Short Review: For some reason, several Taco Bell locations have popped up around the 8th Avenue area recently (I'm not complaining at all). When I was searching for a different location on Yelp, this location popped up--initially I thought it was an error, but in fact, it was correct. The location was extremely clean and because they have several monitors to place your order, you get your found very quickly. I also noticed the prices are much lower than any other Taco Bell I've seen. They even still have chips and nachos on the menu! I'd definitely recommend this location and hope it remains with the high level of service.

Crunchwrap Supreme

We postmated this because it sounded so good. We got Crunchwrap supreme, spicy potato taco and regular tacos with bunch of hot, fire, and Diablo sauces. They provided the exact amount of sauces I requested which was awesome! Everything was made with perfection! Don't forget to ask for a side of chipotle sauce because it's soo good and has a kick to it too!

I lucked out , I was waiting for this new Taco Bell Cantina to open and they do it during a snow storm. Well snow doesn't stop me and check the place out for my review. I don't do Taco Bell often, but one in a while one of there commercials gets to me and I got to go. First thing I notice is rows of Kiosk and I found them quite easy to order from the kiosks. They show you photo after photo of everything they got. All you need is a finger and a card to swipe and you are down. The food came out pretty quickly even if only three people where here due to the storm and I was off to eat. I really like the layout, style of the Cantina as there's plenty of seating and space to stand and wait for your orde, plus the ceilings are quite high to provide an airy type of environment. As for the food, one of the complaints some people had was that it was quite skimpy. But I order a combo Double Chalupa and box and I could barly finish it. And I still found it tasty and for the price of less than $5.49 I could not complain, a Double Chalupa, Crunchy Taco. and cinnamon Twist with a Medium Drink. The place in half a block from the Port Authority Bus Terminal and I plan on checking out the breakfast menu next time I pass by and post an update here.

Beefy fritos burrito (Make it grilled!!!)

Honestly Taco Bell has really stepped up its game lately. I often order some items from the dollar menu here like the chicken quesadilla, spicy potato taco, or beef and bean burrito. They're quite filling and a good value, but most importantly they taste amazing. I sometimes worry that I'm eating a bit too much of this taco bell, but it's pretty addicting. One important tip I have is that you should select to have your burritos grilled because it makes them so much better!

The restaurant was super clean and the staff is very friendly. I was so surprised to see they actually have a dollar menu considering the location, definite plus. The food came out quick and hot. Plenty of electronic kiosks to order your meal with no fuss. I will definitely continue to stop here when I'm in the area! Can't wait until they get their liquor license too!!

Best Food in my opinion on our trip to NYC! Being from Texas of course!! Very ambient dining area they were fast and on point on preparation ! Always check the value meals and Nacho Fries Rocked!

Vomit from nasty Crunchwrap that smelled and tasted like poison/chemicals never in my Life smelled/tasted something so awful!

I was so pleased to see that the quality is amazing and service is exceptional across the board. Be prepared for a line at this location, since it's close to a lot of tourist attractions. Don't let the line intimidate you though, it goes by super fast. Not a lot of space to sit and eat your food, but you'll get the full on Mexican taco stand experience. I recommend at least three tacos if you're hungry. My favorite are the asada tacos and the adobada tacos, but you can't go wrong with anything here. Get your drink there and a slip with your food items on it. Take the slip to the next counter where they prepare it. They're masters at it so they're cranking out a taco probably every 15 to 20 seconds. There's a line of workers operating the grills to get the meat and tortillas ready for the prep guys. So efficient. No seats. You stand and eat which really keeps the turn over rate high. The inside is no frills. Standing room only to eat your tacos and exit. The food is so good. $6 a taco but it's NYC. Love everything about this place and I try to frequent it for a quick bite as often as I can.

We had our usual list of spots in Midtown East, but this time we wanted something a little different. We ultimately landed on Mexican, however even then there were several spots to chose from. One of my colleagues found CdM, and since we had nothing to lose we decided to check it out. In terms of physical space at CdM, there is very little; this is actually a walk-up spot hence it is solely a takeout restaurant. The menu is pretty straightforward - lots of Mexican staples with a good variety to choose from. The burrito bowl looked good so I decided to go with that - I was given choice of protein (I chose pastor) and types of beans (I chose black). The bowl was really good - all the ingredients tasted fresh and they were generous with the portion. They added sour cream to the top of the bowl and it came with a side of salsa verde which I thought was a nice touch. We also ordered some bags of tortilla chips to share - these were my favorite kind as they were semi-thick and super crunchy. Overall, I had a solid experience at Cinco de Mayo. It definitely hit the Mexican craving spot and I would have no qualms returning for another meal.

