As we were driving by we saw this restaurant in what appears to be a new business strip, a yoga studio was being built next door. We ordered a few items a la carte - Trini's street tacos, tostadas and sopapillas with honey. All of the ingredients served very fresh, and the portions were generous. The street tacos were made with pork. The shells appeared to be handmade. They wore q pretty tasty, I would venture to say the meat was perhaps a bit under seasoned, and had we not eaten then almost immediately, I think the shells would have been pretty soggy. The tostada was also pretty good. Again, I would say the meat, beef this time, could have used some more seasoning. Very large portions were given and the ingredients were, again, very fresh. The sopapillas with honey were just okay. They were served to as chips with cinnamon, sugar and ginger drizzled over top. They were crispy and fried perfectly. Again, the only thing lacking was seasoning - I think more cinnamon would have really made this dish. Overall I was very happy. I paid about $17, and for the portions I would say that's fair for a la carte pricing. My husband said he would come back if he had a coupon, I think more seasoning would put this place over the top. It would be a great stop after a yoga class ;-) read more

This place is awesome. All these reviews on here just months after they opened aren't even accurate anymore. They've really found their groove and everything taste so great. This place is addicting! I found the rice wasn't that great when they first opened but I just tried it again a couple days ago and it's VERY flavorful. I just got beans and rice by itself today for lunch and ate it in less than a minute! Lol read more

We used to order carry out form here, but no more. During the pandemic, and to this date, Trini's allows customers to gather inside the tiny seating area, without masks, to place their order or wait for their food. They do not comply in any way with the pandemic safety guidelines for restaurants. Lost my business. read more

5/01/20 Thank you for being one of the first restaurants to have all of your employees wear masks when working and when dealing with the public during this COVID19 pandemic. The Mexican Street Tacos and Wet Burrito were still the same great menu items as before except much more expensive. The prices were still within range of other Mexican restaurants. But, unlike other Mexican restaurants, the chips and salsa were not complimentary but cost extra. I was not impressed with the restaurant, though. We were first seated at a table/booth combination and the booth upholstery was totally torn and had been taped and not very well. Very unpleasant, so we moved to a better location. The service was not exceptional even though there were barely any customers. There are a plethora of Mexican restaurants in the area now, so we will be searching for a new one that offers complimentary chips and salsa and nicer ambiance. Las Tortugas Taqueria, you really should have stayed at your last location (even with limited parking), which was so crowded at lunch and dinner time you could barely get a seat.
