Two stars for prompt service by smiling employee working the drive thru. Not two days ago I was asking my Alexa for Taco Buenos nearby. She gave me some choices and I picked the two closest locations. Called both, neither were current working numbers. Low and behold I was pulling out of Home Depot Tonite and I spot the White Settlement restaurant! Excitedly I phoned my sister who immediately changed her dinner order from the nearby chicken house, to Taco Bueno. We have missed you so! $21 spent 2 mexi dip/chip 2 muchaco 3 crispy tacos What happened? Chips thicker, decidedly older and FEWER, we noted. My companion wondered if muchaco was under the influence of Taco Bell (ugh). Our mexidips/chips was Devastatingly disappointing. Totally bummed me out. Gross gross gross. It's a shame. Taco Bueno used to be a go to for me during lunch. Mexi-Dips and chips was great. Today.....never again. Cheese is given in a small cup to begin with but then that's same small cup is only about half full. Beans look and taste like they were from last week at minimum and the guacamole just tastes bad. I also ordered a chicken and potato burrito. Just plain nasty. I will never and I mean never go back. Taco Bueno is dead, they just don't realize it yet. Got the whole order wrong and when I took the chilada platter back for them to make the right CHILADA TACO platter they put a wrapped taco with my chilada and there was chili and queso all over the wrapper! Cold Meat soft tortilla as hard as a cracker food was OLD we will Never eat there again period. I tossed food in trash. Worst Taco Bueno! Every time I come here the service is horrible. Tonight I went through the Drive through. Got there at 10:15... Taco Bueno's website says it closes at 11 so I have plenty of time. Get there and no one is answering the drive thru. So I pull up to the window and the Girl that answered tells me that they close at 10:30.... IT WAS 10 freaking 15!!! And the sign was still lit in front saying OPEN. I showed her on the website that it said 11. And she just Shrugged to me... WTF! This place needs to hire some new people and not Lazy people. This is the same girl I've encountered a couple of times with an attitude. I am a manager so I know how hard it is to work food and retail. This was just a horrible experience. I stopped here for a quick meal yesterday on my way to work. When I arrived it was about 4:30 PM and there were 2 gentlemen standing in line. They let me go ahead of them because they we still deciding. I quickly decided what I wanted and stepped up to the counter. A young man was standing there but apparently could log in to the register and a argument broke out between him and the girl working the drive through. Finally a woman in the kitchen yelled at the girl to log in so the boy could take me order. After he took my order if 2 tacos and nachos plus a drink I waited 15 minutes for my food. I had to take it to go and I'm glad I did as I stood there and waited I was over come with the smell of dirty mop water and realized as I looked into the kitchen it's floors were covered in puddles. When I finally got my food it was okay. I sat in my car and ate the tacos which were stale and tasteless. I ended up throwing the nachos away when I made it to work. I had one bite and decided they weren't worth it. I won't return to this location. The staff is rude and slow. This is my 1st impression of Taco Beno and I don't think I'll try it again with so many better options here in TX. read more

Today was the first time going to taco bueno. Heard about it so finally decided to try it. Absolutely HORRIBLE. The amount of salt on everything tasted like the salt shaker lost its lid and they dumped it ALL in everything but the nachos. The chips had no salt at all. Got the box with burritos and tacos and could not finish it without feeling sick from the saltiness of everything. Honestly disappointed in how horrible everything tasted. read more

My daughter who just got done at urgent care wanted a taco from bueno(I dont know why, we dont usually go there...we are taco casa peeps for fast food) so I went to the first one I seen because she wasnt able able to eat all day and it was now almost 4pm. We pull in the delive thru to see a note on the order box saying "closed until mor people come work. I'm here myself" ....so I drive around to see if anyone was maybe inside getting served. The one person working(I assume on the clock) was sitting outside smoking a joint and waved at us as we drove off. Just curious if he locked the doors or were people inside standing around. I used to love taco bueno ... like they were my favorite ... and sometimes I think back to that time and stop by and order food ... and then I remember why I do not go to a taco bueno anymore ... got the $5 box with the .99 cent drink .. drive thru lady was rude about the drink order ... trying to trick me it felt into a more expensive drink.. the party burrito maybe had a tablespoon of beans and sauce in a sloppilly made party burrito.. the party taco shell was so old and stale you could barely bite into it .. it was not eaten.... and the muchaco was a hasty slop in a very chewy shell ( stale) ( did not eat that either) ... the queso and chips were a joke ... but the chips were actually fresh tasting so I ate them with the decent salsa ... what happened to you taco bueno.... so sad and disappointing .. read more

