This restaurant has quite a selection of various cuisines: Latin, sushi and Mediterranean. I know... an odd mix but they pull it off. We were drawn to their Latin entrees: trio appetizer with fabulous guacamole, queso dip (made in-house, and we don't really like queso dip but loved this dip) and salsa verde. Even the chips were fabulous on their own. 3-6 pm is happy hour with $4 off appetizers. A deal! We shared chicken enchiladas and a firecracker shrimp taco. All excellent. Fresh ingredients and flavorful. The black beans were excellent. We wanted to linger and watch a World Cup game so we ordered a slice of carrot cake. It was icing-heavy yet was also not too sweet. The candied pecans were a nice touch. We would definitely return. Tab before tip was $53 and we were very full. Located I a cute downtown area steps from the park and waterfront, Blind Owl is a nice date night destination.

Then it's topped with hot ground beef, onions, black olives, green pepper, jalapenos with sour cream and salsa on the side. I think there's some refried beans in there too. This lovely creation rests on a sheet of aluminum foil, so you know it's gonna be good. I'm a sucker for good old sloppy bar food and Motor Cafe fires on all cylinders. Love the overly beer-battered chicken fingers, and garlic parm wings. Good hamburgers. Deep fried oreos too. Salads looked HUGE. There's lots of daily specials and a big old 80's Ritz-like bar too. Prices were very reasonable considering the entrenched inflation all over America. Service was great. Very down to earth people. Tip them good. Keep your expectations in check. Inside it's a cavernous warehouse. Seriously, it's huge like echos in the canyon. So big, your crazy kids could swing in the rafters. If your looking for warm and cozy consider Applebees instead. There's a degree of bowling alley seediness, a touch of carnival, and an air of anxious fun. See the fat people in bad t-shirts, smell the bleach-beer, hear the clunk of distant bowling pins. Taste the beef. This is real America. I love it. Bonus: Architectural remnants of the former Mt. Clemens Drive-In decorate the place. I frequented such for over three decades. Last film I saw there was "Casper The Friendly Ghost" (1995).

I was…read moreexpecting to walk in and get fried or baked lake fish, but to my surprise this place goes for a more tropical theme. Soon as you walk in, you feel like you were transported to a tropical island in the Caribbean. Most of the seafood items consist of lobster, shrimp and mahi. But they also offer burgers, various chicken dishes, and tropical drinks. I was not expecting to like the restaurant this much, but they are a hidden gem. The lobster roll I got came with pineapple coleslaw for $24, which is a pretty good deal for lobster roll. I also asked to have it with a side of chips, which was a good idea as it gave my meal more texture since the lobster rolls are very soft, but delicious nonetheless due to the fact they use Hawaiian rolls for the sandwich bread. I finished my meal with a slice of key lime pie, which was also excellent. The staff here are also very polite and do their best to make sure you are satisfied. 100% worth a visit even if you don't live close to them (no matter what time of year)

The food was awesome- the Cantina bowl is truly amazing. This interaction could have gone really bad, really fast. When I approached the counter, I was asked right away if I was using the app to order. This is what's becoming routine at all of the drive throughs and fast food restaurants. I'm a geek.I was programming computers before most people reading this were a thought in their parents' head.. The first thing that I asked her was the kiosk accessible. It was NOT and #TacoBell, you need to do something about this, pronto. I looked it over. There's some sort of speaker or plate that's supposed to be attached to the kiosk. There is an audio speaker button. But that's not going to help somebody that's blind.I taught blind children my entire life and my daughter died a quadriplegic. That kiosk is not accessible for somebody in a wheelchair or who has blindness or a visual impairment. #TacoBell you need to fix this asap! The five stars are for natalie
