians are cool as well. That should color how easily swayed the people around the DC area are. Not to say there burgers are bad. They're quite good. But they aren't the second coming of burgerdom. I've had awesome burgers and I've had good ones. I've had the nastyest things on earth. They are a little pricey for no more than you get in the fry dept too. They are good fresh cut fries but they charge a lot for maybe a potato worth. Place has gone down hill. My family of 4 and I usually place an order once a week online to pick up. I have rarely had an issue, and never felt the need to complain until tonight. I went in and told them I was there as soon as I could get their attention. I could see they were short and figured it would be a little later, however 7 people came in placed orders and left (some with larger orders than mine) before I got them managers attention. He never gave any form of apology, callously disregarded my concern & said they were busy and it was taking longer (almost an hour at this point), offered nothing but to point to the store number if I wanted to complain. read more

I like 5-Guys. Their food is fresh and very good. The fries aren't my favorite but dang, they give you a bunch of them! I eat about 5 fries in a meal so that's a waste on me. Even my husband who is a big eater can't touch the amount of fries they give you. I like that you can completely customize your burger and make it exactly what you want. But do they have to be so expensive? Couldn't they save a little money by giving you less than 3 potatoes worth of fries in one order and shave that off of the price? We pay more at 5-Guys than we do at some of the nicer restaurants for our meal. Including tip. It is good though. I appreciate when fast food locations maintain consistency and this Five Guys is no exception, we found the burgers as good as ever. What we didn't appreciate and will take into account for future visits, was the apathy we experienced during ordering. It's a loud place and adding on a mask only makes communication tougher - it requires effort. We could not understand what was taking so long in line until we got up to place our order...the young lady was purposeful in being soft spoken... she very poorly represents your brand & organization. Your location has many older customers, many experiencing language barriers, and many that may need help with your expanded offerings as condiments...she hurts your business. As we walked away from the register my 10 yr old put it best, "...for $40, she could at least act like she cared. UPDATE: impressively, the 5Guys Mgr called to apologize, and more importantly let me know that this employee has received some coaching/training - they care enough to respond is impressive, but to help develop their employees...outstanding! I had lunch at the restaurant on capital blvd in Raleigh (cannot find on yelp. I would be embarrassed too). We had a cheeseburger and a hamburger with a small and medium fry an 2 medium drinks. The bill was $36.96!! I could have gotten a full meal at many places for that charge. I assure you it was not that quality. My last time for 5guys. I know they will whine and cry when they close the doors but that's their choice. read more

The food here is great, exactly what I would expect from Five Guys. When ordering it's so loud in there so they can't hear you. The young lady at the counter had to ask me to read the order screen, and when I reminded her I wanted pickles and tomatoes she told me she would write it on the order. She forgot the pickles. Both soda machines had no carbonation. That still wasn't fixed when we left. The bathroom was disgusting. It obviously hadn't been mopped or deep cleaned in a very long time. I went into 5 guys last June and I had a sleep and fall. I fractured my vertebrae and twisted my ankle. Now I have hospital bills racking up and there saying that it's not there fault. There floor was slippery and there was no mop signs up. So therefore I feel that they neglected to keep their floors dry and cleaned. So I feel they should have to pay for my hospital bills. They have replied saying that they are not a fault and now I'm stuck paying thousands of dollars in hospital bills. I'm sorry but I feel that, that is very sad and wrong. I used to go to there restaurants but not anymore. I'm sorry for this post, but I felt I needed to be heard. This is only the beginning, I'm gonna do whatever I need to do to get heard and to let everyone know how 5 guys treat the customers. I lost my job and Everything cause of this. It was already hard enough keeping my job with the virus going around. But I couldn't work for 2 months and know one wants to hold a job that long for anyone. Too much fuss lately about Five Guys so we just had to try. Simple menu - burgers, hot dogs and fries - no more, no less! While I will say the burgers were good and the fries were good the prices were not so good. The same amount could have been spent elsewhere for better food. That will be the deciding factor next time - $30 is quite a bit to spend for a quick, "let's grab a quick bite". Good burgers - we have had better and we have had worse. Can you say, em em goodness? This is a great place for homemade french fries and slice hot dogs. It is hilarious, they serve their hot dogs like us locals serve our burgers, vice versa. Their food is pretty good. WAY OVER PRICED!!!! I went in to try them the second time ever and purchased a large fry, it was outrageous. Drop the five guys to three guys staff and serve some decently priced food. This place, as a chain not so much individual spots, sparks something of that memory when you think of a cheesy, greasy burger and place your eyes on the sign here. Good, back yard, homecooked style burger. Fries are generally good, though not cooked long enough to make them a little crispier. I think by putting salt on hot fries and then letting them steam up in a styrofoam cup does them no good. One annoying thing about this particular location is the nail salon next door. It will be a long time before I come back here. The only reason I gave it a single star is because I can't give it negative or zero stars. First, they got my order wrong and there were several orders that were messed up while I was waiting for mine. My order was taken out so I didn't find the issue till I got home.
