consistently getting my orders wrong. asked for no sauces yesterday, september 1st, 2026, and got sauces on taco anyways. use auto mated response machine rather than human too much. staff can seem rude and uncaring when letting them know the order was yet again not correct. staff needs to be trained on basic knowledge about products. especially when a customer has dietary issues. when asked staff about an items, answer, "i don't know". the owner of this llc/franchise on washington ave. store, maine charter foods inc., should be making changes to better serve the customers that frequent that location in portland, me. they should be making a public reason why they are so poorly run and strive to do better with trainings and better customer service or people will go elsewhere. there was a woman name jen that was very professional though. wish she was there more often. read more

Went in for a confirmed interview and was told to have a seat and then after waiting for 10 minutes someone finally came out and said they didn't have any space and they were not hiring. I ordered online and they cancelled my order without telling me and told me to resolve it through the app. I tried to go inside to ask for help but there were some people ahead of me and none of them were helped for over 10 minutes before I gave up and left. The food at this location is very good, but it almost never comes out in a fast manner. Additionally, it appeared as though some employees are also watching their children while working... Completely understand in this complicated economic climate, but this is not the optimal location for childcare given they were often running behind the counter where cooking was happening. the worst place to go for food. they don't attend to customers who come inside or acknowledge you, they will look right at you and proceed to do whatever it is that they are doing. The food is never right or it's missing half of the stuff That's supposed to be inside of it. Visited this Taco Bell location today and had a great experience! Spoke with a woman named Jennifer/Jen in the drive thru - she was so kind and made sure I got exactly what I wanted!! Give that woman a raise because she certainly deserves one for her excellent customer service! One thing to know if you plan on going here: it can be sort of challenging to get in or out of the parking lot because making a left on Washington so close to the busy intersection with Allen Ave. poses quite the traffic jam. Once you're in the parking lot, however, it is easy to navigate and has plenty of parking spots (including ramp-accessible spots for those with disabilities) given the small location. read more

This is the worst Taco Bell in town and quite possibly worst I've ever had meals from. It unfortunately should be shut down. Cold uncooked tortillas, orders always have mistakes (ie veggie burrito with steak instead of beans, an entire bottle of sauce or hardly any at all, quesadilla with chicken in two of the four pieces, too much lettuce, etc.) Spicy potato soft taco? No problem...Four pieces of ice cold potato and a quarter bag of iceberg. If you order sauce packets it's a roll of the dice on if it makes it into the bag. I have tried to give it the benefit of the doubt. Stuff happens... places have bad nights or whatever but this has happened again and again to the point I'm a fool if I continue to put money into this establishment and expect anything above what a chimpanzee could make for me the first day on the job. They are often closed in random odd hours because the management sucks so bad they can't keep employees. Read the other review from an actual former worker from this location about the scheduling issues. It's not the minimum wage employees that are at fault here. This is Taco Bell. It's not at all five star dining... but this won't even meet the most bottom of the barrel of standards. I'm a retired military veteran. I got a job here at TacoBell. I told her several times I would not work weekends or on Wednesday. The manager writes the schedule however she wants to instead of listening to the employees. Therefore, everyone calls out; they get daily callouts. I asked her to fix the schedule due to medical reasons and my request that I made upon employmen,t, and instead of her fixing the schedule; she fired me. They are understaffed and now I know why. What annoys me most is that they have a "now hiring" sign, but if you work there, they aren't looking for new hires. They are looking for people to either quit or get fired. Why waste my time? Why do they have a big ass sign upfront, stating "NOW HIRING" if they are just looking for people to screw with? To waste peoples time? If you aren't truly hiring people, then take down the sign. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had not only at a Taco Bell, but at a fast food restaurant. First, I ordered for drive through, but they had me come inside in the rain to pick up my order. When inside, we had to listen to the whole staff SCREAMING about our order, how inconvenient it is, and making fun of us. There was one woman shouting the whole time we were there, and the others stood awkwardly not doing a thing. When we finally got our order, all of it was wrong, exploding, made poorly, packaged poorly, and inedible. We could barely stomach a couple of bites of the cold, messy, impossible to eat food before giving up and throwing it all away. I will never be returning to Taco Bell again. read more

