Unfortunately, her experience with the owner/manager is the reason I ultimately required her to quit. One evening, she was waiting for her work shoes to be dropped off after a simple mistake. It delayed her by about 10 minutes. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the owner/manager used foul language toward her and belittled her in front of a crowded restaurant. I did not feel that was an appropriate way to speak to a young employee, especially one who was trying to correct a simple mistake. There were other things that concerned me as well. She was required to pay for a plate that she accidentally broke while working. She also told me that the money customers put into the tip jar was placed into the register at the end of the night rather than being distributed to the employees. It's disappointing because she genuinely enjoyed the job and the people she worked with. I wanted her first job to teach her responsibility and a strong work ethic, but also what a respectful workplace should look like. While the food is very good, based on the way I saw my daughter treated and her experience as an employee, I cannot recommend supporting this restaurant.
