Me and my friends are pretty obsessed with Taco Bell menu items these days, so when I spent the day in NYC and saw there was a Cantina right where I'd be, I knew I had to stop in! And we were absolutely thrilled. Alcoholic Baja Blasts, legendary stuff. The ordering kiosks were relatively typical of most Taco Bells. Simple, easy service, and the staff quickly called out my name. I ordered a Baja Blast with vodka, so they checked my ID and then handed me the drink. Getting a seat took a bit, but I snagged a booth once someone left and was able to enjoy my meal sitting down. There's definitely not enough space for a busy hour like the time I went though (4pm on a Sunday). The food was typical Taco Bell food. The nacho fries obviously delicious, doritos locos taco was great. We did run into some trouble with getting water--it was hard to get ahold of the employees, and then when we did, they told us they could not give us any free water cups. I'm not sure if that's common in NYC, but it was upsetting that we weren't able to get water from this location even after buying a meal and paying. Service was quick but it was difficult to talk to a person, seating was difficult but manageable, no free water, but I got my order accurately and I was thrilled to have a baja blast with vodka. This Taco Bell is located in the heart of Times Square - do with that information what you will. My boyfriend mistakenly ordered Taco Bell here on his mobile app instead of the quiet one we were literally standing in, so I had to do the bob and weave through tourists past a Giant gorilla to get to this location. This place was absolutely mobbed on a Saturday night, I was lucky to grab two seats. There was a long line of folks waiting for their order when I got here. Despite the chaos this Taco Bell was decently clean. The food order came out correctly, I appreciated that there was a ton of sauce packets and napkins filled up at one station so that it was easy to grab what you needed. This is a Taco Bell Cantina, so you can also order beers and alcoholic Baja Blasts if that's your vibe. If you're craving Taco Bell while walking through Times Square, this will do just fine. read more

The world's slowest and most disorganized Taco Bell is right here in Times Square! Every time I come here it takes forever and they always forget my drink. I always need to flag someone down to remind them about my drink after I've already waited an eternity for the food. Ridiculous. read more

I was very sad that the beer machines were not working at the time, the only reason to go to Cantina! Also note that if you are paying cash, you must pay first before they place your order. We waited for about 10 minutes while everyone grabbed their food and then learned this. They do take credit and they have the self service machines for your orders so it normally goes quickly. read more

Impressed at how quick this location moves and the food was actually good! Order online, at the kiosk, or counter. They call out your name when the order is ready vs other locations that also have a monitor with order names. Also, be sure to order your sauce packets when placing the order. There are no buckets of sauce packets out in the open. They keep them behind the counter. I'd prefer them out for me to pick up, but I guess this keep things more organized & clean. My black bean Crunchwrap was pretty good & I like that it was hot & they didn't skimp on the filling like most other locations. Bean burrito was decent too but definitely needs alot of sauce. Seating is primarily bar stool table tops. Not sure if there's a restroom. Nice NYC style artwork. read more

This Taco Bell is right in the middle of Times Square, but surprisingly their pricing hasn't been outrageous. The nacho fries (my kid's favorite and the primary reason we stop here when in the area) were only about 10 cents more than our usual Taco Bell, and they didn't charge extra for the $5 Taco Tuesday box. There is some seating (mostly high-tops) and bathrooms, and while our order (the customizations) wasn't completely correct the first time we came here, it was quickly fixed without any issues. Times Square is almost entirely chains now, so it's not my first choice around here, but it works when my kid wants a familiar, favorite snack. read more

It's a rare occasion when I have a not so pleasant experience here. So I want to make sure I am giving good reviews too! I usually come by in the AM now for my favorite breakfast, the bacon and egg Crunchwrap. They know me by name at this point and always greet me with a smile. I haven't come in in the past few weeks for various reasons.. being sick, not having to be in the city, blah blah blah. So there's been points I've ordered from my Taco Bell that's closer to my apartment. Horrendous. They never get the order right. Never. I made sure they know it's ridiculous that they have less traffic than the time square location but can't do anything nearly as well as them. Just feeling grateful for good Taco Bell. read more