Really not sure why this Taco Bell is even open or why I ever go there but here's a review anyway. I've stopped by a few times in the last year and one time was told in the middle of the day they weren't open, another time was told the drive-through wasn't open so I went inside and waited there literally 40 minutes for a burrito with a bunch of other losers standing around the Taco Bell lobby! It's been quite awhile but I went back tonight and drove through. I ordered a burrito off the dollar menu and another burrito off the two dollar menu and the speaker told me my total would be $9.05. I asked the young man how three dollars plus tax could equal $9.05 with a laugh, and a very Angry sounding woman jumped on to say "He thought you ordered a burrito supreme as well, just drive up!" sort of interesting customer service. I went up to pay and even though for some reason I was charged an extra $.79 I just paid it so that I could just leave there forever. Drove away and when I opened my bag I had two of the one dollar burritos and none of the other ones that I ordered. It's Taco Bell, so I can't be too mad about their poor drive thru service or their employees handling what I hope is an AirSoft gun in the parking lot. Their food, as always, is the same delicious food it has been for decades. I love their classic supreme tacos, and that's what I got today as well. The folks at the register were quite courteous and I received my order quickly. Though it was busy indoors, they got food out at a reasonable pace. The restaurant is clean, and their offerings are numerous. I will be coming back when I want some yummy Taco Bell nachos or tacos. Last time I was there I went through the drive thru and ordered a Nachos bel Grande. Not only did I wait a total of 6 solid minutes at the window, they forgot to give me my drink. I had to drive away a half a mile and then come back to retrieve my drink. The lady apologized but this is unacceptable. If it's going to be that long, you need to have the order accurate. Overall it's a decent place to go. I did see an employee today, showing off a gun from his car in the parking lot. I'm sure he was on a break and it's probably fine, but it is unnerving to know that a Taco Bell employee is casually handling guns in the parking lot. Even with a full kitchen, they had to employ the help of an off-duty employee to attempt to get an order done. Sitting here for a half hour and never saw a single order completed at the drive through or front of house. Never seen more incompetence in a fast food restaurant. Every time there was an issue, every worker had to stop what they were doing to try and fix it. Even with dozens of back orders the workers felt like they could gossip and chat and disregard their duties. The owners simply cannot get things right or more likely really don't care. I just had "lunch" there. There was one car in the drive thru and two people inside the restaurant. One was eating, one was waiting. I ordered two tacos. That's it. I timed how long it took food to come out. 16 minutes! There is no excuse for that. There was no line. Take two taco shells, add meat, add lettuce mix, wrap, bring to counter. We're not splitting the atom here! This has happened every time I've gone here. I've learned my lesson - never again! Worst drive through ever! Who designed this thing? You can't see the menu until you are passed the speaker and the overhang over the speaker is not positioned right so when it's pouring rain like it is today the inside of your car gets soaked and wet while you're trying to place an order! You would think after designing thousands of Taco Bell locations that they would figure out how to get a drive-thru built correctly. Just my humble opinion. So if it's raining don't go because you're going to get soaking wet. And it's going to take forever to order because you're not going to be able to see what's on the menu until you actually passed the point where you order. So be prepared to stay in line for a while. read more

It's interesting to read the other reviews. I had great service here--every time, without fail, and got my food quickly. Maybe I was just lucky. The food tasted fresh and it was well-assembled, not falling apart like Taco Bell stuff often does. For food alone, it was a 9/10. The location is cramped parking-wise and drive-thru wise, but the inside of the building was quite nice. Weirdly, though, they just up and closed. Vague signs hanging on the door. Kinda heartbroken, as there's nowhere else to go for that late-night Chalupa and baja blast mtn dew after a long day at work. I have to guess it either comes down to a disconnected franchise-owner or difficulty with keeping solid managers--unsure. But I wish they'd get it together and re-open. read more

The worst Taco Bell I have ever experienced. We waited in the drive through line for over 20 minutes, people waiting behind us left. Then when we finally got our food we looked in the bag and we were missing 4 items. How does it take that long to make and you still miss items. We then proceeded to go inside so we could get the items we paid for, and had to wait an additional 20 minutes. We figured they got the entire order right at that point especially considering the manager made them. Well we were wrong, they still missed one of the items. While waiting inside for our remaining food, many people asked for a refund and walked out because it was taking so long. The manager did not apologize for making us wait an hour for "fast food".
