We were about to jump on the PA Turnpike in Harrisburg and wanted something to eat before our only choice would be the overpriced, mediocre food at a rest area. There aren't a whole lot of choices on 283 between Rt 30 and the T-pike. If you haven't grabbed something along the way, Taco Bell is your very last chance. We were running late (as usual) so decided to just drive thru. After ordering, we were met with a big smile at the window. We had food in hand even as we were paying. Our food was so fresh that it was almost too hot to eat immediately. We ordered chicken enchilada burritos and a chicken quesadilla to share. The burrito was heavy on beans and rice (it was $2 after all) but still decent. The quesadilla is what shined - cheesy, melty with a little burnt cheese on the edges. I wish I would have ordered my own quesadilla and skipped the burrito. I don't set my expectations high for fast food but the Middletown Taco Bell checked all of my boxes. read more

The workers at this place are so rude. I would not recommend dining here under any circumstances. My friends and I just got back from there. When we were ordering the lady was so rude to us. Then once we got our food and drove away we realized that our friend didn't receive anything that she ordered. She called them and asked if she could either get her money back or come get her food and the lady on the phone was not cooperating what so ever and was very rude to her. We went back and asked if we could get our food or money back and they refused even though we had our receipt. I will never be coming back to this Taco Bell . We just traveled 9 hours to the hotel located next door. After such a long drive, we decided to put our bags in the room and take a walk over to this Taco Bell to order through the drive through. This was at 10:00 PM. We checked the windows and doors and saw that they were opened until midnight; we didn't see anything else indicating their hours had changed at the location. We also saw people in the kitchen and we had just seen a car drive through, so our perception was that they were open. We walked to and waited at the ordering screen for a few minutes while politely asking if anyone was there, but heard nothing. So we then walked to the window. I saw a man mopping and figured they had just missed us while cleaning up. We waited, knocked, and nothing happened. Then another lady walked over, we knocked, and nothing happened. Then the lady made eye contact with me, went back to whatever she was doing, and nothing happened. We knocked again bewildered at the lack of response, and they both just shook their heads at each other and kept talking. It was at this point that we fully determined that they had heard us and were just purposely ignoring us. Mind you, both individuals didn't have headphones in and they were mere feet from the window. We weren't able to confirm that the hours had changed until we had left and had a chance to check our recharged phones. Taco Bell may or may not have policies for employees regarding communicating with customers while cleaning after closing. That said, we walked around the drive through and stood in that window looking like idiots for ten minutes, and all the employees had to do was respectfully mouth something like "Closed" through the window so that we could've gone on our way. Back in our previous location, employees would at least keep their mics in and share that the restaurant was closed shortly after hours. This experience was frustrating and unnecessary, and we absolutely have no intention of returning. read more

"I want the NOT Supreme Burrito. Just regular bean burritos - beans wrapped in flour tortilla." "But what we gave you Supremes." "Yes, that's the problem." The entire crew at this Taco Bell gathered to see what kind of person would reject Supreme Burritos and stare in confusion (lightly garnished with contempt) over the whole thing. Cars lined up in the drive-through. Grilled steak sizzled unattended. Life, for the crew, seemed to stop. I have an Enchantment of Insight that I sometimes use to cut through confusion like this, but I wasn't going to waste it on a burrito order. Since the first time I've come to this location, I'm starting to get a vibe that they have slowed down greatly. I mean, since the beginning of last year, I've had either very fast service or very slow service, which since I have rehearsal every Monday night, I usually pick here because of the Baja Blast Mtn. This location is always busy and the staff can be very rude at times. I was at this location yesterday to pick up a delivery order. The door they usually have unlocked was locked so I go back to my vehicle and proceed through the drive-thru, right to the window. Whoever was working the window very rudely tells me that I need to announce myself at the intercom. I calmly tell this young lady that I am there for a delivery and she aggressively responds "IT DOESN'T MATTER! YOU NEED TO ANNOUNCE YOURSELF" so I respond I'm there for a delivery and I'm not going to drive all the way around just to announce myself and she kept on with her nasty attitude. It wasn't until another employee intervened and calmly told me the one door is closed but the other door is open and that I needed to come inside.