The birria tacos were really good (or so my son said) but sadly the taquitos were terrible. They literally just had unseasoned shredded chicken (but serves me right for ordering something so basic). The salsa also tasted more like tomato paste than actual salsa. But again, the goal for this stop was a frozen marg(s) and that mission was accomplished and then were good . The atmosphere was also fun and lively and our server was attentive and never tried to push us out the door despite sitting there for a while!

The energy was flat, and that lack of enthusiasm carried right into the food. The menu needs a complete overhaul. I'm not sure if it's trying to be "different," but the taco options were unappealing just from reading the descriptions. I managed to choose the two best-sounding items I could find, and honestly, they were so bland I don't even remember what they were. The setup and decor were basic. This spot could be a fun hangout, but it would take a better menu and staff who actually seem to care. It feels like just another restaurant that's lost sight of creating an actual experience for guests. The lack of vibe is obvious--if you don't want customers, just say so. I'm giving 2 stars out of respect for the fact that people have to work for a living.

I had this place bookmarked for a while. Finally came for my birthday dinner. It was a rainy…read moreevening and I was hoping there'd be umbrella sleeves offered. I didn't see any but saw buckets for umbrellas. I opted not to leave it there since I didn't wanna forget or risk someone taking it. I took it upstairs with me. My friend had arrived and was seated. Apparently, they do offer sleeves because she got one. But the 3 people who were at the hostess booth failed to offer me one. The beautiful ambiance will get your attention immediately. It is a stunning space. The tableware was gorgeous as well. We waited for our last friend to arrive who was almost half an hour late before ordering (we thought she'd arrive sooner). Our server, Matias was gracious about it the whole time. What we ordered: Drinks: Passionfruit Margaritas & Mojito - we were happy with them. Tlayudas, Guacamole y Salsas - this was really good and a great option for the table to share. The homemade chips alone were excellent. Liked all the different dips. Guac could've used some cilantro and more acid/spice. Tán Ceviche - I loved this. Super fresh and great flavor. Could use a touch of acid. My entree was the Shrimp & Crab Enchiladas - This was pretty good. The sauce could've used some spice and some acid to cut through the richness. My friend ordered the Yellow Corn Soup as part of her meal and she did not like it. She said it was too sweet which I thought was strange. I tried a spoonful and I agreed with her. It needed a savory note and again, acid would've done wonders. Also, the crab was a bit fishy in this. She enjoyed her tamal though. I tried a touch of the sauce and it was delish. My other friend had the Quesabirria which she was also happy with. To sum up: Ambiance: 5/5 The space is undoubtedly gorgeous. Food: 4/5 Beautiful presentation on everything but each dish lacks an element or two to make it a home run. Staff: Wait staff 5/5. Downstairs staff (greeters/hostess) 4/5. Needs to be more on point like offering customers sleeves for umbrellas or pointing out the buckets to put them in. At some point through our entrees a group of 3 women were doing a 10-minute photo shoot by the stairway where our table was. Absolutely inappropriate behavior and a manager should've stopped it. Camera flashes all up in our faces while we're eating wasn't cool. Overall, still a great elevated Mexican cuisine option. The slight tweaks would make this a 5 star place for me. I'd return to try more things.

If you are someone who is looking at an aesthetic place, this is a top contender. Unfortunately, I would say this place is better looking than the food is good. The food was fine, appetizers were all fresh but lacked any real depth in flavor. I wasn't too thrilled with the bone marrow I had either (but the tortillas come in the cutest basket). Personally, if it wasn't for the drinks and the space, I cant say this place is worth it - you're not coming here for the food. Another little complaint I have is the women's restroom on the second floor - right by the door is a floor to ceiling mirror which I understand was included to make the space seem bigger, but my friends and I agreed that it is a little misleading - I kept wanting to walk into it thinking there was more space there and not wall. I would recommend maybe putting a decal on it to clearly show its mirror.