Just stood in line inside for 10 minutes and was never acknowledged. They were taking care of the drive thru while the other two employees were making food. At the very least they could've said "We'll be right with you or we're a little busy, we'll be right with you." That was too hard apparently so they went with the just ignore him option. read more

Terrible service tonight. Drive thru forgot part of my order. We noticed once we got home. We tried to call the store 7 times and it was busy each time. I went back and the manager, Ashley, was rude. I asked her to make us what we were missing and to remake my burrito since it would be cold once I got home. She refused to remake my burrito since I didn't bring it. We ordered 2 bean burritos and were in the drive thru for 15 minutes!!!!!! 15 minutes. By the time we got to the window, they had to retake our order and said they were just backed up. We ended up leaving without getting our food due to the time we spent waiting. Went in there with a couple of co-workers during lunch, when we got to work we noticed we were short of an chicken quesadilla we had ordered. We called and told them what happened and the manager on shift Brandon told us that he had realized it five minutes after we left, we asked if he could write our name down since we were not given a receipt but he said that we were and we needed it for them to give us the item he acknowledged they forgot to give us. I tried to tell him that we did not have it and if he could just write our name down since he admitted it was their fault but he did not want to work with us, when we asked for a company number he denied it and told us to call tomorrow to speak with his manager. This location was as good as the Lake Worth location was bad yesterday. Greeted quickly and with a smile, recieved the food in a timely manner and the supervisor on duty checked on us to ensure we received the correct order. I'm not sure why this restaurant is getting so much hate. I was a little skeptical after reading all the bad reviews, but with all the Buenos closing in the area, I figured I'd give one of the last remaining ones a shot. After checking the health inspector's review of this place(which was about on par with most restaurants) I went and ate there. The place was clean, the food was good, and nobody was rude. I've been back again, and they seem pretty consistent. If you're a fan of Taco Bueno, don't hesitate to come to this one. read more

I stopped in the Taco Bueno to get me a dinner snack on the way back to the house. I got the Macho or mucho bladder I can't really remember which one it was called came with a variety of items in it. the reason being drama completely and a double the rice and so salty that basically I just couldn't eat it and the beans were kind of stale tasting I didn't even know that was possible. The tiger wasn't bad but it was definitely no Taco Casa Taco I would say it was probably about the same as Taco Bell aspect. The other main items were actually okay it did come with a large thing of can queso definitely not fresh queso it was the yellow case of the comes out of a big gigantic can and it's heated. Guacamole and sour cream weren't bad I wouldn't say was fresh guacamole but it's really hard to tell there wasn't any like pieces of guacamole avocado or onion or tomato or anything like that indicate that have been freshly made. The chip that it came in was stale that wasn't very good at all. The best thing that came with that platter was the chips and salsa on the side honestly. Then just to try it out I tried one of those Taquitos. That was 10 times better than the Macho mucho platter. And if I had to do it all over again I would have just ordered a bunch of those. This one's going to be difficult to rate because the taquito what was actually however the main dish was actually not good so end up with three out of five stars on this. read more

I give my order knowing I'm going to be missing some food... 15 minutes of waiting for what is supposed to be "fast food" and yes, food was missing. Growing up Taco Bueno was a special treat! I prefer bueno over bell any day! However, I have noticed their burritos are getting smaller and smaller every time I visit. I like to get just the regular bean burrito. My boyfriend gets the combo burrito and it is double the price and about the same size. NOT WORTH IT. It definitely does not fill you up. We ended up spending $20-something for both of us and we were not satisfied. :( read more

This Taco Bueno used to be my favorite fast food taco place. I am sad that it has changed so much in the past year. They either cannot or will not get an order straight. The last takeout I bought caused me to make 2 additional trips to get what I ordered and PAID for. Since it was a favorite I gave them additional chances. The order has not been correct the last half dozen times. I am through. The mistakes are ALWAYS in their favor either by leaving things off completely or by giving you a smaller size and charging you for the larger. Employees are very rude and especially snippy if you ask for a special that has been advertised on TV for a week. Goodbye Taco Bueno, Taco Bell and Taco Casa are only a block away. read more

I have always been a fan of Taco Bueno, but this location is pitiful. Service is slow, food is often cold, stale and they are stingy. Often times smells like sewage when you walk in as well. Last time I ate there was my last when my food reeked of cigarette smoke. I'm not sure how that happens, but the point is, food is not supposed to smell like that. read more

This was an excellent experience at Taco Bueno. I have been to many stores in my travels but none lived up to the care and experience I received from this one. The order was perfect and the general manager Chase and his friendly staff made sure I had an excellent dining experience. This Taco Bueno has very polite staff and I've never had any trouble with them getting an order right. There's been a few times that service was very slow, but I attributed it to them being short staffed as I could see very few people in the kitchen through the drive-thru window.
