I actually HATE this location, compared to others! Funny how I can write 5-Star reviews for most Taco Bell locations, but NOT this one! Why? Several reaons: 1. The skimpy amount of stuff they put in their tacos! 2. How they glob everything into one spot on tacos, NOT spread it evenly like 84th & South Tacoma Way does. 3. The dirtiest, filthiest of any Taco Bell I've ever been to! 4. Menu display is SO SMALL, I can barely read it even with glasses! In fact, I have to just order what I'm familiar with because I can NOT read their menu! My last visit there was probably my LAST visit there! I clearly stated my order was FOR HERE, then got it in a bag! I hate places that do that! It shows a lack of LISTENING to their customers! Why ask if it's for here or to go if you're going to serve it how YOU want to? I did say something to the guy who prepared it when he called out my order. I said "That was supposed to be for here". His response? "My screen was locked up!". HUH??? PARDON ME??? Well, take it out of the bag and put in on a tray!!!! I couldn't believe him! He didn't. He just walked away! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! The ONLY thing I have noticed about this particular location is the service and food are MUCH better if you go during the day. Apparently that's because the General Manager is there. But stop by at night and check out the mess in the kitchen. Oh wait, not kitchen, but ORDER PREPARATION AREA!!! You might gag! Why did I give this location 2 stars instead of 1? Ok so worst experience ever!! I don't usually take things too heart. I know they where busy... staff is not attentive nor did they communicate that we had to use the kiosk to order(which was confusing) poor people behind me had to wait. The staff then sent my order out of the window so had to wait longer... i was on lunch break and kinda in a hurry. So instead of fixing the problem the staff kept arguing back and forth. The manager sitting in office was yelling back and forth with them.. instead of trying to fix it as well. Listen, Taco Bell is Taco Bell right? Greasy and quick food. I'm not here to knock the food I think we all know what to expect. My family and I rarely go to Taco Bell but when we do we always order the exact same thing everytime. However, we also recognize that each location can vary slightly on their offerings. No problem, not a big deal. So when my husband put our order in at the drive thru, the hostility (yeah you read that right) we received when they said they didn't carry a specific item was a bit over the top. Not only was the woman EXTREMELY short and clearly annoyed that we asked for said item in the first place, but she refused to state if there was something comparable on the menu. Once we pulled up to the window the two women working were CLEARLY talking sh** about us, to a point where it felt as if they WANTED us to hear them. It was so uncomfortable and uncalled for. We didn't say anything because it actually FELT like they were hoping we would and start a confrontation. That's how blantly, openly, hostile they were. Listen guys I've worked in the food industry, and I've worked customer service for many years. I get its a tough job, and customers can be rude and annoying. But I have never in my entire life had an experience like this one, nor have I seen anyone treated like this when getting food. It was so confusing and over the top. Fantastic location in the heart of Tacoma! Really enjoyed the overall experience of this location even though it is the same food and the same prices as if I were to go to the Taco Bell by my house. The staff is friendly and the food was made fast. As usual the food is affordable and tastes really good for what you pay for. The place was clean! Tables were kept up to shape and the chairs are hat but supportive. The bathroom was surprisingly clean for a fast food location and the floors did not feel slippery. There is plenty of parking throughout the business area and I did like the Baja Blast Freeze that I got in addition to the 12 pack of tacos that my friends and I shared when we were visiting Tacoma to go to the Toyota Show nearby. I would come to this location again if I am ever in Tacoma because it was a good experience. read more

Well, those young workers are amazing! They are very gracious, have wonderful manners and I have never had a bad experience with the people there. That is saying something for young people on minimum wage. Can you dig that? This is probably the worse Taco Bell I've been too. The service is insanely slow. We were one of two people in the place and it took at least ten minutes in between orders. There was a good 4 employees working. Not Including a manager in the back and another manager in the dining room working with what appeared to be her daughter. The eating area was legit freezing... and it's December. There is air blowing out. Even the manager was complaining about the air. Our food arrives and there is seriously two drops of cheese on the chips of which I have two orders of. I ask the employee for more cheese to which the manager says they can charge me for. Ummm no. My Crunchwrap was so thin I don't even think there was more than 2 tomatoes and a sprinkle of lettuce and a small scoop of beans. Waste of my money. I ordered through the drive thru. I ordered a taco box. when I was given my order, it was all in a bag. The Taco box was in a bag. So I asked the guy if that was all my order and he said "yes". I gave the back so they can reconfirm my order. In less than 1 minute the guy return the "bag" to me and said the order was complete. I was pressed for time to pick up my grandkids from school. I got home (not far away) and proceeded to unload the bag. There was only 6 of the12 tacos ordered. She said hold on then hung up on me. I called back and another lady answered the phone, indicated she made the order and she was the manager. I explained the situation and before I could finish...she hung up on as well. I called back and a another lady indicated she was the manager and she made my food order and she covers the phone and ask if they should make the (6) crunchy tacos that I had ordered then hung up on me AGAIN!!! By this time I'm beyond annoyed/furious. I drove up to the establishment on 38th street and all three (3) ladies were waiting at the door. I apologized for MY IRATE TONE and explained that one would be irate if 3 phone calls resulted in 3 phone calls being hung up. They're only response was there's you order!!!!!! I told them they were unprofessional and should work on their people skills. If you are unhappy working there then do not extend that attitude to your customers. My wife is pregnant and wanted a burrito. I walked to see if one of the other restaurants was open and they were not so I walked to Taco Bell and the lobby was closed, since I was on foot I couldn't activate the drive thru sensor and I ended up knocking on the window. I waited in the drive line for 20 minutes, and there were only a few cars. To add insult to injury, I did not receive my chalupa with the other food, but I was charged for it. Not worth arguing with them over two dollars and wasting even more of my time to go there. The nachos tasted disgusting as well. I almost threw up on the first (and only) bite. I ordered 23.00 of food and did not get my complete order and no receipt. I drove all the way back, and I told them what food was missing and the employee took it back to the kitchen area and showed her manager whom used her dirty gloves to touch the food that was in the bag. Then opens up the chalupa to show me that's what it was when it was the wrong one and then proceeded to close it back up and put it back into the bag she got attitude. Then she just had them make what was missing after she used dirty gloves to touch the food I already had. When I asked if they remade the whole order she said no just what was missing. I asked for a refund and they said they don't give refunds. I'm sure that's a health and safety violation.
