    Delicious steak & lengua tacos
    Branden-Lee B.

While I was in my hometown, I needed a haircut, but I didn't know where to go so I went back to my old roots and I called my Barber from my childhood. We had an appointment set, but he failed to show up this left me devastated however I got online and I looked up another Barber on Booksy and it led me to a barbershop on Derry Street in Harrisburg PA. Being on the street sparked my childhood memories as I remember going to a taco joint on the same street now their spot has been well known for a very long time all around the city so here I am waiting for the Barber to arrive for my appointment eagerly awaiting. I began to have a hunger in my stomach, so I decided to get some tacos and I wasn't disappointed. The space inside was very clean so clean that you could smell the cleanliness in the air. The smell was not a bleach, fabuloso or fresh lavender laundry it just smelled clean on top of delicious food. There's plenty of seating inside of this place TV to keep you entertained and of course it is playing beautiful traditional Mexican music. The staff was friendly and inviting and they also had delicious desserts inside the refrigerator, I got the lengua tacos and also the steak and I must say the tacos were a hard 4.2 out of five I bit a hot pepper and at first it was delicious and then I finished the whole thing along with my last taco and my mouth was on fire which I loved and I enjoyed. It was the hottest pepper I ever had it made me cry with heat in my mouth was on fire with laughter. I highly recommend this place watch out for the hot peppers.

This place has the best authentic tacos you can get anywhere. Took my fiend for the first time ... and he loved his pollo tacos. I got 4, he got 3 ... both were satisfied. The tacos came out fast, served the owner! It's a little chilly during the winter, so add some hot sauce for some extra heat!

This was so good. Authentic Mexican food. We tried the beef/chicken/ and pork tacos as well as rice and beans. Everything was amazing .

These tacos are legit and tastes like the street tacos in California. It was packed in there with people eating and it can be tough to find some parking, but the food is worth it in my opinion. The worker taking my order was super nice. I ordered 4 carne asada tacos and could have had a hundred more! The meat was marinated perfectly and tasted just like home. Be careful of the sauces they give you because it can be very spicy

Very good food and everything is freshly made with love. Definitely appreciated the food and hospitality

Can't tell much from the street but dang! I felt like I walked right into a Puesto de tacos, straight of the streets of Monterrey. Todo olía tan bien. Los tacos eran auténticos y el queso de cabeza era increíble. Sorry. The staff were very friendly and you can buy tacos individually priced. I had tacos de cabeza y tacos de lengua. The were both cooked to perfection just like you would expect street tacos. I will defiantly be back and bringing all my white friends that can't live without Mexican food.

" Holes in the wall" are some of the best places to stop for a bite to eat and Taco Mi Tierra is a perfect example of that. My date and I had a verity of tacos, even a cow tong taco and a quesadilla and all was good. Service was great and there's beautiful Spanish ladies everywhere.

This restaurant has great service, fast and delicious I love the food here. I usually order to go because I like a more homie ambiance but there food is really good. Carne Asada Tacos

Chorizo, Al pastor and barbacoa tacos
    Joe G.

These are the best tacos in Harrisburg! I usually go for the chorizo, Al pastor and barbacoa. They go rid of their self serve bar of fixings so just make sure to ask for whatever sauces you would like.

Two dollar tacos ( from the tripe to carne asada) and you'll also see the 5 dollar steak quesadilla and huge salad!

Tacos were good. Sala super spicy and the food tasted very authentic. Carne asada was borderline dry but I'd definitely return.

Let me just start off by saying the place itself is beautiful, antiqueish like but also gave me Mexican culture to the max. Which I loved. I visited Mexico before so it definitely was nice to see that. Everyone from the host to our server were so nice and friendly. We loved our server, he kept us laughing and was great with his attentiveness to the table. The menu offers a lot! Lol from traditional plates to vegetarian options. I wanted to try something different so I picked the San Jose burrito. A burrito stuffed with chicken, rice, chorizo, beans and topped with a jalapeño cheese sauce.. it was beyond what I expected. It was so flavorful! Loved every bite lol if you come here, I highly recommend. Hubby got the Tacos Del Mar which came with three tacos. 1- shrimp, 1- fried fish & 1-seared fish. His plate came with rice too. Which I think is great for the price and the portion they give you. We also order table side guacamole because you always need to have some gua when you're at Mexican restaurant right?!?!! Lol. Everything was absolutely delicious. Friendly staff , very nice spot. Go check it out if you haven't.

The quesbirria tacos were my favorite, but all of them were delicious! Also, their guacamole tasted super fresh so I would recommend starting off with chips and guacamole. The restaurant has a fun atmosphere with Mexican theme and fun celebrations if it's somebody's birthday. Our waitress was super sweet. She accidentally put in an order for one taco instead of three but immediately went to fix her mistake. I had the Horchata, which was yummy and all of my friends had house or mango margaritas. They were a good size and they all enjoyed it! If you're craving for Mexican, this is a good place to be. And they have many TVs around if you also want to find a spot to watch the games.

Love the ambience and the servers are always very nice. One of our most favorite Mexican restaurant in town. We had our first date in Harrisburg at El Sol so this will always be special to us.

Inside, the vibe is warm and festive: colorful artwork, low-top tables, a lively bar stocked with tequilas, and gorgeous Moravian star lights glowing overhead. The menu is extensive -- everything from tacos and burritos to rice bowls, full entrées, and massive multi-person feasts served in lava rock molcajetes. Most dishes land around $20, or you can snag tacos individually for $5.50. We started with the Mexican Seafood Dip and wow... game changer. Shrimp, bay scallops, crab, and mushrooms all swimming in a red tomatillo sauce, baked under a gooey blanket of cheese, and served with chips. Unlike so many "seafood" dips that are 90% cheese, El Sol delivers with generous amounts of actual seafood. It was piping hot, hearty, and plentiful -- enough that we happily took leftovers home. For mains, I went with a Birria Taco (plus a trusty Diet Coke). Juicy, cheesy, crispy perfection -- I could've polished off three more but restrained myself. Adventure Buddy chose Camarones A La Diabla -- jumbo Gulf shrimp and mushrooms in a three-chile sauce. Bright red, spicy but not overpowering, and loaded with shrimp that were actually jumbo. He was a happy camper. Our total came to $62 with tip, which felt fair for the quality and portions. Service was attentive and friendly, and the noise level low enough for both conversation and even a quick phone call. Parking is the usual downtown Harrisburg scene -- no on-site lot, but free street parking after 5 and garages nearby make it easy enough. Bottom line: great food, colorful atmosphere, and a menu that's begging us to come back. Next time, I'm eyeing one of those lava rock molcajetes.
