I was a little more excited because for once, in a long time, I could buy dinner. Unfortunately, the hours are incorrect. And what's even more unfortunate, is the woman they answered the phone was unhelpful, rude, wanted to debate and argue over the hours that were showing on my phone. She even said "well, I can send you what I'm looking at and it says closed!" Lady. I'm willing to bet, you're not NEW to customer service, which means, you're just on a high horse. A couple months ago a customer bought my work Trini's Mexican Carry Out for all my work to enjoy. I wasn't at work this day but all my coworkers raved how great the food was. Last Thursday my mom and I decided to get a carry out. She got a micro nacho and a chimichanga while I got street tacos. The wait was 35 minutes but the staff was right on time and very friendly. We ordered ahead over the phone. The portions were pretty huge. My street taco meal had lots of flavor and the rice/beans was in a separate container. The rice has a bit of a garlic flavor and I imagine it isn't for everyone. My meal was $10 and I got two meals out of it. My mom had enough food for more than 3 meals with her chimichanga and micro nacho. The chimichanga was very large and a couple people could easily split it. Loved the food. First time here and it definitely will not be our last. Best Mexican in the area. We had a puffy taco dinner ( there was enough for another meal ). Also had the lunch enchilada special. It also came with rice and beans. All sooo good. They also gave us a container of chips and salsa. The salsa definitely tastes homemade ! Yum! I've been here a couple times and tried their tacos, burritos and quesadillas. The quesadilla was the one I enjoyed the most. This particular visit I got the pork burrito grande. It wasn't bad, but nothing stood out either. Everything was kind of mixed in and cheese was melted on top. I couldn't taste the pork at all with all the other sides that overpowered it. I'll definitely come back as it's only a couple miles from me, but I do hope they simplify some of the menu items. read more

As someone who lives in the ethnic food void of mid michigan, my visits to new Baltimore offer great anticipation for better culinary offerings. Unfortunately Trini's was just "OK." We got chicken fajitas, tostadas, and pork puffy tacos. All meals came with Mexican rice and refried beans. The fajitas were good and had plenty of meat. The puffy tacos were the high point, being tasty and well made. The tostadas (ground beef) weren't as good as Taco Bell, which to me is NOT Mexican food! I understand this is just a carry out place but it was average for its quality. I was really hoping for chili rellenos but they weren't on the menu. The rice was "ok" as were the beans. Service was good, friendly. Note they also charge extra to use your card for payment. I will be more grateful for the bridge area Mexican restaurants the next time I'm able to get there for sure! Just don't expect more than a decent meal and you won't be disappointed. read more

Very happy with my dinner from this little take away place!! I have very high standards for my inexpensive Mexican food...lol...and this place is perfect! The menu is small...but actually there's a lot to pick from. I ordered the two tostada dinner and it was good. Honestly...it really wasn't a tostada...not much in the way of a salad. I'm not complaining...it was delicious. But if your goal is to get a salad...don't get this! But it was good! Dinners come with rice and beans in a separate container...loved that! Chips and salsa were fresh. Four of us got dinner and no one was hungry or disappointed. Portions are a good size and the prices are nice and low. Definitely would order from here again!!! read more

Would love to provide a review of their food but could not even pick up or order a carry out. If you are Covid conscientious this is not a restaurant for you. Cooks had masks worn under their chins. This place is SO GOOD!! I was pleasantly surprised by not only the delicious food but by the friendly people running the place. They are now our go to spot for when we need to fulfill our Mexican food cravings... even the desserts are scrumptious... particularly the Sopapillas! Also the chips are SUPER FRESH and perfectly salted. We've ordered several different things and everything was perfect with everyone's meals. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous and did I mention how delicious everything is? Go treat yourself and tell your friends and family about this spot because I NEED them to be around for many years to come... LOL but very serious. Tried this place for lunch & was really good! The employee who took my order was very friendly & helpful. And all the employees were wearing masks, which was appreciated. I had the Enchilada dinner (double rice because I don't do refried beans) & a Crispa. The enchiladas were really good. I got them w/ chicken & you get three decent sized enchiladas. They were loaded w/ cheese on top (YUM) & the chicken was nicely seasoned. The rice was good also, not dry tasting like mexican rice sometimes can be. I really liked the Crispa too, which I got w/ chicken. Super bummed they don't offer chorizo as a meat, but I'm good w/ what I ordered. Looking forward to trying here again soon. read more

Food has improved significantly since my last review in 2017 so I have upgraded the star count to reflect such. Overall, the usual Mexican staples are well-done here. The white melted cheese on the burritos and nachos is outstanding, rich in taste and quality. However the star of the show is the hard shelled tacos with beef. The corn shell is homemade, thick and crunchy. You get two tacos for $3.50 however on Tuesdays the same taco is 10 for $10.99, a great deal. I would have given them 5 stars but Trini's violated the sacred code of the Taco Gods. They shorted me two full-price tacos on my last order. I paid for 8, they gave me 6. Bummer! Sacriledge! So, we tried again. Lots of locals have been raving and I figured it was worth another try. Not so much. Salsa is spicy but not in a good way. It tastes like a hot spaghetti sauce. ?! Chips were bland, no salt this time. The tortilla soup is still awful. I want so badly to like it, but it's just like a bowl of salsa with big chunks of chicken. The flavor is still good, though. I got a combo this time and the hard taco was really good. I like their ground beef. My enchilada and burrito were also good. Still nothing to write home about and sadly, not good enough to make me come back a third time.