Just went here to pick up some burritos for lunch. I had ordered 6 items through the app. Upon entering you can see that it was very busy since it is on time Square i can understand that. After receiving my ordere I left as it was crowded and had somewhere to be. About an hour later when i can actually eat the burritos i noticed that there was one item missing. Theis is a little upsetting as i paid for the item and its not there. On the app there is nowhere to write a complaint and on their website even if you do they never get back to you. I should have checked the bag before leaving but this is upsetting. One of the items i did get was the potato fiestas which the potatoes where too hard to eat. I ate those within 10 mins. We ordered through the kiosk and food was ready quickly and quality was as expected and good. Staff were not so nice and continued to ignore customers and were rude. Someone asked if they had a cup for water, and the lady said they were out of cups. But, there was a whole stack of water cups sitting right there. This is my first time dining in at a Taco Bell that serves booze. Apparently there are 10 different TB locations across the country (Las Vegas and Florida m of course) which offer alcoholic beverages. Usually I would get a Mountain Dew Baja Blast or a Tropicana or orange juice, but since I'm in Times Square I decided to get a White Claw Ruby Red Grapefruit with my cheap $5 Burrito Supreme combo. Yo Yo Yo amigo ! After a year Taco Bell finally open their Times Square flagship restaurant next to the Hard Rock Cafe. This is their most modern Cantina with all digital ordering via kiosk or online only. The place is beautifully deck out and cool wall art. They have all the Taco Bell menu items you expect plus beer, which may not be a good idea in Times Square since they will stay open till 3 AM daily. read more

Thank the lord most Taco Bell's aren't like this place. Paid $45 for 6 burritos for the family. Then asked for water cups once I got my burritos. Wouldn't give customers a water cup on a 95 degree day as a paying customer. But the homeless person sucking down soda from the machine who found a dirty glass from outside is perfectly okay. Originally wanting to go in and use the bathroom then buy something to go. Before I walked in with my two other friends; two other girls walked in before us and went straight for the bathroom. The guy didn't say anything to them.. but the moment we got close to the bathroom, that one worker rudely told us "you have to buy something before you use the bathroom". It's not like we weren't going to buy anything.. but he didn't say anything to the girls in front of us and they didn't buy anything before going straight to the bathroom as well. We asked him how come he didn't say anything to the other two girls when they walked in? This was literally a case of discrimination. (PS the girls were white. We're Asian. If you need to use the restroom, keep your receipt or get it to begin with. You order on a kiosk that gives the option of no receipt but they are literally guarding the bathrooms and won't let you in unless you show a receipt. A small child (maybe4) and a mother were trying to use the bathroom for the child. They were not going to let them. I said I just ordered, let them f-ing go and they did. They can use me as their pass. I get you don't want everyone using your restroom BUT....if that's the policy then someone should be yelling to get a receipt and keep it to use the restroom or the no receipt option should be removed from the screen along with signs near all kiosks that say you need a receipt to use the restroom! Other than the horrible policy, the food was really fast and fresh. read more

Worst. Fast food experience. Ever. I had to take a poop and make sure it was out of my system to confirm the above statement was not an exaggeration. My wife and I went with our children to Manhattan for the first time on Labour Day. When we arrived in Manhattan from Queens we wanted something to eat and I chose Taco Bell because I want to experience the fast foods here that are not in my county (Botswana). Long story short, after ordering 1) The wrong name was called - according to both the teller and the manager, it was the machine that shortened my wife's name to just a single letter. 2) There was no apology - both the teller insisted it was our fault that the machine had a fault, even though they wouldn't show us the screen that they were looking at and even though they agreed to re make the order. 3) We didn't get our order accurately - after I demanded our food be made again due to it no longer being fresh and cooling down, I watched the same order being made without any of the extras we ordered and paid for but they were insisted were there. 4) We felt discriminated because my wife's name is African and therefore have our strong suspicions that that is why they changed the name to just the initial letter. The teller even had the audacity to point out that she's black too because of course racial discrimination is the only discrimination in this world. 5) They threw our cups and food at us without a second glance 6) The food was cold, tasted semi cooked and was bland at best. 7) We still haven't received our receipt via text message from the "perfectly working" self service kiosk The 1 star is for the soft drinks we ordered, which I'm pretty sure are not made by Taco Bell themselves. My experience of Taco Bell underwhelmed the underwhelmed experience of my life! Pretty much ruined my first Manhattan trip. Was in need of a bathroom for emergency. Saw 2 girls walk straight in at front of me and was able to use the bathroom without being question or need to buy something first. I was walking right behind them yet the guy stopped me and said I need to purchase something in order to use the bathroom. So I pointed out the fact that why are you stopping me when you let those 2 girls who walked in at front of me use the bathroom. DON'T GO HERE! They will mess up your order and not give you the add-ons that you paid for! I would have gone back to the counter to ask for them but I would be waiting there for a LONG TIME since no one is at the counter to help and I was in a rush. If I waited until I got help, my other item would have gotten cold. Also, their ordering system doesn't have the option to swap meat for beans so I had to tell the manager that I want beans instead of meat and she said she would switch it herself after I ordered. Turns out she didn't do anything so I had to remind her again. That's when she actually told the workers. They got that item correct but my other item they forgot the add-ons that I paid for!
